I want joyful dreams
« on: December 27, 2015, 12:36:55 PM »
Hi Tony, often my dreams are agitated and are full of difficult emotions, sadness, loss, vulnerability. I know I have a lot of emotion I was never allowed to express or feel and there is a lot of truth that was denied me.  I can see how it is good for all this to be released from my unconscious, but I'm getting sick of it and it takes me most of the day to recover from a strong dream.

I have had dreams in the past that were full of beauty or awe, but they are so rare. I really would like more nourishing dreams, dreams of joyful things and loving encounters. I'm so tired of waking up every morning and piecing together the scraps or mapping out another dream journey of being mistreated or abused.

I do meditate and that definitely gives more clarity to the dreams - but any other suggestions you might have would be appreciated.

Omega – I had years of it, not as dreams but waking up each morning feeling, “Oh God, not another day!!” Then one day I woke and it was cleared and I had a quiet pleasant feeling. It was unbelievable.

The only advice I can give is the methods I used. Of course some people are helped by using antidepressants, but my decision was to hand myself over to the process of life described in http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/lifes-little-secrets/

I was desperate and so decided I would carry on even if it killed me – which it eventually did, because my old painful, traumatised and fearful self had to die to give birth to a new me. So I dove into my internal mess again and again and slowly transformed it – it took years because of the waste bin I had been, but there were blue skies and sunshine on the way.

As explained in the links below thoroughly exploring at least one dream a week was a lifesaver as was LifeStream.

I also feel habits are incredibly important. See http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/habits/ - - http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/integration-meeting-oneself/ and - http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dream-yoga/
