Pregnant in my Dream

A young woman send this dream, and there are so may like it.

I had a dream that I was 3 months pregnant. I don’t know who the father is but I have a feeling I know who. What does this mean? Will I get pregnant soon?

Many women get pregnant in dreams without any man involved. And in fact you are pregnant now – not in a physical way but within you – for you carry a new life, a new you that can be born if you treasure it. The new life is a part of you that wishes to become active in your life, a part of that that hasn’t had the opportunity to be expressed before.

Of course it is shown as a baby because anything new in us that is seeking life is vulnerable and needs to be cared for and nurtured.

Will you get pregnant soon? Well that depends on whether you want to or have the opportunity to. But the dream does suggest that you are ready for being a mother and that your dream is perhaps a practice run.

Example:I dreamt I was heavily pregnant and naked, lying on the floor of a dark room with one light directed on me. My ex-boyfriend was next to me, naked, stroking my hair, telling me everything was going to be alright. In the dream I felt physically sick but inwardly perfectly calm and at peace. But I am confused as I am only 15 and there’s no chance I’m pregnant.

Within the virtual reality of her dream, Sandra is experimenting with her ability to attract a man using her physical appeal. Having tried this out in her dream Sandra may or may not use this in her everyday life. The dream Joanne describes is common among young women. It involves either being pregnant, or actually giving birth. In both cases it is a way of gaining confidence and meeting anxieties about the possibility of pregnancy. It allows the dreamer to gain experience in an area that would be difficult, painful or dangerous to experiment with in waking life. In this and many other ways, your dreams allow you to explore without the risks you would meet in waking life. See: magical dream machine.

Ruby – It is a pity you only gave such a short description of your dream, for it is a wonderful example of how the inner Life Energy and Wisdom creates a dream. You say you were not together with the man. But of course you knew him and had met him. But when you think about a friend or a person you know, you are only taking in your thoughts, impressions and feelings about them. So many people do not realise that they have an inner person equally as powerful as the external person you know. You have taken in millions of bits of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences along with all the feelings or problems met by meeting or living with them, and they change you and make you the person you are. The memories and experience we gather unconsciously change us and are not lost. It is part of you and is symbolised in dreams as a person or event. Such an inner person can appear in dreams because you still carry the memories or impressions of them, and so they influenced what you hold within you.

So the memories or impressions you hold within you are a living influence, and although not an outer physical man it has been added to the creative sexual force within you, and added to your own feminine power has created or creating a baby within you. So if you dream of being pregnant or giving birth to a baby, the baby represents a new aspect of you trying to emerge and be cared for and developed. Just as when you emerged from childhood and became a teenager which was the ‘birth’ of a new aspect of you, so you are preparing to experience a new growth.

Each of us is immersed in a ‘river’ of constant change. If you think about it you have been carried, pushed, impelled by this current as you were moved through babyhood, childhood, teenage and adulthood. And as we passed through these changes we died to our old self in order to change to the new. It is the current of Life. This current then carries us on through old age and through the gates of death. All the time we are faced by decisions, and each decision directs us on a different path, helping to create our future. And this is a force of growth and change, the force of Life within you, which keeps on trying to open you to even more of your potential – thus your dream. Kimberly – When you dream you enter a different dimension of your mind that is no longer connected to your body senses. It is a dimension very different to waking awareness and so people often get terribly confused because they feel and think the dream must be the same as in their waking world. That is why you were confused about having a baby.

If it happens you are pregnant in your dream without any man being involved, then you have been made pregnant by the invisible power of Life itself within you. It is a creation of a part of you that is only now becoming real in your life. In other words a dream baby is a new birth of part of you that is emerging and needs to be cared for. Just as your teenage self emerged and needed understanding, so does this new you that is being born.

You developed this creativity in this way because you have a female body, which for millions of years was devoted to having children. If you deny that part of you – the urge to procreate – you deny yourself. You do not have to become childbearing to have that creativity. It is because being a woman you have the enormous power of creation.

The white cars are simply images used to say you had a delivery. The dog is an instinctive part of you that is worthwhile caring for. See http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/opening-to-life/

My dream last night was interesting about being pregnant. I was with my ex-husband and one of my 3 kids. I announced I took the pregnancy test and we were all excited. I was thrilled, but after a bit I realized something that was not quite right. I am 63 years old! I have already gone through menopause! How can this be? When I reminded everyone they had a mild concern, but not as much as me. I said I should probably go to the doctor, since this is too odd. They all agreed. I realized how disappointed I would be if I were not really pregnant. I will read your dreamhawk sections on interpreting dreams, but I thought this was a bit different. Thanks

    Tony

Suzanne – You are mixing up your feelings about your bodily life and the amazing freedom of your dream life. The dream life and life after death are basically the same – you can be a 100 and still give birth to the creation of a new aspect of yourself. The creation took place because of the action of your ex-husband and his influence in your life. The baby represents a new aspect of you trying to emerge and be cared for and developed.

Your physical age does not take away the years of experience and caring you have. Because you are a woman, you have a wonderful power of creation. But what I see is that those drives need not be expressed through producing a physical child, you can be creative in many different ways.

So don’t be disappointed but let your creativity rip, and care for the new you being formed. We are all born with an immense potential that often remains latent because of the condition of our body, our education, our prevalent social teachings. You ARE LIFE with an enormous potential, and if you start trying to live any of them Life will be with you every step of the way.

I had this dream last night that I was watching a television show about this detective who was looking for evidence. She had someone’s credit card & she kept running it thru a charge. She called her husband who picked up & the screen went to him. He was pregnant & he said his dementia was getting the best of him he had his hair up in a easy ponytail & he kept holding his head trying to remember things. His pregnant stomach was weird tho, the skin was kinda cracked & he kept asking his wife to come home.

    Tony

Laura – You were watching a bit of life drama, depicting your own inner world. According to your dream, you, the detective, have been trying to solve a situation you find yourself in, and like many of us, you tried to deal with it by spending money – shopping?

But the problem is to do with the dreamed of husband. Many people do not realise that they have an inner husband equally as powerful as an external husband. You have taken in millions of bit of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences, along with all the feelings or problems met by loving and living with your husband, and they are what makes you the person you are. This is true even if your husband was never there for you – you still have all the memories of him not being there for you filed under ‘husband’. The memories and experience we gather unconsciously change us and are not lost. It is part of you and is symbolised in dreams as a person or event. Such an inner husband can appear in dreams because you are deeply influenced by what you hold within you.

Dream husbands can become pregnant, and yours seems to be experiencing memory loss – so what are you overlooking about your inner male. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/archetype-of-the-animus-jungs-view-of-the-male-in-the-female/

Last night I had a dream that i was 7weeks pregnant and didn’t know who the father was I had a feeling I knew who it was and I also had a feeling that I was having a girl too

-Princess 2017-08-20 2:36:20

Hi, I had a dream that I just got pregnant(no baby bump yet) at first I was quite sure that it was my ex’s kid(though for a while i thought she would be gappy since my mother has been bugging me for a grandchild – I’m an only child – and she apparently still likes my ex for me) but then I got confused because it couldn’t be his(i haven’t seen him, i haven’t been sleeping around, and there’s no way I would want to be back with him). So, i literally don’t know who the father is. A friend of mine accompanied me to get this test that would determine who the father of my kid is(for some reason i knew it was a girl). It was a weird test because it required to inject something that came from me and inject it to every possible guy i know. Then minutes later my friend came back with someone who’s got a reaction. Someone i used to know back in highschool that is now a med student. We barely communicate but he seems to be father of my child in my dream(strangely enough he seems happy about it. Shocked at first but was grinning ear to ear about it). This made me think though if something happened between us that will result in me being pregnant.(end of dream)

    Tony

Princess – In dreams you do not need to have a guy to become pregnant. You can have a relationship with the forces of Life that created you and keeps you alive – it is called a ‘virgin birth’.

I know that is all Christian stuff, but virgin births were around for thousands of years before the Christians took hold if it. It is all symbolical stuff, and represents the human soul or psyche and its possibility of dropping pre-conceptions, thus attaining an inner virginity and thus being receptive to the unseen or unconscious side of self. See http://dreamhawk.com/news/how-i-became-a-virgin/

If you are a woman it is your nature and your potential to have a baby and give birth. You developed in this way because you are a creature of evolution. You have this urge – the urge to procreate – because you are a woman, it is about your wonderful power of creation. What I see is that those drives do not need to be expressed through producing a physical child. So I believe that such a dream baby is a very real part of you – though an inner and not an outer part. Women have often failed to understand the great power they have in their instinctive sexual drives. Those drives link them with their ability to create and be creative. The baby is the creation of a part of you that is only now becoming real in your life. In other words a dream baby is a new birth of part of you that is emerging and needs to be cared for. Just as your teenage self emerged and needed understanding, so does this new you that is being born.

I had a dream that I was pregnant with a man’s baby that is not my husband. This man is someone that I have worked with in the past. I was early in pregnancy & just found out I was pregnant. In the dream, I told my husband about the pregnancy (he didn’t know about the possibility of it not being his baby) & he was happy. My husband is not able to have kids anymore, so this dream is kind of wierd.

    Tony

Abbey – The man in the dream has little to do with an actual person, because when you think about a friend or a person you know, you are only taking in your thoughts, impressions and feelings about them. So many people do not realise that they have an inner person equally as powerful as the external person you know. You have taken in millions of bits of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences along with all the feelings or problems met by meeting or living with them, and they change you and make you the person you are. Such an inner person can appear in dreams because you still carry the memories or impressions of them, and so they influenced what you hold within you. So ask yourself what was it you felt or saw about the man – maybe he would make a good mate/father.

Also it has nothing to do with being pregant physically, but is about a dream pregnancy – completely different. So it has nothing to do with being physically pregnant, but because you are a woman, it is about your wonderful power of creation. Something that I have seen often before, is how, particularly women I suppose, have often failed to understand the great power they have in their instinctive sexual drives. Those drives link them with their ability to create and be creative. But what I see is that those drives need not be expressed through producing a child. This does not mean they need to be frustrated or repressed, but that they be accepted and directed into another direction. It means being fully aware of the sexual and creative dynamics of interrelations, in business, in work, in everyday dealings with people. It is about creating new opportunities, abilities, artistry and businesses.

So, the baby is a new aspect of your potential being born. Remember when you left childhood and became a teenager, you discovered many new aspects that were ‘born’ at that time. Your personal growth doesn’t stop. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/growth-of-something/

You may never think of him as an outward person, but Ex’s play an enormous part in many people’s dreams. The reason is that dreams about ex’s are very tricky for several reasons. To start with most people are often totally unaware of the experience they take in and how it interacts with them when we love or interact with someone. In other words because we memorise the feelings and responses we felt; and because our we learn through our experiences. we are changed by them. The memories and the learning are part of you and is symbolised in dreams as a person or event. You have taken in millions of bit of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences, along with all the feelings or problems met by loving and living with someone and they are what makes you the person you are. Your dreams tend to put all that in the image of the past person when you are dealing with the influences left in you from the relationship.

Many women dream of having a beautiful baby without any sign of a man in their life or in their body. It happens because of that wonderful power of your creation.
