Title: Holes in walls and ceiling
Post by: Dan96 on December 30, 2017, 03:59:17 PM
Hello,
I had a pretty weird dream last night and I researched it this morning and a lot of it was reviled around someone was going to die soon or a man of the house was going to die and it freaked me out and I was just hoping for some clarification? I also have anxiety and have been experiencing some pretty weird dreams these past 2 months when it started to kick off again, I dreamt I was in my bedroom and I was sitting in a chair adjacent my bedroom door, but my bedroom wasn't exactly how it is the bed was in a different position, a drop of water came from the ceiling and I looked up and it started to create a small hole and got slightly bigger then it moved to the walls but looked like water damage, I called my dad and he thought I had done it and I said something like how can I do it when I don't know what's happening, then all of a sudden my bedroom ceiling had a big hole in it and a few smaller ones on the walls, my bedroom door was open and it looked like the landing ceiling had fallen completely through as I could see the loft which was much bigger than my actual loft and the roof had holes in it but through the holes I could see trees and the sun was shining, I can't back into my room and some old work friends where there drinking wine then all of a sudden the was in the big hole in my ceiling looking down on me drinking wine
Can you help me right out what this means?

Dan69 – I cannot see how your dream links with any suggestion you are going to die.

You start in the bedroom, and there is no mention of a partner sharing the room with you. Also you are sitting suggesting you are in a passive situation but not sleeping, so I wonder what you are waiting for. Are you hoping thins will change instead of actively doing something about them?

Then you notice the water coming though – holes in your roof – meaning your coping strategies are not what they should be. In a literal sense if you had holes in your roof you would straight away try to fix them- showing your passive attitude?

The reply to your father is very revealing, considering that all the people, animals, places you see in your dreams, are simply your own feelings, fears, hopes and wonder projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind as images. You said that you don’t know what is happening – showing you have not paid enough attention to keeping aware of yourself. Observing your own ebb and flow of thoughts and feelings, your own habits and responses to things, is one of the most powerful of tools to use in transforming your life. This also leads to a fuller connection with your intuitive connection with your core. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/self-observation/

But your dream changes because; having seen the holes in your roof you can see sunshine and trees. Then you are observing yourself, no longer passive. I am not sure, but I think that is saying that through seeing and exploring your anxieties, you can break through to finding sunshine and growth. But that is still just a suggestion for activity, for you are still just watching. You could try taking a yoga class, of joining a hiking group – just suggestions.
