Dream Interpretation / Re: Poop and Money
« on: January 06, 2018, 11:13:14 AM »
Hi Tony  :)

Happy New Year   :) and as promised a short update on my inner journey.  ;D

There are three dreams that I like mentioning:

In the first dream I am in a backyard (a patio) and I find a piece of fruit on the floor, which has fallen of the tree.
When I pick it up I can see that the fruit has the shape of a heart and that the outer skin has a color between yellow and green and I can easily remove it. (like the outer skin of a lychee)
I am so incredibly happy with this fruit - the flesh reminds me of that of a chestnut - even more so because small, light-green, ovale leaves are growing on the flesh and these leaves I can eat as well.  :)

In the second dream I discover that there is another, small seed inside a pistachio nut and I am very surprised to learn that it tastes very, very powerful like pistachio.

In the third dream I am standing in a concrete, empty kind of reservoir.
On the bottom of the reservoir on the left and the right site I see an opening through which I can see yellow intercity trains moving underneath.
I realise that I am dreaming and that the reservoir is actually a basement - it does look kind of empty and not cosy to me -  and that because I am aware I can change everything.
I wave with my hands (kind of like performing magic  ;)) and wish myself honey brown walls.
I have to repeat it once in order to be succesful and now I like the look of the walls.
I then create some lamps and some furniture until I am happy with it.

I woke up very happy thinking WOW that was a lucid dream in which I created something beautiful.  :)

Hi Tony  :)

I feel the most important message you just gave me is that I am still in touch with Life.  :D

As "being tensed up" is something I have been sensing in my body for some weeks now - although it appears on a more subtle level than muscular tension - I was not sure if I was doing "something wrong"; "something wrong" as in not being in touch with Life anymore.
I will now see being tensed up as the uncomfortable part of the process.

I also feel that withdrawing from commenting on peoples dreams taught me to not be eager anymore to uncover new extensions of any so called ability.
Having found an inner position in between not being eager, nor rejecting inner growth, feels like a very quiet, comfortable place to be in.

I will keep you posted "whenever".

Hi Tony  :)

As always thank you and I perceive it as interesting too, to look at my dream through your eyes; it added a new energy/understanding to it.

I reckon that I am on my way to "something new", although I did not ask for it, as I love my "Outsider life" as it is.

It started with a dream last month:

Quote
I am working in a hospital again as an x-ray technician.
We have new x-ray devices and it makes me uncertain, because I have never worked with them before.
I ask a colleague if she can tell me how these new machines work and she says she will.

I trust it is about a new way of looking at/through "things" and that somehow I will learn how to do/allow it.

Dream Interpretation / Poop and Money

Hi Tony  :)

I wonder if you could explain something that you have written so that I can understand
a somewhat abstract, direct experience on a more psychological level?

The Dream:
I am outside and I have to poop and so I squat down (trousers are then pulled down) and I poop on the autumnleaves that are everywhere on the floor.
(During the dream I become aware that I am working in a kindergarten and we are cleaning the outside area first)
One of my colleagues approaches and I do not like the idea of pooping in public and I squeeze my bottom and all the poop disappears in my body again and everything is clean again.
Absorbing the poop again gives me a wonderful feeling of energy flowing through my body.

I move with my hands through the autumnleaves and find a 10 Euro bill, I continue moving and find another 4 ten Euro bills and then I find big packs of 10, 20, 50, 100 etc  banknotes.
This too gives me a wonderful feeling.
I decide to hide the money and I put it in my trousers and the rest in a small, long, white garbage bag.
In it is also the drum of a washing machine, which has a sharp side and it has cut a hole in the white bag.
I manage to close the gap with my hands, so that I do not lose any of the money.

When I entered the dream again it was very easy to relive the flowing energy experience, however, since it is all still on an energy level, the experience is still abstract.
To "complete it", I would like to understand - if possible on a psychological level - what you wrote here;

http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/garbage-trash/

Quote
Garbage Trash

Parts of your experience and feelings you, or society, no longer feel is useful. Occasionally one discards, or considers as useless, some aspect of self, or ability, which is actually valuable. We must realise, however, that all thought and feeling are expressions of our inner energy. As such, while we discard an expression of the energy, we must not discard the energy lest it leave us empty and unsatisfied. This is why garbage, or compost, must be thought of as material capable of being used in a new form. What do you associate with the things thrown away?

Could you explain and give me a practical example of what you mean with "As such, while we discard an expression of the energy, we must not discard the energy lest it leave us empty and unsatisfied.?

Perhaps just a bit of confusion.
Both lawn mowing and teeth brushing seem to be about keeping up appearances to me, but there is some strange twist in both dreams that I am not grasping.

Hi Mikey  :)

Your first dream may reflect that what used to motivate you to care for your appearance does not work for you anymore ("the mower had stalled")
The thing with motivations is that they are often unconscious, whereas intention (cutting the lawn) is a deliberate decision.

For instance your unconscious motivation to care for let's say your social appearance - by cutting the lawn; by tidying up your inner world - could be your desire that people would then see you in a way you would like to be perceived by others.

However, the way people see/perceive you may have nothing to do with you, but with the way they have created their own inner world, which inner world they may unconsciously project onto you.

See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/projection/
Quote
Freud felt that in projection thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings that we tend to avoid taking responsibility for as one’s own we tend to see them – project them – onto other people. This is sometimes called transference. This is a defence we use to avoid seeing the negative side of ourselves. So instead of seeing that we ourselves are an awful spreader of critical talk, we accuse others of doing it.

If doing your inner work repeatedly does not give you the (inner) reward you desire for, you may lose your motivation.

Questioning your motivation(s) and finding one that works for you to do your inner work and/or to care for your appearances may get your engine started again.

Hi Mikey  :)

I do remember a film called Michael which included a ref to an angel smells like cookies, but i am not sure if this has any worth.

This information brought me to one of your earlier dreams in which a woman (your intuition/limbic system) and a cookie played a part:
http://dreamhawk.com/forums/index.php?topic=4364.msg10710#msg10710

Quote
I say to her ,
Lets put it this way,if i had to choose between in my left hand catherine,in my right hand a lovely cookie,i would choose you,but break the cookie in two sharing it with you,so giving a little piece of ourselves each to the other. I am then hit with a kind of fast forward vision,i see a battle coming and realise catherine has not long to live, and our meeting was to allow me the honour of sharing what time is left with her.

I wonder if the belief in choice - the EITHER/OR way - could be the cause of the "battle coming" and the belief that Catherine has to die? Why not see it as AND Catherine AND the cookie?

Interesting to read may be:

Smell in dreams

When evolution led mammals to adapt to a nocturnal existence, olfactory bulbs developed, and smell replaced sight as the dominant sense. These aroma circuits or odor pathways are believed to have become the neural outline of the limbic system within the mammalian area. This is the emotional center that generates the parental care of mammals: playfulness, vocal calling and emotion. Emotion and mood originally evolved from neural structures, once allocated only to the sense of smell that merely attracted or repelled. Over time, these two simple responses became the complicated emotions we experience today.

LIMBIC SYSTEM; Amygdala, Hypothalamus and Thalamus
Quote
(To my left i notice a group of people sat in three rows one behind the other a Little higher so as to be a tiered structure?)

The limbic system is a set of brain structures located on top of the brainstem and buried under the cortex. Limbic system structures are involved in many of our emotions and motivations, particularly those that are related to survival.
Such emotions include fear, anger, and emotions related to sexual behavior.
Quote
(I am standing in an empty fire station as the fire crews are out on a call?
[/b]

The limbic system is also involved in feelings of pleasure that are related to our survival, such as those experienced from eating and sex.
Quote
(Towards me comes a slim shorthaired female dressed in a sky blue dress,we embrace each other,i am then surrounded by a beautiful sweet smell or aroma radiating from the female?)
[/b]

Also; The limbic system… Some scientists call this part of the lower brain a “transmitter to God” because it is at the center of the intuition that we experience. In other words, if we were to believe in the existence of human spirit, this is the part that would most likely connect our mind to the spirit.

Dear Angie – Tony has answered your dream in the Forum; http://dreamhawk.com/forums/index.php?topic=4199.msg10165#msg10165.
“The spiders and worms suggest that many small irritations are constantly producing difficult feelings – the worms are something more insidious and show that something is using up your emotional and physical energy so you need to do something to change it.

Maybe it helps to realise you have an inner life which needs to be changed. But at first you need to understand what it is.”

In the video the judge perceives it this way: “In a sense, there is a form of neglect,” Gordon says in the video “Because parents who are fighting are not capable of emotionally caring for their children.”
I believe that every parent who is involved in a horrible custody battle with their ex, could benefit from listening to the perception of a judge who presides over custody trials.

Omega - The way you have chosen to perceive my comment has nothing to do with what I tried to communicate to you and I am aware and will accept that you cannot hear me.

Omega - What is very helpful to me as well is to look at "missing a whole range of emotions" from the perspective of Dan Siegel;

It is an eye opener!!

You wrote; "Since I began my healing journey all I have heard is that I need to 'let go' - let go, let go, let go."

Omega - I wonder if you can see that these people are merely reflecting your own repressor.

What I see is that these people helped you to become aware of your inner conflict between the part inside you that is the  repressor - "What I have discovered is, like you mention, I actually couldn't face the pain" - and the part that is the repressed - "What was really missing for me was a whole range of other emotions -
I'd been 'letting it go' my whole life."

With awareness growing I have often understood that what I had perceived as "people not having a clue about how to approach my inner world" were actually those who tried to help me see - although often unconsciously - what I was doing already to myself.

If we can agree that "blotting it out" has to do with not being aware, then we can  be trapped in the present too by approaching our inner and outer life without looking at what we are doing to ourselves Now.

For more than 2 years I have practiced becoming aware of how I relate to myself, my inner world and others in the "Now" and it has provided me with very valuable means to do what you perceive as helpful too;

proper processing.

To me "proper" also means that I can take back what I have projected because I can see it as part of my own approach as well; http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/projection/

Omega - This dream was part of my process towards daring to work with LifeStream.
In order to survive as a child I had chosen to repress my feelings and allowing any painful feelings scared the shit out of me.
This dream helped me to understand - if only in a rational way at first - that allowing the painful feelings does not mean that I will be in pain for the rest of my life.
It was as if my child self still lived in this "timeless state of mind" where it saw everything as "lasting forever"
and so this part of me was very resistant towards allowing her pain.

There were no emotions yet in the dream, because I was not ready yet to "feel"; I was merely preparing and so I did not self-heal in the dream yet either.
Mind you, I started working on my dreams with Tony in the Forum in April 2013 and so I was still at the very beginning of this part of my inner journey.

I see your dream story - I like the idea of a cartoon  :) - as exploring LifeStream; "cut down and floating like logs on a small stream".
While allowing the flow, you feel hurt and/or irritated and you are not sure yet how to let go of these feelings.

I see the Forum as "an art event" too where we can learn to use our creative abilities and imagination and I trust that you will find your way to let go of "these things stuck in my finger and probably hurting".

Because you also mention your perception of "a cartoon", perhaps drawing and/or painting will be helpful for you too?
For a few years I have used watercolour painting  as a means to explore my inner world, and I have perceived it as incredibly helpful to express myself while not having to use words.
To me it is a form of release too.

Dear Omega - I had a dream in June 2013 that helped/helps me understand what my fear was about.
Perhaps it helps you too?

There is a memory of what it is like to live close to what I feel inside. With every step I take I come closer to that memory.
I grab into something in which thorns are. I go through a door and look at my finger. I see what I reckon are small splinters in the index finger of my left hand.

When I sqeeuze around my finger with my right hand, two large thorns come out very easily, which I had not expected, as in neither that they were thorns, nor that they would come out so easily.
