Airport

Refers to making new departures; changes, hoped for or real; desire or need for adventure. This could be mentally, emotionally or sexually; achieving goals; being en-route to something, or something new in life; a checking of one’s own values, identity, a sort of self assessment in regard to independence and moving to new opportunities. Self doubts and uncertainties at this stage stop us from attempting the new; occasionally the departure point for ‘higher planes’; considering that a flight might take us to new places, opportunities or relationships, the airport can represent a terminus or change in connection with any of these.

Landing at airport: Meeting a new experience; arriving at a goal or ambition; coming down to earth after being involved in flights of fancy, creativity or change.

Missing a flight at airport: Feeling anxious about plans not working out, or failing to meet deadline; lost opportunity; warning that you are cutting things fine and might actually miss a plane, etc.

Picking someone up from airport: Meeting a change in your life; something arriving in your opportunities or experience that is out of the normal day to day events or routine.

If it is someone you know: it suggests a greater alliance with the aspect of yourself suggested by the person, or perhaps an alliance with that person.

Planning airport stops: Clarifying strategy for a goal you wish to reach, or change you are attempting to make.

Difficulties in realising: The route suggest things you sense stand in the way of realisation of goal. Stranded or delayed at airport:

Difficulties with changes going on; anxiety about changes.

Trying to get to airport: Attempting a change or to get to a goal; moving toward a new departure, or a change from the usual routine – unless flights are part of your usual routine.

See: aeroplane; foreign countries.

Useful Questions and Hints:

Where am I trying to arrive at in life?

Am I trying to escape or ‘fly/flee’ from something?

Is my present situation new territory or ‘foreign’ country to me?

What risks am I taking at the moment?

Hi,
Had a troubling dream last night that I was outside an unrecognizable airport and my mum, who’s currently 77 and was wearing black was frantically looking for, I assume me. I was right there but it was like I was invisible. I watched her, she was briefly accompanied by my aunt, who later disappeared. I was saying ‘mum! I’m here! And I think she acknowledged me. She was standing right in front of me but her eyes only looked down and she looked really sad. Then someone said to me, ‘your mums here and so is your dad, he’s standing right next to you’. My dad passed away 17 years ago, so this is a troubling dream. Is it about death?

    -Tony Crisp 2018-06-26 7:35:13

Jim – Yes it’s about death, but life and death are intricately entwined and so cannot be separated. But I don’t see it as about your own physical body death.

Why is it a troubling dream, you didn’t explain. But to really communicate what your dream is about, you need to know that while we sleep our conscious self is largely or totally unconscious, and while we dream our voluntary muscles are paralysed – therefore another will or motivating force moves our body. So we have a Conscious Will, and what I will call a Life Will. The first one we have experience of as we can move our arm or speak in everyday activities; but the second will takes over when we sleep and in fact runs all our important life processes like heart beat, digestion and also dreams.

In this dimension we are in a wider awareness, in this wider awareness you leave the limited view of the three dimensional world most of us are trapped in, and enter a world beyond time and space. I list dreams as an in between place – in between waking and dreamless sleep with no dream images.

So in dreams we tend to put pictures or images collected from everyday experiences to put an interpretation on our formless dreams. We do this because we tend to have an experience of the world based on our body senses, and our dreams and communications from the dead come from a very different environment, so we put it in images and ideas we understand.
So when we dream about a dead person communicating with us it can be distorted by our view of what death is – or our associations with the dead person. So if we believe in ourselves that when a person dies they are finished it creates our own view of death, or one that is a mixture of a real communication and our beliefs. Such thoughts, even if unconscious, can cause such dreams of seeing the person we know has died being seen alive in their coffin and assuring us that they are very much alive.
So in your dream you use the image of an airport, representing a long journey – which your dad already took when he died. But you left out important information, so I assume your mother was still alive. If that is so it is your father coming to escort your mother as she passes out of bodily life.

Your mother looks sad maybe because she has not seen what life is like without a body and so does not like the prospect. But Jim, I have met this dream before often, and the death doesn’t happen right afterwards, sometimes weeks or longer. I dreamt about being stranded in an airport because of heavy rain. Im with my neice and my nephew, then suddenly some guys were pointing guns and tried to fire them. I feel so worried for them it’s just because they’re too young to experience that kind of situation. I tried to fight all those guys by brawling them, and i got my neice and nephew back to home safely. We started crying after the incident, and i actually woke up crying on my pillow.

So what does this dream means?

Hi – It would help you to understand your dreams, if you would read – http://dreamhawk.com/news/summing-up/ and also http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/features-found-on-site/ which has so much information in.

Nothing can replace your own ability to understand your dream. With a little effort you can do this by practising what is described in – http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson or http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/getting-at-your-dreams-meaning/

    Tony

Arj – Your dream shows you fighting your own fears. I take it guns are common in use in your country, so it is fear you meet. But such fears only deal with the waking world. Because whenever we dream its images are not like real life, because a dream is nothing like outer life where things could hurt you, but is an image like on a cinema screen that even if a gun is pointed at you and fired it can do no damage – except if you run in fear. So all the things that scare you are simply your own fears projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind.

If you are a woman your love and care for your family can trigger your mothering instincts with a vengeance. Being female and a mother holds with it an enormously increased anxiety about children. You see all manner of things that might be a threat, and I believe that is what such dreams shows. Your imagination for such dangers is enormously increased.

I had a dream my fiancé snuck me into a Justin Bieber concert sitting in the VIP section. My fiancé got pulled on stage 3 times with Justin Bieber. Not to mention Justin Bieber was young again maybe about 14. Later after the show, Justin and I talked for hours and enjoyed each others company. I explained to him that we talked previously in another dream I had and I wanted to speak to him again. He said no and drove me to the airport. When I told him I was staying and said “oh shit my bad” and drove me back. I woke up when he was about to give me his number.

I had a dream I was in the military, which I have never been, I was with my platoon at an airport trying to catch a flight, my ticket was different which caused me a delay and to loose platoon. Then got lost trying to find my terminal. Any interpretations of this dream???

I had a dream that my mother is in the airport and about to leave. She has a luggage with her and she’s also wearing a shawl. I did not see myself in the dream but I knew that I felt upset because she’s leaving me behind. What’s the meaning of that?

I’ve had this dream a couple times now. I’m driving on the freeway which has traffic. I see the sign for my exit so I head towards it then I’m in a long line for a teller at an airport. I show my passport and then next I’m on the plane but then I wake up.

Okay so this is gonna sound weird but.. I had 2 similar dreams about an airport. Both times I was late and it was the same airport. But it was an airport that I’ve never seen before. So the first time was about me and my mom being late for a flight. We were going on a vacation. But I totally understand because I had this dream 1week before our flight (yes we were going on a vacation in real life) so anyway I guessed that was because of my anxiety or something. But the second one I had was 1 week after I got back from the vacation. I was flying home with my sister and her daughter – this happened in real life. But in my dream.. So the airport was the same. And I was late for the flight. But the funny thing is that I was with her child, we were late, we were running towards the entrance of the building. But it was just the 2 of us. My sister was already inside, somewhere, maybe even going to the plane. So that second dream made no sense I guess because I had it like a week later after I got back home

Hi – I am going to halt from answering your posts – the reason is that in so many of your post I give the same information to many people. That is because most posts do not realise the difference between dreaming and waking life. /it makes a great difference.

So, most of what I put in answers is my attempt at explain what dreams are really about. It would help you to understand your dreams, if you would read – http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/questions-2/#Summing it would help me, and hopefully you too.

I had a dream that me and my hubby are in airport waiting to board a flight in a foreign country and he was kind fondling me in the public. When they announced the boarding he left me and began to walk and i was running behind him. Then I saw that he missed one of our baggage back and I ran to get it. By the time people started boarding the aircraft and it was heavily crowded all over the airport. It kind of looked like a local airport. I got the baggage and waiting in the queue to check in the baggage and they said they are closing the baggage counter as it was heavily crowded. They said the flight will take off soon and my hubby was already inside. Me and few more people started running towards the boarding point which was very far away and somehow we managed to go there.. It looked like a big playground with lots of aircrafts which were getting boarded at the same time. My flight was about to start in the runway and me and the other people started running towards it, I check the flight number and get inside with my boarding pass, passport and ticket. And immediately the flight starts and it takes off the ground. They ask the standing passengers to hold on the upper handle bar inside the plane and I was holding it.. once it was up, I search for my hubby and he was sitting near a window seeing me. He asks me to come and sit next to him. Tat place was empty. By the time when I go near him to sit, a girl comes and sit next to him. I stare at that girl and in a stern voice I tell her, “it was booked by husband for me and he is my husband. Better get off from that place before I could thrash you.” She got scared and got up. I went and sat next to him and hold his hand. He calms me down. But he was smiling all through this incident inside the flight like as if he was having fun. Im not sure what this dream meant. In reality, we are having some issues between us for past 2 weeks and I don’t know how to relate this with that. Please can you help me!!

I keep having dreams of being hidden on a flight but found out and kicked off. Or of an airport with so many escalators that I get lost. Or when im trying to figure a route it all crumbles apart. These dreams keep coming its always the airport or on flights or travel like on connecting busses. I would deeply appreciate Any help. These dreams are frustrating and intensely nerve racking.

I had a dream where my friend, Zak, was with me at my house. We went to the airport to pick up my boyfriend, Aaron. When Aaron saw me he came up to me and hugged me tightly. The airport was empty, by the way & then he held my hand. Until a random girl yelled “Oh my god! Aaron!” And she came up to him and hugged him and grabbed his hand. So I was just with Zak behind those 2 and we just stared at each other. What does this dream mean?? I’m so confused? By the way, Aaron and I are in a long-distance relationship.

I dreamt about my girl friend in an airport going to Japan. I kissed her on her lips. Turned back to go. Turned back again to see her. She has left already. Was trying to find her. The flight has left. What does this dream interpret?
