Dream Interpretation / Black Dog Attacks
« on: April 13, 2015, 02:29:17 AM »
Hi, Tony, I had such a strange dream that I wanted to post it.  In my dream, I am an observer, with another person/being I don't see but he talks to me.  A large, healthy black dog sank its' teeth into a little girl.  I saw no blood or girl nor struggle.  Next, the scene changed to a table where I was looking down at a man laying supine, eyes open, having a type of fork inserted into his nostrils.  The instrument changed to a long metal rod and was inserted full up into his brain.  Both sides of the nose were done this way.  The man didn't struggle.  I couldn't see who was performing the "operation.  The being next to me said that the reason the dog killed is because the man on the table made him the last of his kind.  He had committed an atrocity this way.  The scene changed and the "doctor" beings were gone.  The man on the table, now dead, fell like refuse into a veil of nothingness in space.  His soul was not cared about.  I found this disturbing.
So, that's it.  Very unusual dream for me!

Dream Interpretation / Mother sells Daughter's tv as punishment
« on: July 21, 2014, 03:47:49 PM »
Late last night I thought I overheard my neighbor, a single mom, yelling and screaming at her teenage daughter, whose bedroom would be right behind the wall in the room I was sleeping in.  I then dreamt that the mom was so mad she took the daughter's tv from her room as punishment and then didn't know what to do with it.  I suggested she sell it.  We were inside a large van and there was a man I didn't know.  Night came and I was wandering through a complex of condos/apartments.  I felt uncertain about the people in the dream I did not know.  There was no resolution to the mother/daughter issue, and I never saw the daughter in the dream.
I find this dream interesting and challenging in that for some reason I am having difficulty interpreting it :o.

In addition to Tony's wonderful words, I was hoping to add for you this, if you would like:  Find things you like to do - anything that excites you to do - what you feel connected to, and learn to gently weave together your needs to provide for yourself (daily life, job, etc) and this which you find exciting; your heart and mind; soul and body; dreams and everyday thoughts; creativity and logic; passive and active; female and male; dark and light.  Your Joy will follow naturally as you find this daily rythym and it all begins to melt together.  Slowly as you find you are able, you can weave in (spend more time) doing that which you love.  My feeling is that you are desiring to integrate and a are perhaps a bit daunted by the task, perhaps.  It is natural to want to conquer the fears/anxieties with logical self-demands  - become an accountant, learn an art, immediately begin a yoga practice...this invalidates your creative side however....try alternate nostril breathing and/or any breathing practices that feel comfortable to start to gain some balance in your mind and overall.  Let your creativity be it's own guide insteading of placing goals on that part of yourself.   Namaste.
Best of luck.  I hope this helps.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Dream filled with unusual images
« on: September 25, 2013, 12:59:02 AM »
Good evening, I too found initiation as a theme in your dream.  Groups of swans, people, spots showing that you are part of Group and Group is part of you.  A unity theme, a rememberance of Yourself in Spirit or re-initiation into Wider Perspective.  You are leading and welcoming yourself with grace, acceptance and love.  A peaceful transition. Thank you for sharing your dream
Have a wonderful evening.

Dream Interpretation / Dream of Driving on Freeway - color
« on: September 24, 2013, 11:32:40 PM »
Hi everyone, I am new here.  I am very interested in our dreams.  I believe that our daily physical lives are filled with symbolism as are our dreams; that, in fact, our waking selves and dreaming selves are not that different or separate from one another.  Yet I am a beginner here.  Ok, for my dream last night.  I was driving a car on a freeway, with an unseen passenger (who is often with me in dreams).   I was driving very fast.  The freeway was two lanes each way, and was filled with s-curves.  I passed an accident with a death.  Speeding on, I became aware that I was moving too fast for conditions; that other cars were too and were having accidents.  Another curve, and I noticed a second accident, a bright yellow sportscar, another death.  They had scattered mulch all around the scene to clean up the messiness of blood I assumed.  I sped by, realizing I needed to slow down.  I had no destination, just intense focus on the highway and my driving.  I pulled out of the dream and awoke, it was morning.  I felt exhausted.
Recently I have had unusual and intense low back pain that led to urological diagnostics of an invasive nature.  I am thinking it all has to do with onset of menopause (I am 52) and kundalini (lifefire) wanting to rise.    I am am conflicted as it feels like a loss to my heart.   Being an originally unwanted and often invalidated child, nothing sings sweeter to me than the feeling of the gift of a child.  I have one who is now seven.  The dreams are coming stronger now than they have in a long time.
