Dream Interpretation / Re: Car in Tree
« on: November 20, 2016, 03:01:15 PM »
I am glad that the relationship between inner and outer is becoming more clear and natural. Through your work and all that you share in the dream replies I have come to see and experience dreams as the incredible resources that they are. I laughed when I read your reply because I am very thankful for you bearing with me as well!  :) DT

Thanks for your reply Tony. The meaning became clearer after exploring it. It relates to the process of growth and certain attitudes tied to ancestral/family beliefs that have been restricting the process of change underway at the moment (the inner brother and brother-in-law symbolizing these family beliefs carried within).  It is these ancestral beliefs and attitudes that put my car in the tree – preventing movement forward in my waking life, even though so much growth has also taken place while things seemed 'stuck'. I will continue exploring....

This dream reminds me a lot of a dream I had a couple of years ago where I drove my car in the lane at my family's home and then turned around and drove away again. ~DT

Dream Interpretation / Car in Tree

Hi Tony,
I had this dream last night and I’ve started exploring it but I wanted to share and hear your insights.

I had just returned home and discovered my brother and brother-in-law together had taken my car and put it up in a tree. It’s not that they were angry or it was actually a negative thing, but I had no idea why they did it. While I was gone out they somehow sat it up in the tree and I was upset because I didn’t know how I would get it down. What I recall of the tree is that it was a healthy tree and well rooted. For some reason I sensed it was an apple tree, not because of visible fruit, but because the limbs branched out widely like apple trees. I don’t recall a lot of greenery, more bare branches like autumn. Also the wood was wet, like it had just rained, and I recall noticing how the car tires were carefully placed on the wet branches so that the car was fully supported and looked very sturdy up there. The dream ended with feelings of irritation and perhaps some anxiety because I couldn’t go anywhere with it sitting in the tree and had no idea how to get it down. ~ DT

Thank you Tony,
Your reply really helps...especially when some of the feelings and different perceptions are so difficult to understand or put into words. ~DT

Dream Interpretation / Baby dream

Hi Tony,

I had this dream last night and I would love to hear your insights. I have been exploring it and I do feel the sense of it on deeper level than I can put into words, but I feel like your insight on it would be really helpful.

I was visiting a friend (she was my best friend in elementary school but we are no longer close) and she was now married and had a baby girl (toddler). We were standing in the bedroom and when I first saw the baby she was in her playpen looking up at me and she had these absolutely incredible eyes – huge and round and this amazing vibrant blue color. I looked deeply into the baby’s eyes because they were so mesmerizing and there was a sort of pattern I noticed around the pupil centers that almost looked like soft grey-green rocks or pieces of earth but moving like alive. The eyes reminded me of the ocean or a globe for some reason, maybe because they were so round but the blue was beyond words in terms of how mesmerizing and full of life it was. Then my friend changed into another friend (again from elementary school) and the baby then looked like her cousin (whom I met very briefly and hardly knew).  I was then talking to her and noticed that the house was a bit messy. Her husband was a bit messy. He was not home but his clothes where left lying all over the place. He was in a wheelchair and I briefly wondered if his physical challenges were why he had difficulty keeping things tidy. I was then telling my friend about how a certain healing modality had completely healed my vision/eyesight (I used to need glasses but no longer do because of this). She was curious but didn’t seem convinced because she was so distracted by all her responsibilities as a young mother with a home to take care of. At the end of the dream I realized we had somehow left the baby alone and we found her crying and very upset. The baby was then being changed from a white hand-crocheted dress to a fresh one exactly the same (I do crochet as a hobby but not for a long time now). Also there was this long chain necklace that looked sort of like a rosary or mala of some sort that was also being changed. Again the two chains were exactly the same but the first had blue gemstones and the new one had purple gemstones instead. ~ DT

Tony, I'm happy to explain and share. I know it's not a moan...and I have wondered in the past how you have the patience and dedication to do what you do. It's truly amazing that you spend your time helping people by sharing all you have learned and experienced and helping people understand how dreams are such powerful resources. I am very grateful for all the time you spend answering dreams and I'm sure there are many others that feel the same as well. Your replies, insights and the work you share through your books and site are incredibly helpful in the way you bring so much information together and redirect people inward when it seems like the world today is so full of external confusion.

Quantum entanglement and connection is something that fascinates me more and more these days as it becomes clear how constant it truly is and how it can be both healing or harmful. I've had so many experiences with this that have been absolutely mind blowing as well as very simple things like how an old acquaintance randomly came to mind the other day while I was outside relaxing in the garden and then later on, when I came inside, I noticed he had 'liked' something on my facebook page at the same time he had suddenly come to mind in the garden. Many times I have also had random strangers in public places suddenly share answers to questions I have been wondering about or some sort of guidance that is deeply meaningful and personal. It's much the same how we can find guidance or understanding through reading the dreams that others share in this forum. ~DT

It was the folder Healing Dreams and it's the third post down in the list at the moment titled 'I could breath again and felt I was whole' (copied below). In my case it wasn't that it was the exact same circumstance but involved a similar sort of entanglement or attachment with numerous negative effects. At the time I was experiencing a lot of heart constriction and difficulty fully breathing (translating to difficulty engaging and fully taking in life). This has begun to really change more recently.

Another curious part of my situation and the post is that an intuitive a few years back told me about this attachment, describing it as a very deep cord that was rooted in a 'past' life experience where we were sisters and I left her for some reason and she died so I felt somehow responsible and guilty for her death. When I randomly felt drawn to that post, the synchronicity of it was pretty incredible and it really provided a lot of relief because I could better understand what seemed to be resolving, even though the process itself felt especially shitty and overwhelming at that time. This entanglement is still in process of fully ending but my heart and lungs are both changing in wonderful ways along with my attitudes and feeling connection with people, animals, and overall life in general. ~DT

    Insert Quote

This dream was told me by a woman after I had given a talk on dreams.

She said, "I was in what looked like huge white ribs. In the ribs was a big heart beating. Beyond that was my homeopath. I could hardly breath, struggling to live. I could hear the heart beating, but as I listened I could also hear another heart beating. It seemed to me it was my sister's heart connected to my own invisibly. The homeopath came forward and stretching open the ribs, reached into them, took hold of the invisible heart - it was like a shadow behind the other heart - and pulled it out. Immediately I could breath again and felt I was whole.

In everyday life I and my sister have been incredibly linked, even to the point of having cramps at night on the same nights, though living in different parts of the world. I had become ill recently out of this connection, but as soon as I had this dream I was well again, but my sister became ill. She has just been diagnosed as HIV positive and is dying."

Thanks 'A'

Yes, it's amazing how reading the dreams and posts of others helps with our own process and understanding. I was this forum a couple of weeks ago, even though I hadn't posted in quite a long time, and for some reason I ended up looking in one of the folders I don't normally explore. There was this one post that immediately caught my eye and when I read it over it was exactly the same thing I was experiencing at the time! :)

P.S. I'm glad your fading is quite slow Tony, even though I imagine the new beginning will be wonderful when the time comes.

Since reading your reply the word ‘icon’ keeps coming up again and again in my waking world and I find that exploring this way is becoming far easier the more I am able to relax inward. Sometimes I find the 'uncomfortable' emotions difficult to explore even though I know that it’s through the exploration that understanding and release comes. While I was growing up whenever I was experiencing difficult emotions I was told "we just don't let ourselves feel that way"...not surprisingly everyone in the household was either depressed or emotionally volatile. What's truly amazing is how such deeply ingrained patterns of behavior can be changed and entirely rewritten as new states of being open up and awareness comes.

My niece is associated with a previous state of being deeply hurt and then completely shutting down into a sort of numb depression and all the experiences, emotional baggage, beliefs and attitudes that led to the shutdown. As this has progressively changed her symbolic appearance and behavior in my dreams has likewise changed. Recently I was reviewing all of my dreams since I started exploring a few years back and it's incredible how they are like a symbolic record of all the inner changes leading to the outer changes. It's such a wonder how they reflect the deeper processes of change and healing happening or what's surfacing in many cases long before there's any conscious awareness. Thanks again for your insights and all that you share through your site Tony!  :) ~DT

Hi Tony, I hope you are well! :) My dreams have been very interesting lately but I'm glad to say that the exploration and insights are becoming much easier. I had this dream recently that I've been exploring and I have some awareness of its meaning and the feeling sense of it, but I'm curious to hear your insights on this one because I feel like it will be helpful.

I was at a store with my mother and my niece (a young woman) and I found these new Halloween and Christmas costumes both together. It included a long coat and suspenders and was very colorful and lively looking. I felt so excited as I was trying it on. Then my niece gave me these Christmas earrings that had two sides - black and white and they were sort of oval in shape but more like a square with rounded corners. On the black side was the palm of a hand that was gloved except for the thumb which was exposed. The white side had a snow like sparkle effect to it and there was a very beautiful crystal. ~DT

General Discussion / meditative impressions & dream symbols
« on: May 13, 2016, 03:56:29 PM »
A question I am wondering about is... how are symbols appearing as meditative impressions similar or different from dream symbols?

I had another meditative impression a couple days ago of a baby unicorn with pegasus wings. It was curled up in the fetal position yet fully developed, or close to it, as though it were about to be born. I looked at the dream symbolism for both unicorn and pegasus to gain some insight into the meaning and I have some understanding of the symbol's significance at a feeling and inner level as well. I'm going to continue exploring it but I'm also curious if the combination of the two coming together indicates anything specifically about the symbolism? Any ideas or insights to share?

Dream Interpretation / Re: woman falls out of the sky

I am finding that the boundless life is slowly creeping into my waking life. It's not as intense as the experience I had of being in the ocean and being the ocean, but I can feel it subtly at times and how it underlies everything both inside me and everything that seems outside. It's a huge shift in perception and I have already had the sense that the permeation of my waking experience you mentioned is the direction life is carrying me. I have been contemplating death more and more lately because I already notice how much of the 'me' I believed myself to be is gone or falling apart. Life is such a mysterious wonder. :) ~DT

Thank you Tony...your replies always bring deeper understanding and I much appreciate all of your sharing!

The first lucid dream in your reply immediately made me recall a few days ago when I received a random impression where I could ‘see’ an image of green leaves sprouting all over my legs. It’s not exactly seeing the image but like an inner sort of knowing of images that’s only really beginning to develop now. I keep having these impressions that I don’t always understand but I have a sense of how they go along with the inner changes going on just as described in the first lucid dream description.  Also, the understanding of how the dreams are projections of my own inner processes is becoming increasingly clear and easier to intuitively sense along with greater awareness of the beliefs/conditioned influences shaping my perception and projections in waking life.

The third dream reminds me of an experience I had about five years ago. At the time I was very depressed, experiencing incredible anxiety and also emotionally numb after a series of very difficult experiences that triggered a lot of repressed stuff. One evening I used a hypnosis video to relax my mind and then sort of found myself in a similar experience where the sense of self dissolved and it was like I was floating in this huge, seemingly infinite and boundless ocean of awareness and there was this sense of incredible peace  - no opposites. I could sense myself as both a little part of the vast ocean but also as simultaneously connected the whole and the whole. The ‘all is well’ feeling and a glow of incredible well-being stayed with me as I went upstairs to bed. At the time I had no context whatsoever for the experience and there was a lack of connection between it and my familiar reality of 'slaughtered wonder.' I have been getting more in touch with the wonder of life that shines through myself and everything as the rigid mental patterns open up and the inner processes work their magic. Finally being able to relax more easily is really helping but I still find I get spun up in old patterns quite often…it’s such a huge contradiction but integration is definitely in process.

Thanks for sharing the dreams and link...it's all very helpful! ~DT

Dream Interpretation / woman falls out of the sky
« on: April 15, 2016, 03:48:32 PM »
Hi Tony,

I hope you are well! I had a dream last night that I do have some understanding of given the changes going on inside lately and I have just started exploring it but I feel a strong sense to post it and get your insights on it, which are always helpful. :)

The perspective of the dream was that I could see what was going on from a higher view but I also felt myself connected with the woman dream character as direct experience in the dream, which reminds me of the shifts happening in my waking perception at the moment. The dream began and the woman was on another planet completely alone and the landscape was bare earth, rocky and mountainous. She had discovered a lot about the mysteries of the universe and it was as if some sort of initiation process was going on. There was this sense that something or some greater being or power was trying to kill her. She kept falling repeatedly for awhile. Falling from a cliff then tumbling down a mountain slope - somehow she always found something to grab onto to hold or hang from but then it would crumble in her hand and she would fall again. It was like some unknown force wanted her dead because of the wisdom she had or the experiences she carried that were not for humanity to know (this was an impression and it reminds me of a recent session I had where the practitioner said that I carry hidden or latent wisdom that's of great value but I have a perception of it being a burden). After falling and tumbling again and again she landed on this huge dark green rock of crystal and suddenly and very rapidly the whole rock with her on it fell right off the planet and back to earth. There was this sense that clearly chance had absolutely nothing to do with how the events had unfolded. She and the crystal landed at the front doorstep of this giant palace that was also a home where a Middle Eastern prince and his wife lived. There was a massive tapestry hanging on the front of the building with a picture of the happy, attractive couple on display. Inside they had heard the sound outside and felt the earth shake and went outside to see that the woman had fallen out of the sky onto their doorstep. Also the grass had suddenly grown up tall all over the lawn and especially around the rock where the woman lay.  ~DT
