white snake dream
« on: November 23, 2017, 11:36:04 PM »
Hello Tony. I had a dream about 7 snakes I was trying to put them all on rocks in a garden, maybe my Grandmas garden. All the snakes would stay put as I wanted them to, except the last on the highest rock which was at the center of the display. He was a white snake mostly, had those black patterned lines that snakes have but he kept moving from the rock and the last I saw of him was that he was next to a wooden fence, disappearing. Then he was gone and it stopped me from creating my snake rockery. All the others including a yellow snake were staying still, as I had planned it.

Mernel – It is significant and also highly symbolical as far as dreams are concerned. Seven is often used in dreams to represent the cycles of life – 7, 14, 21 etc.; a week; seven candles, seven churches, seven chakras, seven colours, seven notes in music – so represents human wholeness. The seven knots on the rope Mohammed saw hanging from heaven, which probably means there are seven levels of experience we need to experience to be able to enter heaven. These obviously also relate to the seven chakras and seven candles and seven churches. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dimensions-of-human-experience/ - http://dreamhawk.com/yoga/the-chakras-part-1/

The snakes are just as rich in association as the number seven. For in dreams they depict our fundamental life function or energy, which is the huge potential we all have, but often is restricted or repressed, and the snake is often shown as having seven heads. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/snake-dreams/

Okay, your dream – you are very well acquainted with the snake energy in your life, and are busy allowing it a situation in which it can grow and flourish – the garden. But the highest one is not doing what you expect it to do. That is the energy that reaches the top of the head. I am not sure why it does its own thing, except that perhaps it is because it often moves us rather than us moving it.

That is a truth that many people fail to understand, that life is us has its own will. Many practitioners of yoga and Christianity have misunderstood this. It is obvious that the first step one took in the Christian path was Pentecost, where the gathering was moved by Life/the Holy Spirit. They moved not by their own will by singing hymns and repeating words already told them, but were drunk with the spirit and it moved their body, their emotions and their voice by its own power.

In yoga too there is a level of hatha yoga in which the practitioner sits with crossed legs, and releases spontaneous movement. See http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/opening-to-life/ and http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/lifes-little-secrets/
