Title: Why Do We Resist Or Repress Ourselves?
Post by: Tony Crisp on August 26, 2019, 11:58:43 AM
Your wife’s dream of resisting waves of great pleasure was very interesting. I wonder why we resist and block pleasure. I’ve also noticed doing it in other things. The other day I was going for a run and got stitch and tired quite a long way from home. I was running under some huge oaks and I practiced “communicating” with them and their strong energy to exchange energy. And I felt the boost which kept me going. I was so high on this feeling that I cut it off. I think the reasons were a) that I was frightened it would be taken away from me for some reason by an external agency and then I wouldn’t know whether I could access it again, whereas if I cut it off, there was always the possibility in my head that I could access it; and b) gosh, if I can do this what can/should I do with this ability – where does it lead – it doesn’t seem to fit in with my life. Dave - What most of us fail to realise, usually because we feel there is nothing beyond what we experience daily, is the power that keeps you alive, mostly through spontaneous movements such as breathing and heartbeat. I  give it the name of Life Will. Our Life Will has its own agenda, and if we go against it, it leads to ill health, depression and some form of failure. So, with dream like yours. It isn't that the Life Will wants to control you but being raised in a culture that is largely about getting more money, getting what we want, and believing what might be totally at odds with our best interest, we experience a conflict while we sleep.

Obviously you blocked Life acting upon your conscious personality through fear - it would be taken away - which is you trying to take control of your own existence. But the truth is we have never been totally in control of ourselves. It wasn't your mother who build your body cell by cell, for she didn't know the immense complexity of forming a living being. It was the process of Life and Life has agendas of its own - so it is worth learning what they are. I can't tell you that, for we are all so amazingly unique, but you can learn to listen to that amazing communication.
