Dream Interpretation / Shared Dream... Different nights.
« on: February 29, 2012, 03:42:35 AM »
A week or so ago, my friend (whom I consider to be my little sister) had a dream about a safe house. She didn't tell me about the dream in any way. For a couple weeks leading up to this, I had been having dreams of safe houses that weren't exactly safe. The strangest part is that we had remarkably paralleling dreams.

The night she dreamed of safe house, she remembers a maternal figure, but the figure was blurry and shadow-like. In my dream the following night,  she was in the dream as a child. *keep in mind that she and I had not spoken about our dreams at all until after I had my dream the following night* The dream was almost post-apocalyptic, the streets were grimy, the over-tone was dreary like a grayish-greenish color. We were all wearing raggedy clothing, longs sleeves, and it was bitterly cold. She and I were in a store with really high ceilings, almost ware-house like. There was wire (similar to that of chicken-wire) surrounding the cashiers that extended up to the ceiling, and there were large fluorescent lights flickering above.  We were in line to purchase food when suddenly men wearing various animal masked barged in and started shooting people. I covered my little sister and held her tightly as we crouched towards the floor. We crawled, undetected somehow, through the wide aisles and out the door. I remember grabbing her arm trying to hurry her to move quickly throughout the demolished city streets. I picked her up and she cried that she didn't want to go to the safe house. I remember as I walked up that there was a terrace with dead vines on it, and the safe house was red brick that had been chipping for quite some time and was now taken over by the same dead, yet slightly green vines. The windows were no longer clear, and had a bluish-whitish tint to them. I opened the door to the house saw a man sitting in a chair off to the left and immediately felt fear, knowing something was wrong and the house was no longer safe. I looked off to the right, noticed one of the windows covered in newspaper then woke up.

My sister and I were finishing each others sentences basically. She remembers the maternal female figure walking with her the entire time. The woman handed her money to buy something and it was some sort of market, possibly a store.. that part wasn't clear to her. She remembers the woman grabbing her and them running from a shadowy man with a bird's beak. She mentioned the terrace, the vines, the building, the non-transparent windows, the fearful feeling and even the newspaper on the window. She remembers something about the floor mat, which I didn't remember what it looked like at all, but she said it looked like old rags.

what does this mean?

Dream Interpretation / An old dream that I still remember perfectly.

Dear Tony, could you please help me decipher:

Four years ago I had a very vivid dream that still sticks with me. I was driving in the car I owned at the time on a long road at night surrounded by woods. Up ahead around a curve I saw a woman walking on the side of the road. She was facing the same direction in which I was driving. Her head was shaved, and she was completely nude. I see her fall over. I stop my car and rush out to help, screaming "are you okay?" I looked at the woman in her face and noticed her eyes suddenly turned pitch black, no white. I thought to myself that I had to get out of there. I continued driving until daylight.
I arrive at a theater. I walk inside, up to the line and realize that I didn't have my wallet on me. I ask my good friend/ the guy whom I was involved with romantically at the time if he could spot me until I found my wallet. He told me that he couldn't buy me a ticket because he didn't have enough money. There was a large sign indicating that the price of the tickets were 10 dollars. He pulled out a 20 dollar bill to the cashier and stuck the change in his pocket. The woman at the counter asked if I was buying a ticket. I told her that I had lost my wallet and couldn't so I was leaving. Then the woman said "wait, aren't you Mara's daughter?" I replied "yes" kind of confused as to how she knew that. She said "oh, yeah I know her.. walk in". I walk in and search for the one person who was my confidant to tell her what had happened earlier. She was a former teacher of mine and had been there for me through a lot of things. She was more or less a mother figure. Every time I saw her she was busy doing something so I left.
I make it home and the first thing I see is police tape every where. I'm utterly confused. A police officer approaches me, asks who I am, and then tells me that my mother had fallen off the balcony and they were investigating whether it was a suicide/homicide/ or accident. I'm in shock. They tell me to grab a few of my things and leave. I go into my room and see my cat. She nudges me and I cry myself to sleep with her by my side. I wake up forgetting everything that had happened and start to go into my mom's room asking for her "mom?". I saw the tape around her door. I break down. Everything hit me at exactly one time. I walk out the house and some time had obviously passed in the dream. I was now at gathering up stairs in what seemed to be another theatre, but more movie theater like. I'm staring off into space, zoning out. My grandparents are somewhere around. I hear a woman's voice. "Toni?" I tilt my head up just enough to hear her a little better. She said "I knew your mother; you killed her." I look up, my eyes didn't make it to her face; however, they rested on the little blond boy who's hand she was holding, and in his other hand was a bright red balloon. I run down stairs crying and then wake up.

Thank you so much,
pixie

Greetings / Hi I'm Toni :)

I've always been one to inquire about dreams. I usually dream of places (buildings particularly) then later on see them at unexpected times and places. I have very vivid dreams, but I rarely remember them nowadays. I'm excited to open up more into my subconscious. Thanks and greetings guys!

Dream Interpretation / Aware yet not in control
« on: July 22, 2011, 10:02:31 AM »
I woke up about an hour ago from an exhausting dream. It started off by me "waking up" and realizing that I couldn't move and every time I tried to utter out a word, the words just wouldn't form past my throat. After trying to move and scream for what seemed to be hours. I was almost to the point of tears. I tried calling out for my father thinking I was at his house. I heard my stepmother's voice coming from outside of my room. I eventually gave up on the effort. I looked around and then heard my roommates speaking from the living room. I thought "of course, I'm at home." I tried calling out for them. I managed to push through and jump up from the bed. All of my energy was gone at this point. I was stumbling, my legs seemed to not function properly. I open the door, and I immediately was back in bed. ( I did not walk back to bed. It was like a cut scene) At this point, all I wanted was a familiar face. I started crying out for my dad again. This time I could hear my own voice, but it was as though I knew it wasn't actually audible to anyone. I could hear it solely in my head. I see light come from my door. A midget probably no taller than 2.5 feet walks over to me. I tried to look away.I knew I was dreaming, but I couldn't change my surroundings, my movements, or wake up. He was so close to me. I remember every detail of his face. He began to vanish. I saw a child around the age of 10 run through my room by the foot of my bed with a red ribbon in his hand only to run into the hallway. Cut Scene. I was surrounded by a group of people. Each person was very unique. I didn't know any of them. There were chairs all around me. I was still in my bed. I looked around the room. One man was looking at me. I stared into his eyes. He spoke to me saying that I was in a coma. I had some sort of accident and was unconscious physically. I asked if I was going to live. A woman in the group said she wasn't sure. I thought to myself that this is what those people experience. It's as though their minds are still functioning. I wanted so desperately to wake up.  I tried to wake myself up by slapping myself. Hitting myself in the head. Nothing worked. The man spoke to me again saying that he would help guide me through this place and teach me how to avoid the dark that was there, even if he wanted me to do so myself. (alluding to the dark acts) He winked at me after he said this. I closed my eyes, and abruptly woke up. I could feel my body and knew I was finally awake.

I can't quite recall everything I saw. I know that for the most part these scenes were rotating. At one point I saw myself surrounded by the people, but no one said anything to me. I saw a lot of creepy things that I don't remember. I also tried opening the door at least one other time, only to wind up back in bed. I knew I was dreaming, but why couldn't I control ANY aspect of the dream?
