Dream Interpretation / Sun in the rain
« on: January 08, 2019, 06:06:45 PM »
Hi Tony,

I hope life is treating you well. Seasons greetings.
Writing after a long time, as mostly I attempt to interpret a dream myself. However this dream left me disoriented for the day. So I need an expert opinion.

It's the old house where I grew up. One of it's room was semi constructed, space for two windows had been left but no windows had been installed. Brick walls would show because there was no plaster, and the roof was made of corrugated sheets. I am standing on the ledge of these windows, looking at the first floor neighbours window and there AC. Later, my brother is standing there with me but then he gets down and leaves saying something I don't remember. From the same window sill I see a light grey sky with a perfect round, sun. It's windy and it's drizzling, I can see the rain drops in the wind going in all directions but amid all that, the sun is very much there shiny, and round.

Later my mom is sitting in front of the other window in the same room. She is saying something, and as I look up, I see around five unattractive men, walking in a file on the neighbors roof and are looking at me. I tell Mom, who asks me to ignore them, but I go and stand by a wall, away from the gaze of men, and listen to my mother talk.

Its a bright sunny day, and a couple with their children are standing in a bazaar or a road. The husband is ugly. And they have two children a girl and a boy. Apparently I am middle aged and ugly, and I am giving advice to the woman in the couple about child rearing. She is young, fair, pretty, and pleasant with red lips. She tries to answer my objections but I don't let her, I keep talking. And I think, why am I giving her advice, when I don't have children of my own?!

Please help. Thank you.

Dream Interpretation / Jugs
« on: October 01, 2017, 06:28:13 PM »
Hi Tony,

Back on this forum after a long time. Hope all has been good at your end. :)

"I am lying sideways on a bed with white sheets. I am wearing a light blue printed shirt and white loose trousers. I am assuming that I am hiding myself with pillow on my face.  Right across from my bed is my boss sitting on a chair watching me.  He has a mustache, which he doesn't have in real life. I decide I might as well get up as the pillow doesn't hide all of me. There also seems to be a third person, somewhere on the side of the room, whose identity and presence are not well defined. As I sit on the bed, I see a slightly old, unclean, cloth lying on the ground.  On that cloth is one green, plastic jug/pitcher which belongs to me, and then there are several others, of different shapes and designs, all green.  All the other jugs have been brought at my boss's behest to match the one, that is mine, but they are all slightly different shades of green. There is no exact match.

None of the jugs have any water in them.  Its almost like they have been put there for exhibition."

Couldn't understand it, so writing to you.

Thank you

Dream Interpretation / Rejected and Emaciated
« on: January 03, 2016, 04:13:31 PM »
Dear Tony,

Your advice needed please!

"Zee is sitting on a circular, three-legged, white stool beside a single bed.  Sitting on the single bed are two young girls.  One is darker than the other.  I walk into this room and go plonk myself on the bed between the two girls. The dark girl on the right hand side, closer to Zee, is informing him about her plans of the future.  Which if I remember correctly have something to do with leaving her job and getting settled down with him.  He answers back, that these are not his plans or that he is gay.  Now even in this dream  I am thinking that this girl has assumed too much.

Anyway, at this point I cringe at witnessing this, and I want to get up and leave the room.  As I am about to get up, the dark girl starts crying, having her heart broken by Zee's response.  Surprisingly, as I get up instead of leaving the room, I head towards the girl and embrace her.  As I take her into my arms, I feel her crying is deep, and she is emaciated. I am almost holding a skeleton. Her clothes are loose on her, and her trousers almost slip down, which I pull up.  At the same time, Zee (who is sitting behind me) pulls down the corner of my shirt which has risen up on my butts.  I realize that I don’t want others to see her crying so I take her to another room, and I still hold her in my embrace.  The other fairer, healthier girl was left behind sitting on the singe bed."

Zee is a dear male friend. He is gay. But over the years his body language had been very confusing. I thought he had been interested and for sometime had been without a guy.  Then one day, I got to know that he got back together with a guy who had earlier betrayed him.  I confessed my feelings to him, and I was scolded in return.  I feel deep hurt sometimes, but most of the days, I have taken it well.  I vacillate between whether I should remain friends with him or break all ties!  Am I not accepting the fact that I am deeply hurt?

Your interpretation would help me back on the right track!

Best regards

Dream Interpretation / Dead Cockroaches
« on: November 07, 2015, 11:04:02 AM »
Dear Tony,

I live in an old apartment building with old drain pipes. So from time to time, I get surprise visits from medium sized red cockroaches, who crawl up the drain. Eeeeeky I know!  :-[

And the dream is:
" I walk into the lounge from a bedroom, and my sister screams, bringing my attention to a small round eyed insect, stuck rather comfortably between my fourth and pinky toe. As she yells, I flail my leg in the air and get rid of the insect.  And at that moment, I observe that there are many, many, dead cockroaches on their back, on the floor between my sister and me."

Awaiting your insight!

Dream Interpretation / Dead Mouse
« on: October 24, 2015, 07:45:28 PM »
Hi Tony,

Hope all is great at your end!

As part of a long winded dream, most of which I don't remember, is this absurd scene.  I open a door to a dark room, and am shocked to see a grey, dead mouse.  The dead mouse seems to be standing up, being eaten by a whole lot of worms.  This dead mouse in sitting on top of a thin, square foam which is covered by a dark cover.

Could this be a health related dream? I would be grateful for any clues that might help?

Best regards

Dream Interpretation / Boss, Field & Plastic Baskets
« on: September 27, 2015, 07:59:17 PM »
Hi Tony,

Hope all is great at your end.

In this dream, there is a motorcycle and a colleague mimics my boss and makes fun of him.  There were other details that I have forgotten.  Then I am in a semi-circular room with many windows.  This room reminds me of the style of bungalows that were made in 1960's and 1970's here.  The room seems like a library, or a room full of books at least. The boss, his older brother and a third man with white hair are behind and around a table, right in front of an open window.  I ask them about a disease I have, apparently they read about the disease or its cure in a newspaper.  They are not giving me a straight answer.  All answers seem to be in jest.  The guy with the white hair said, its in Boston Globe.  I turn around and respond equally in jest, that I do LOVE all of you.  And love is somehow in capital letters.  At this moment it crosses my mind, that I hope the man in the middle (my boss) doesn't take it literally.  As I turn around I pick up two plastic baskets: one square and broken from a side and another smaller, circular one, sitting in the square one (a circle within a square).  And I have my actual brown bag with black handles dangling from my right shoulder.

As I leave taking the baskets and the bags with me, the thought crossing one of the brothers is "thank goodness she is taking her baskets with her" and the other one (my boss) thinks,"she is taking her baskets as well!?"   With my things in my hand, I go down a spiral staircase.  The steps are made of pure grey cement, no marble or mosaics.

The weather outside is very sunny, clear blue skies. There is a feeling that the external staircase leads to a dirt lane in a grown green field probably wheat.  The feeling and the colours of this dream were refreshing.

Your thoughts please.

Best regards

Dream Interpretation / Thorn, Bougainvillea and a Soldier
« on: August 09, 2015, 10:35:18 AM »
Hi Tony,

Writing after ages.  Hope all's great with you.

This dream has considerably confused me. :-\

"I am walking up, a slightly inclined dirt road beside a mountain.  Its barren.  And its a pitch dark night.  At some distance my sister is following me.  After walking further up, I am faced with a thorn bush.  Actually it seems its a bougainvillea bush, with pink & white flowers, surrounded by many thorns in a circular fashion.  This thorn bush is obstructing my way. And I am not sure what to do. On my way to this point, I have seen  (Rangers)/Soldiers in a white van eating, drinking etc.  As I stand confused in front of the thorn bush, one of the soldiers comes over.  He is fit and well built.  For a split second, I fear that he is going to arrest me.  But silently, and with one single, strong jerk, he takes the thorn bush out of the ground, and throws it away.

After its removed, I see two pathways. There is a dirt road that goes up further in the mountain, and the other one that is focused are "cobbled/stone" steps going down."

Please help. Thank you.

Dream Interpretation / Double and Single beds
« on: October 14, 2014, 07:20:02 PM »
Hi Tony,

I know this is work related dream, and the last part is what intrigues me most.

Its a pitch black night.  I wonder if its 07:00 p.m. and time to leave? On an open rooftop I walk towards my boss.  He makes some facial expression and I realize that I need to go after an employee who has gone upstairs and is looking at different pipes on the wall.  After I go up the stairs and talk to the staff, I come down to the roof top again.  And I tell my boss that employees will make more work for themselves!! He nods, agrees and repeats the same statement.

He then leads me to two adjacent rooms on side of the rooftop.  Through the window in the room, I see two neatly made, white, double -beds, standing side-by-side.  And in a smaller connected room there is a single bed, again white and neatly made.  There is a water cooler standing on a side too.

Then there is a red Toyota car, that moves out of its parking position and leaves.  Apparently the girl driving the car is my ex-Thai friend.  I look through the window of the rooms again, and exclaim, that "she has also taken her single bed with her!!" So the smaller room is now empty and the focus is on the neatly made double beds.

For reference , my Thai friend used to sit very late in the office. She had very little personal life left.  In my new job, I have been keeping late hours too. My boss has a brother, who is "almost" another boss for me!  So I am wondering if these two double beds refer to both of them in anyway?

And why the night? Most of my dreams always show the dark sky/night?

Dream Interpretation / Chin, Boss and Plant
« on: July 14, 2014, 06:13:43 PM »
Hi Tony,

Sending this dream to you, as I can't make out if its a good or a bad omen.

Its an office set-up, and my boss (real life one), is indulgently holding my chin, and moving it from side to side and says something I can't remember.  He then moves somewhere, and I am thinking (as I have been thinking in real life, that i can't go to the office without a scarf, otherwise it seems my chest is for public viewing), other than that, I have to tolerate this too, around here.  My boss is then telling me something about a girl who works in ICSU.  As he is walking towards a partial open door, I ask him, what is ICSU, he turns around and pleasantly tells me that "you need to find it out yourself.".  I am then sitting in a cubicle, working on an excel sheet, trying to find out about ICSU!  And behind me is a half open, sliding window, through which I can seen a tree with lime green/fresh green leaves (its a common plant here, but I can't remember its name right now).

ICSU turned out to be International Council of Scientific Union, and I currently work in advertising!

Please make some sense of the dream to me.

Dream Interpretation / Baby Butts
« on: June 21, 2014, 07:43:13 PM »
Hi Tony,

In this dream, I don't know where I have gotten this baby.  But I am wiping its small, firm butts of this few months old baby (maybe a boy, not sure) while he is lying on its stomach.  I am then trying to straddle it on my hips, and somewhere, I am running around excited & happy, showing him off to people (maybe my sister). Then the focus is on the baby, who is chinky-eyed, sitting seriously some place, and then he starts to smile slowly.  He is naked, bald and happy!!

The background of the dream was blue.

Dream Interpretation / Red Convertible and House Cleaning
« on: June 07, 2014, 09:23:20 PM »
Hi Tony,

Sharing my dream on this forum after four years!!  Your dream interpretation for both symbols and otherwise is still on an intellectual level far beyond any,and has kept up with the changing times. Bless you!   :)

I have over the years, learnt to decipher my own dreams to an extent. But here, I am stumped by the symbol of the red convertible.  And the contrast of a white gate.  Your reflection on those symbols and overall thoughts on this dream would be appreciated.

"I have come from somewhere (not sure from where), and have brought along a cleaning lady/ maid with me. I am supposed to take the cleaning lady to a friend’s house to get it cleaned.  There a row of three houses on the street, and I leave the maid in the first house.  The middle house seems to have lights on and is bright. The third house is my old house, where we no longer live. As I walk just slightly further towards my old house, I see a red convertible, with its top down standing outside the gate.  There is no one in the car. I think within the dream that it could be my sister’s, like who knows ! But the next second, I see my sister (in the driver’s seat) and my mother, beside her, in a white convertible and they drive quickly away.

I call the maid in my friend’s house, who is apparently standing in the house garden, talking to two other servants, a man and a woman. I sound urgent/excited and she opens the white latticed gate to come out. I tell her, that my mom and sister have left so she has to clean that house.

It’s a pitch dark night.  And the cleaning lady is wearing a typical local dress, with the head covered with a dupatta (a long scarf).

Facts: My mom is schizophrenic/bi-polar, and all of us 5 siblings had a very tough time growing up. We had no dad and absolutely limited social contacts. It was an extremely oppressive environment.  Though my older sister outwardly abhor's mom's ideas, she is carrying a few of her principles.  Generally speaking, I don't believe in the belief system carried by both of them.  They have always been unnaturally isolating ones.  I have taken a few decisions lately, that have moved me away from that belief system.

In this context, is the red car pointing to a new job opportunity (there is one in the pipe line)? Or a possibility of a good or bad relationship, in the future?

Dream Interpretation / Glassless Windows
« on: November 30, 2010, 02:35:55 PM »
Hi Tony,

What does it mean to see curtains and/ or brown tinted windows with broken glass?  Or to see windows from outside which are curtained but have no glass in the windows. There is only the window frame.

Dream Interpretation / Walking on top of a moving train
« on: November 01, 2010, 03:47:51 PM »
Hi Tony,

I have been planning some investments, and I am wondering if this dream has something to do with it.

Can not remember all of it, but part of it was, me walking on the roof of a fast moving train.  I could see the attached coaches, and it seems I was walking (not completely standing up straight) from the top of one coach to another....

I am stumped!

Dream Interpretation / Squares and threes
« on: November 01, 2010, 03:41:16 PM »
Hi Tony,

I have had recurring dreams of perfect squares. Either a square in the form of a ditch with three men in it, or a perfect glass square in the middle of the ceiling with man crawling on it.  Or I am tilling earth in the shape of perfect square, as though I am about to plant seeds.  Or taking out perfect square chocolates out of a shopping bag or sweeping a floor with square tiles or putting perfect square tiles on a wall .......

Also three is a recurring symbol usually in the form of humans.  Three men, or sometimes one woman and two men.  Or mostly three men, usually one tall and two short men....  There are times when it feels the symbol could be negative, and sometimes no feelings at all.

Can you help guide me?

Best regards

Dream Interpretation / Open door, children, books & reading
« on: October 03, 2010, 12:15:46 PM »
Hi Tony,

I am so glad to be on this forum.  Your authored dream dictionary was the first ever book on dreams that I bought when I realized my dreams meant something.  Intellectually your book is miles ahead of a few others that I have managed to go through.  And I am excited to post my dream here for your interpretation.

"I am walking though a long passage and hear voices reading.  I stop by a door that opens three quarters inside a room.  I feel that there are some children sitting on the floor, and stories are being read to them.  As I stand by the door observing, a little boy said that he would like to go on a honey moon, and I reply amused, that whats the hurry, you can go on a honey moon when you grow-up.  Then like a full view, I see the face of the boy, who is very round and cute, probably 2-3 yrs old.  While I am thinking that he is cute, the view moves to show an even cuter 5-6 yr old girl.  And in my dream I am thinking that she is even cuter than the boy.  Both of them seem to be looking at me.  The scene changes, and it focuses on a hand holding a considerably big book.  The book is open and the hand is pointing to the open white page with the some picture/ photo and story. The story is written in my local language that is written from right to left."

In the dream I am wearing a pony-tail, in reality I have short hair.  And the tinge of the dream is yellowish black.

In reality a couple of days before this dream, I had an interview in an organization that works for helping children.  But I have since then received a regret from them.  So what does this dream mean, if it was not pointing to this opportunity? About myself, I am single working woman in my late thirties, working outside my country.

Thanks in advance for your help!
