Dream Interpretation / Odd situation dreamed twice

I don't even know what to call this in order to look it up in a dream dictionary. Twice I've dreamed that I had to walk barefoot through a place were there were all kinds of little things on the floor that were dangerous to walk on barefooted.  Last night it was construction stuff -- nails and screws and zip knives and screwdrivers.  A few months ago, it was technological stuff -- diodes and switches, and electronic cards, and sharp wires.

Any thoughts on what that could mean?
