Title: Some concepts to discuss
Post by: Cam on February 03, 2014, 02:44:49 AM
Hi guys!

I thought It would be nice to discuss a few concepts I've been thinking about lately and get some other views. Here goes:

The 'Astral' plane that is often referred to in religious and new-age material is real. Although it exists not as people think. It exists in the world of the really really small, beyond what we can see with a microscope. You can traverse this plane in the form of some sort of subatomic particle?

Have you ever wondered why we love to sit and watch the camp fire? A 'camp-fire' is obviously a huge part of early human history. Is being drawn to the camp-fire something that is passed down through the 'behavioural pool' as Tony talks about in his book 'Eye of Dreams'?

The feeling of slowly overflowing joy that we get from being present, in the moment, fully conscious. Does anyone else find that this feeling is sweet? sweet as in like honey or sugar. The feeling of joy has a sweetness to it. What came first? The joy of sweet presence or the joy of sweet edible treats?

Let me know your thoughts

Cam  :)

As a dream symbol it makes sense to me; projecting the joy of sweet presence in my dream as sweet edible treats on the top of a tongue; I had a dream about that once.

While being awake I see it as level confusion, as in confusing the joy of sweet edible treats (the body level) with the joy of sweet presence (the mind).

Unfortunately there is no "first" in my mind  ;)

Cam - About your query "You can traverse this plane in the form of some sort of subatomic particle?"

I think there are other ways of seeing this that might be explained in http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/archetype-of-the-paradigm/

I love the article.

So, If all realities are dictated to us by our paradigms, Is there such thing as one true reality? The reality of 'whats actually going on'

explained with an example i use:
Guy jumps out of a building thinking he can fly.. that's his reality.. the actual reality is: .. somebody's gotta clean that up..

Exactly! The feeling of presence, that subtle pleasurable feeling you get while being it.. it has a sweet sort of taste or texture to it..

I played with your question, which could not be answered while being presence.

While accepting that it could be a relevant question for your path ( I did wonder if you were being presence while asking your question ), I consider it "not relevant musings" for mine, at least in "this now".  ;)

A paradigm is our 'view' of reality - someone who jumps to their death is like someone who thought, because of their paradigm, that heavy than air machines could never fly. People have fallen from airplanes and have survived. True you will say, "That was because!" But even so their fall was Reality.

Our thoughts about reality depend all the time on our viewpoint - to know the truth we would have to know everything about the universe, and also about the point from where space and time was created. The problem is the universe is always changing!

I have been discussing the idea of one true reality with my friend who is also experiencing this crazy realisation. I can see what you mean now. I have programmed my paradigm to be a particular way, I am starting to realise now how fluid everything is.

My friend explains it perfectly when he says: "It's like a huge space has been opened up in my mind, I am exploring all these new areas I never knew I had"

Is this a common experience? Coming to the realisation and finally getting some of these big questions answered is really quite daunting, just like that feeling of staring into the abyss. It's like 'wow.. this is actually happening'

It feels amazing, everything is so clear, simple, beautiful.

I used to get upset about this experience. I used to say "How rude the universe is.. I didn't ask for this, I'm here and I cant get out.. without pain and dying.. I am doomed to slowly die, existence is a punishment"

It really upset me.

Now I look at the situation completely different and think "Ohhhh now I get it.. This is AWESOME"

This is all very real, and it scares me a little! In a good way :)

Words are so difficult - you can only say one things at a time. But AWESOME is right.

See http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/inner-world/ it's another take on the same.

Thank you for giving me the possibility to talk to myself:

Hello Anna,

Something has happened since writing this. And now, I see exactly what you mean. You were right, it was just something I had to work out.

Thank you
