Title: Looking within using "Yield"
Post by: annathedreamer on November 16, 2013, 11:50:50 AM
Tony  :)

Gems, each in It’s own way found me in your book “Yield”; I am gratefully copying some of them:

Have you emotions, longings, some part however secret, that can be wounded by lovelessness?
Is it lonely, or lost?

Have you feelings you can seldom show, or never act upon, played upon perhaps unwittingly by
a parting friend, a lost mother, a foolish line in a book, a dog now dead, some unsuspected incident?
If you have, this is your Anna – your feeling self.

Like a half-grown plant, there is still a lot more to emerge into realisation from within us.
Our own flowering grows us from unconsciousness to awareness of being an individual, and then on
to a linking of our own awareness with the consciousness of the Whole.
When through surrender the conscious, individual self opens up to the as-yet-unrealised forces of
growth within, the conscious self is gradually changed by the emerging forces and qualities.
First comes purgation, which is a cleansing of those parts of self which put us in conflict, or out of harmony with our own life force, our own inner potentialities.
Then illumination, which is a beginning of conscious communication between self and Life, ego and Spirit.
Through the process of these stages comes union, which is a marriage and conscious merging of our outer awareness with its eternal cause.

In terms of human experience, this means that in purgation we go through the uncomfortable process of having our fears, hates, neuroticism, rigidities and self-centredness brought to the surface and removed. Illumination is experienced as a growing awareness of who we are, what our real work in the world is, direct contact with a higher level of consciousness or God; and sometimes the emergence of such wider senses as clairvoyance, prophecy, healing.
Union is a merging of self with the Life in us, and is seen outwardly as fearlessness, a realisation of existing beyond the bounds of body, space or time, and a joy and satisfaction difficult to shake.

><

You do not have to rush out to heal or preach or sing or aught else, without that seal of approval, as many do. Neither are you wasting your time. For there is a season for all things, and though you dwelt in silence waiting for years, as many do, much is accomplished within during that time.

So many do not wait, but start to do what they hope is God’ bidding. If the task is before you and your help sought, that is different.
But many go out and seek people to heal, or teach, and often they fail and wonder why. But when God directs us, even though we be ill-equipped in ourselves, God does not mock us, the work we are given we can do.

><

Through that patient waiting on God; through the deliberate putting aside of actions and courses arising from our fears, hopes, ambitions or even our ideals, our devil, we found there arose in us the voice and impulse of Life, of God, of the eternal Wisdom. Choice is with us every moment of our existence.

Which last part reminded me of a dream I had September 11th.

I am in the garage of E’s parental home ( E. was my first girlfriend) and have looked if I have mail. There is no mail. I smash the little door of the mailbox.
Then a small black boy enters the garage and the moment I want to leave the garage through another door he kind of puts his foot in the door, telling me to come with him to have a look at something.
I am afraid and I pretend that there is someone in the backyard while calling her name "Marianne" so the boy will not know that I am alone.
Then I wake up.

Anna – Of course you are the human Anna as well the God at your centre. We are all the time dual beings, and it is okay to have human desires and a human will. But it is wise to stand aside from them at times too.

But your feelings about being unwilling to ‘look’ in your dream is a natural reaction as you approach a bigger realisation. For the ‘bigger’ is at the moment unknown so you are cautious, but trust your dream – the little black boy – and you will be okay. Accept it.

See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/what-we-need-to-remember-about-us-3/#Reaction - http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/questions-2/#Summing

Also, considering your comments on Yield, I wonder if it is worth reading http://dreamhawk.com/news/the-inner-path-of-christ/. It is a more basic explanation.

Tony  :)

Thank you for your understanding.
I am glad with your view that my unwillingness to look at "it" is a natural reaction and that it is okay to be
cautious.
I will trust my dream and "accept it", whatever "it" is and I will continue to wait with "looking" until I am ready for "it".

While you were adding your suggestion about reading "The Inner Path of Christ", I was ordering it from amazon.de
(I live in Austria), where it is available as well  ;)
