Spirit Spirits

To see a spirit, a disembodied personality, in a dream may symbolise thoughts or feelings on death, but very often it shows a past memory or experience that still haunts you, perhaps because it has never been fully felt. This full experience of it is a sort of exorcism, banishing the ghost.

The spirit in your dream may be a contact with the dead, or those about to be born. In some cases, the spirit comes to the parents and asks them to form a body for it as it wishes to incarnate, and they could provide a suitable body and family environment.

Hi i had a dream last night where there was a very large spider in the corner of one of my rooms, but i could see the body of it, it seemed to have been covered almost but its legs peaked out, the legs were extremely long and it freaked me out the length of them and they were thin. I kept asking my boyfriend to get rid of it, but he refused and i sensed he was scared also. It seemed as if he was upset that i wanted him ti be the one to kill it or get rid of it.

Hi – I am stopping from answering your posts fully – but will try to give hints; sometimes long ones because I quote from masses I have already put online. Also I need to take time to update the site – dreamhawk.

It would help you to understand your dreams, if you would read – http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/questions-2/#Summing also http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/features-found-on-site/

Nothing can replace your own ability to understand your dream. With a little effort you can do it by practicing what is described in – http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPersonOrThing

Whenever we dream its images are not like real life, because a dream is nothing like outer life where things could hurt you, but is an image like on a cinema screen, so that even if a gun is pointed at you and fired it can do no damage – except if you run in fear; so, all the things that scare you are simply your own fears projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind.

It is also important to realise that every image, every scary or terrifying thing, is taken place inside you, in your mind, as you sleep. This means that every awful animal, every scary thing, or person, is created out of your own fears and must not be seen as outside you as happens in waking awareness. The problem is that we are often scared of or frightened of experiencing our emotions and so they confront us in our dreams. Avoiding them or controlling them is like running away from oneself – there is no escape.

So why not face and deal with the fear, it is only going to grow. See http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/questions-2/#FaceFear

About 4 nights ago I had a dream that I was outside on the phone looking toward the sky. I can’t remember who I was talking too, but I saw on my left side two big full beautiful moons and to my rigth was Jupiter so huge I could see it with my naked eye and as if I could almost touch it. This pleased me and at the same time scared me because I had never seen anything like this. I recall asking myself in the dream is this the end?, but at the time I was very happy.

Last night again I had a very vivid dream. I dreamed that I was at a river that at first seemed dried, but all of a sudden there was water coming through, it was gentle and it was relaxing and filled the river, I was happy. Then to my left I saw a spiritual tool that I use for prospertiy and it too was in the river with me, when all of the sudden I am taken where the river and the beach meet, suddently I find myself just enjoying and relaxing at the beach. I am asking for your help because for these past days, I have not been able to get these dreams out of my head. I am wondering what this could mean.

I dream vividly and remember most of them. They vary from problem solving, spiritual and at times sexual. Is the subconscious a processor of information that we give it?

    Fiona – An interesting question.

I feel it is a two way process as far as I can understand it. You see every cell in the body is a living creature, although separated they cannot achieve much. Also they are all trying to survive, and survival means problem solving. So problem solving is a part of our very deepest self – our core self. But it is not simply problem solving, but our being also wants to flourish, and that is a very big subject.

So from our core comes the desire to survive and flourish, and we have a new level of experience called self or self awareness. Unfortunately that often gets itself into a situation of conflict with the very core processes. But if it learns to be in harmony, then wonderful things can happen. Because we can give it useful and clear feedback. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/conditioned-reflexes-or-responses/

And thank you for what you said about the site.

    Tony
