Midlander, I didn't make it clear that the coughing episode was separate from the surfing sequence.  I like how you associated it with having communication difficulties.  Communication in general is something that frustrates me.  I find that I do my best communicating in writing, but extremely lack in conversation.

I often wonder whether 'separate episodes' within one dream sequence are separate or relate to each other. They often appear very separate but I have the feeling sometimes that I'm being shown a whole series of illustrations and that they all actually relate to one situation - even if I can't see how they link up.

Yes! That's what this experience is all about, isn't it?

Yes, my initial reaction to this dream is that something was 'sticking in your throat' and making it impossible for you to communicate with your brother. Once it was coughed up, the waters of emotions are smooth and something you can enjoy together, rather than be overwhelmed by.

Yes, I'd say that the part of the dream in the kitchen shouts about how you may not be nourishing yourself adequately or appropriately. In your dream state, you can see that you've got your life 'wrongly arranged' and it's going to 'cost' you.

With regard to the water and the phone - and the recurring of this part of the dream - it sounds as though your emotions might be getting in the way of you being able to communicate what you want/need to.

The pastor figure takes what is important to you but your manager takes ther role of 'teacher' it seems, and gives it back! I find that really interesting - the formal 'religious' approach to spirituality ignores your needs/hunger and deprives you but the feminine teacher/manager answers your needs.

The mushroom shape sounds phallic to me and I wonder whether your feminine side is saying something about bringing out your sexuality more..........as though you hide it/disguise it and it's linked to the deep emotions.

But I could be talking out of the wrong orifice!

Thanks so much Tony! That really helps! It makes absolute sense and the fact that you can understand what it's like is really reassuring.

When you travel beyond the frontier of your own personality and contact the life that gives you existence, a completely different viewpoint emerges. What you find is the mysterious love that leads a crocodile mother to carry her babies in her mouth unharmed. You discover the wonder that drives birds to fly hundreds or thousands of miles to an exact location to mate again with their dedicated partner. You meet the indescribable beauty that lies behind a flower’s miracle of colour and intricacy. You meet the creative impulse of the universe that has woven your being throughout eternity. You exist beyond Time and Space.

This certainly resonnates with my spirituality! I am weary of the arrogance that assumes human beings are the centre of the universe, rather than a part of the whole!

Yes! I sometimes really feel I am me and 'more than me' - that the 'greater' me is experiencing life in this dimension through this body which is me but not 'eternal me'. There was a time when I felt that I was 'hiding' in this world...

I find it really interesting that people often forget that eternity isn't simply in the future!

So it is probably that you felt was pulling the plug – as in Matrix
This helps because I was wondering whether it was the plug pulling of avatar which would have felt negative and dangerous.

I also feel that enormous changes are taking place in the world and so such sudden changes in what you experienced are a part of it
I am certainly encountering more and more people who are having experiences of one sort or another that makes me feel things are very much changing.

Dream Interpretation / Was it a dream? Weird experience!
« on: August 04, 2011, 11:19:00 AM »
Last night, in dream state (of some sort) I was watching a woman. It was a calm, peaceful observation. She was overweight and wearing a nurse's uniform, I think. She was working on a laptop; she couldn't see me. She was seated at a small table, the lights were dimmed, it was night time. As I watched, suddenly I felt all the power go out - not just in the dream room but completely. It was as though I was having an avatar, inception or matrix type of experience and someone had pulled the plug out. I had the sense of being in danger and needing to get out fast. I woke up.

I am left with the profundity of the experience. My first feeling on waking was that someone may have died but that was superceded with the sense of having a nemesis.  Now I'm not so sure about the meaning of this experience.

Any ideas, Tony?

Eta that I meditated to deal with the residual feelings and when I reached stillness, experienced the view of running through corridors and then up long, long flights of stairs until I reached an opening - like a cloud or flesh of some sort and exited. Then I found myself back in the realm of eyes looking at me as I frequently do in meditation.

Thanks!

Thanks Tony - that makes sense as I am going through a significant amount of change. In the dream I really thought I was going to die; I was fighting for my life.  In this job I am continually 'biting my tongue' and being careful what I say to whom, as I know I'll have to pick up any pieces from tantrums and fallouts! I'm tired of it!
I'm not convinced my concerns about this colleague stalking me have been taken really seriously, either.
In terms of physical stuff, I'm asthmatic and the whole respiratory area is an ongoing issue but not throat specifically.......
I'll have a look at the link, thanks!

Ah more like it:
I was in a lift/elevator on my way to see The Most Important Person. I didn't look like me but I knew it was me. (I was observing this dream, within the dream).

An invisible entity that seemed to be part of the lift, got me 'sorted out' as the lift went up. Cleaned up my dissheveled appearance and got me in the right condition/state to be ready for the meeting.

 8) What a dream, eh?!

Dream Interpretation / Murder

Hi Tony!
After a period of fruitful and positive dreams, last night brought a disturbing one! I was being attacked by a man who was set on killing me. He had a knife and cut along my jawline and then stabbed me in the neck. I woke at that point.
(I'm not sure whether I associated the man in the dream with someone who has been giving unwanted attention - a bit of cyberstalking - of late or that's something I associated it with afterwards).

It felt 'out of the blue' but is unlikely to be so, I know!

Thanks!

That is very exciting, Tony! I have been inspired by String theory (my limited non scientific way of understanding it) because I think it brings to science that sense of other dimensions. I am sometimes very aware that I am living in this body and also am part of what I call 'the spiritual dimension' or 'heaven' as it has been known for millenia. I went from wanting to be individual after death, to being happy to be absorbed and now to a midway point of sensing that in this realm of spirit we are both one with 'the source' and distinct. I am a Celt by heritage and spirituality and that sense that there is a thin veil also ties in with String Theory. 2012 is believed to be a significant date, I have heard..........what lies ahead is also present in this moment. Perhaps I should talk to the people who are looking into this realm...........

Thank you!!

Thanks Tony - I shall let that percolate! It fits with the mediation images of riding a wild white horse that I've had. Any idea why I see eyes when I meditate? Just in case you've come across that....
Many thanks and hope you were not feeling flat for long!

 8) I freed a wild, white bear from a trap in my dream last night! (One of those horrible things that clamps around the foot - I opened it and he got his foot free and went on his way).

Nice one!

Ha ha! If I take your dictionary literally, I've been cutting off my intuition and therefore messing up my ability to see. Very neat!

Too much doing and not enough meditation/being going on - attending to more neglected areas of life. About right - have just spent the last couple of days focussing on redressing the balance.
