A bear, a cougar and a beast
« on: March 28, 2018, 01:00:02 AM »
I was walking along a path in the woods.  The path was clear of branches and well packed, but it was quite hilly.  As I walked I saw a bear.....a very big bear!  I started to walk quicker and the bear was looking at me and walking along side me but at a distance through the trees.  Then I saw a cougar, also walking through the trees.  I was really frightened and I began to run.

A man came out of the trees and told me to stop running....they wouldn't hurt me if I walked normally.  So I tried to slow my pace.  I kept walking and so did the bear and cougar, but they stayed in the trees.  I was nervous but I trusted what the man said and I didn't run.

Then a beast came toward me.  It was like a big wild cat but of an unknown species.  It started to growl at me and I again I was frightened.  It took a swipe at me and its claws scratched me.  It was painful but I wasn't injured and the pain quickly went away.  The man told me to keep walking and the beast backed away.

Then I awakened. I didn't want to wake up but I was being called out of my sleep.

Aranlass – In dreams animals are quite different than animals met in waking life. Dream animals are reflections of our own emotions, so when you walked the bear walked with you, but when you felt fear the bear reflected this and was ready to attack. Whenever we dream its images are not like real life, because a dream is nothing like outer life where things could hurt you, but is an image like on a cinema screen that even if a gun is pointed at you and fired it can do no damage – except if you react in fear; so all the things that scare you are simply your own fears projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind. See https://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/brain-levels-and-dreams/#mammalbrain

The man was the wise part of you and said not to run from your own fears. See https://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/masters-of-nightmares/

Thank you for your response Tony!  It makes sense to me.

I was wondering if there is ever any sort of future telling or prophesy in our dreams.  Is it always just ourselves telling ourselves information or could there ever be an element of angels or beings of some sort telling us what might happen moving forward?

Aranlass – Yes of course it does, but the difficulty is that dreams are a symbolised version of the original communication. So the eye receives reflected light from an object that is translated into nervous impulses, which is then received by the brain which translates what are formless nerve impulses into what we feel we see. So in dreams we tend to put pictures or images collected from everyday experiences to put an interpretation on our formless dreams. We do this because we tend to have an experience of the world based on our body senses, and our dreams and communications from the dead come from a very different environment or dimension, so we put it in images and ideas we understand.

But most people still think in very old views of what we call the spiritual. The spiritualist views of spirits and angels and prophecy. But with the realisation of quantum physics where space and time no longer exist except for our body senses, the future and past are all the same, and known, so we do not need to predict anything. See https://dreamhawk.com/news/there-is-a-huge-change-happening/

But here are some examples of what you mentioned:

Suddenly there were two beings with me in my room.
I could not see them with my eyes,
But they were standing in my awareness,
To my left, suspended above the bed
Where I lay musing.
Surprising, because I had not sought them.
Frightening, because they were the living dead.
Radiant, because they were angels.
Inspiring, because they shone with wonderful life.
Uplifting, because of the gift they brought.
The living dead!
Yes. That I knew of them.
It was everywhere about them,
Communicating itself to me.
Telling me the majesty of death.
Speaking to me without words
They led knowing in me,
As you might lead a friend
Through your new house,
Revealing its secrets.
Thereby I knew,
All that I considered human,
In them had died.
Desire, longing to possess, sex, ambition,
All had melted away.
And I understood in their presence,
If I surrendered to the Highest,
This was my path.
My own person would melt away,
My desires fade like shadows in the sun.
Fear – Yes – in the loss of myself.
In the sense of my own futility.
In the knowledge of my littleness.
In the confrontation of majesty.
At the loss of what I thought my wisdom.
In them I saw beyond myself.
Through their emptiness
Of all that I so valued.
I saw shimmering light,
Cosmic in its vastness.
Their death allowed,
Shining through them,
Dimensions of a life
Beyond the very best
Of all my mind, or love, or art.
Radiant they were
With all the mystery of life itself.
Suns shone through them;
Not just with light,
But with ungrasped joy and love.
Inspiring me
By showing me the possibility
Of my life,
And all the lives
Of those myriads around me.
Uplifting too,
By unveiling to me
The meaning of the story He told,
Where, having lost ones cloak,
You offer your coat also.
Not, as I had thought,
An act of selfless generosity.
They said it was a statement.
“How strange. You want this old coat,
When you could have the life unbounded?”
That was their promise.
If I dared lose my self,
Let that coat be taken from me,
My being too would shine.
As theirs shone on me that day.

Hi Tony,
I am at a place where I really need external advice and hoping for a divine being to tell me what to do.  In my dream I was afraid and a man told me not to be.  He told me not to run and everything would be okay.  I'd like to think that he was some sort of angel or heavenly being assuring me that I was on the right path and whether walking or running, I'm sure I would end up in the same place as he did not tell me to turn around.

I see that physics suggests that time and space do not exist. But for me in my space or moment, I do not know what will happen in the next minute and it would be convenient if some other being out side of me could tell me which path is the best one to take to alter those next minutes.  It kind of makes me sad if that still has to come from within me as I will always forever wonder if I made the right decision.

My Dear Aranlass – All dreams come from the Holy, for we are all built on Holy Ground. So the dream man who came out of the woods – which is the magical world of the unconscious, full as it is of strange forces, primeval creatures and miraculous people – so he is what you were looking for.

His instructions were not to keep running, for you are feeling anxiety about what direction to take in life, and anxiety causes you to run away from what is natural within you. For you were running from the level of yourself that is usually drowned out by your daily life or civilized activities. You will be more aware of meeting your internal animals. This is the country of dreams and the unconscious. In the woods you are in touch with the forces and wisdom of Life, and the man was part of that.

“I understood from this that the silence I have managed to find or create within myself is the enclosure. My everyday attitudes are incredibly controlling as far as allowing spiritual aspects of myself to emerge and develop.”

Please read https://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/big-bang-and-god-are-the-same/ and https://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/mountain-path/

It is by silencing your anxiety that you will realise your own Splendid Angelic Being. Perhaps try using https://dreamhawk.com/body-and-mind/the-slow-breath/ or https://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/water-wonderland/
