Hiya :)
I was in our home with my daughter(adult) and this is my reality as she lives with me. Things were happening which led me to believe someone was hiding in our home. So I looked and within a hall cupboard behind the back wall paneling I started ripping off (kinda in the wall itself)I found a man crouched and squashed into this small hiding place.
My feelings were that he should not be in our home and I wasn't sure of his intent.
Lots more to the dream but all different areas and I could do with some help to understand this part.
Many thanks

Dawn :)
I wonder if the man is a symbol for an autonomous complex.
please see

If we do not meet these characters and manage them in our life, they will certainly manage us, and lead us into relationship tangles, emotional responses and actions that are not what we ourselves choose to be or feel.
As I see it this quote comes very close to how you perceived his presence in your inner life:
My feelings were that he should not be in our home and I wasn't sure of his intent.
Now that he is no longer "undercover" - you did remove the back wall paneling and part of the wall - perhaps you can use "being the person" to uncover what his intent is?

Thankyou Anna :)
I followed the links and applied them and there is a situation in my life where I'm aware a part of me, how I feel and am definite about is not being shown after persuasive words from a person. I have shown my truth to them but it is not being accepted. I feel no different even so. I have kinda given up standing my ground and am not backing down from my decision but if I'm honest I am allowing their dominant character to think what they wish to believe for an easier life. I have spelt out my feelings very clearly, could not be more direct. It's just the character lives somewhat in their own reality and interpretations to suit.
The man was in the foetal position and seemed trapped, was non reactive and silent, wanted to stay hidden, it was like their is danger in him staying hidden yet no threat of infiltration if found.
I have been caught up in the wave of this persons non acceptance before and back in a position I did not want to be in, like a turn round and what, how am I here again situation.
I feel if I become complacent(keeping my definite ongoing decision silent) for a quiet un-troubled situation then it warns that I'll be back where I don't want to be, carried away by the wave again.
It is not certain that this is what it's about but I applied the methods and seems to be the most likely. I will heed the warning.
Many thanks for your reply Anna :)

Dawn - You are missing an important part of observation. All that you are describing are habits. The same situation occurs again and again because they are inbuilt habits. We are all creatures of habits, otherwise when we learn to walk we develop a habit it lasts a lifetime. But look at how many people walk with their feet an angle like a wide V. That is a bad habit that was learned early and still inflicts many people and can lead to flat feet.
Many of human beings 'personality' are made up of habits of reaction acquired in childhood from parents or from millions of year ago. For instance the fear of being a victim, the fear of attack and the instinctive drive to find a mate. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/the-conjuring-trick/ also http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/questions-2/#Summing
Also it might be worth while reading http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/martial-art-of-the-mind/ and seeing From Hell to Heaven - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pJwYcK08iQ

Hi Tony,
Thanks it's important I know what I'm missing here. Funnily enough I just purchased your book The Eye of Dreams and received it this morning! Look forward to reading it.
So the man behind the wall is more likely a trait of myself, I have faced my 'demons' and see and accept the darker side of me so I'm not scared of finding out what this part is. A hidden part I'm ignoring.
I hope that after reading your book I'll understand a lot more than I do as admittedly I'm a bit lost in the deeper understandings of these dream meanings, that's why I brought it, I want to understand more.
As soon as I get time I'll start reading. Thanks for the links.
