Dream Interpretation / Recent Nightmares
« on: September 12, 2012, 07:52:50 PM »
So recently I've been having more nightmares.  Last night was very odd.  I've heard that sugar intake before bed causes nightmares.  I did have three doughnuts late last night.  So, this dream is like a mental paralysis.  It was as though my brain was malfunctioning.  I couldn't make sense of anything, just total confusion.  I was struggling to make sense of basic letters, words.  It was as though I couldn't complete a thought.  I believe I remember letters and numbers floating around in the air, lights were flashing and I was slowly spinning.  At the end I'm looking down a hallway and this evil woman pokes her head out of a door.  The lights are flashing more violently at this point and she's gazing at me.  I just have this sense that she's pure evil.  It's been so long since I've felt so terrified in a dream.  It was like she was there to suck my soul out of me. I also remember now that before this I was dreaming about being in an airport and dealing with Muslims.  It was strange because they were like the TSA and I was just trying to get through security.

I think that, perhaps, nightmares are formed by our subconscious to make us more aware, to challenge us.  It's like with a lightbulb.  The greater the resistance the more brilliant the light.

Edit: Also, I almost forgot.  As I was coming out of the dream and into the waking life I was saying something to the effect,"I don't want to be here" out loud.  So, when I woke up I heard myself saying ...ant to be here.

Dream Interpretation / First Dream Within A Dream: Bizarre
« on: August 30, 2012, 02:24:47 AM »
The dream begins with me and another man rowing a boat.  The other guy is doing most of the work and we are in a line of boats.  We're hauling oil.  The guy in my boat loses the oar in the ocean.  The next thing I know, I'm marching in a military formation.  Suddenly, I rise up out of the formation into the air and look down at the soldiers and smile and wave.  After this is when I wake up.  I wake up screaming a woman's name. I've woken up to a new reality.  In it I have fallen in love with another man's lover and she loves me back.  Next, I'm talking to the woman's lover, an older man.  He is understanding.  He does not wish to get in the way of love.  That's when the dream ends.

Dream Interpretation / After This Dream I Suddenly Crave Big Women
« on: August 27, 2012, 12:41:15 AM »
So, I had a dream the other night I was making love to a bigger woman and it's carried over to the waking life.  My preference for sticks has been replaced!

Dream Interpretation / A couple dreams I had
« on: August 24, 2012, 09:09:25 PM »
1st:  I'm with my ex and she is very angry with me, much like in the end of our relationship.  Then, unexpectedly, she comes near, looks into my eyes, and begins kissing me in a playful way, one peck after another.

2nd: In the next dream it's at night and I'm living in an unfamiliar time and place.  It feels like it's 20-30 years in the past.  I get a phone call from Hosni Mubarak of all people.  I'm not egyptian or muslim.  I'm of European decent, a country boy from Tennessee, but I do follow world politics a bit.  O, and Hosni was really nice over the phone.  Also, my dad hung up on him the first time and I was outraged!  Thinking,"dad! you hung up on the president of Egypt!" Next thing is my older brother (who I've always looked up to) tells me he's leaving for Detroit.  I tell him I would go but I have one more semester of school left before I graduate and that I can't dropout and go with him, as much as I'd like to.  It's strange because I already finished college, last year.

Dream Interpretation / Dream of Ex Reinforces a Recent Revelation
« on: July 24, 2012, 08:59:32 AM »
She and I are together in the basement of my parents' house.  We have our arms wrapped around one another.  Next, we are on the couch caressing one another.  I hear people coming down the stairs and realize that she's not wearing any pants.  I try frantically to hide the fact, though, she doesn't seem to be worried about it.  Next, my ex and I are sitting at the dinner table with people whom I imagine as my family.  (She has her pants back on at this point)

The dream was odd to me because in our relationship she was the one typically more concerned with modesty.  In this dream the roles are reversed.  I am worried for her reputation, where in the past/in the actual relationship I managed to overlook how her reputation could be negatively impacted, better yet, how both our reputations could be impacted.  Now, I see how this was a form of tremendous neglect.  I neglected "our" reputation.  I possessed such little integrity.  This dream reflects a recent shift in my awareness.  I now realize, more than ever, the importance of integrity.  Had I practiced integrity in that relationship I'd be in a much happier place right now.  Now, integrity is my goal everyday.

Dream Interpretation / Elderly Man Injured at Church
« on: June 19, 2012, 08:09:33 AM »
So, I'm entering the church I grew up in with my mother and let me say first of all, we are late.  This was a typical occurrence growing up as there were 9 children in our family.  I'm sure it was quite the chore for our mother to have us all fed and dressed before church early in the morning.  Anyways, back to the dream.  After we enter I decide I'll go into the bathroom and have a look in the mirror.  Haha, this is something that people are so shy about, including me.  We don't want anyone to catch us in our vanity.  Ok, I keep getting off track.  SO! as soon as I enter the bathroom an old man collapses on to the floor and weakly he says,"someone help me" and there I go to the rescue.  I pick the man up and carry him out of the bathroom and into a more spacious place.  He is mangled up a bit.  Limbs are twisted and broken.  So, immediately, I begin to set them back in to place.  I believe what struck me as odd about this dream is the fact that I took charge of the situation.  I was with the man caring for him the whole time, not even considering letting someone else take over.  I had made up my mind that I was going to do everything I could to help this man and I had the confidence of an experienced physician in doing so.

Dream Interpretation / Out of Control
« on: June 05, 2012, 06:49:55 AM »
So, I had a dream last night I was in like a charter bus riding down a busy street.  I believe my sister was driving and my twin brother and little brother and maybe someone else were passengers.  Anyways, something began to go amiss.  I took the wheel from my sister and it only got worse from there.  I remember being very disoriented.  When I woke up I thought why would I have taken the wheel in such a state.  I mean I wanted to steer us out of trouble but I didn't know which way us up.  Total panic overcame everyone and it seemed everyone began to reluctantly accept their impending doom and there was no blaming.  The fear was real and it seemed that just before collision I woke up.

I wondered to myself if this was a dream about my fear of taking a leadership role or the reluctance to take ownership of my life.

Dream Interpretation / First Dream of Ex In Some Time
« on: May 26, 2012, 07:31:39 PM »
Yeah, so this is the first dream I've had of my ex in a while.  We're in the middle school I went too and there's a buffet in the middle of the cafeteria.  I am careful to approach her.  I give her a little push from behind.  She's a little startled.  When she recognizes who it is she just smiles and acts shy.  It seems she is happy to see me.  I try to remain calm in hopes that the tension will build.  I remember that everyone has white shirts on including me.  Everyone is dressed nicely.  It reminds me of the uniforms she wore to her school in La Havana.

Dream Interpretation / Vague Dream: Horses, Trees and Rivers
« on: May 24, 2012, 07:29:08 AM »
I had a rather vague series of dreams this morning.  I don't believe they are connected.  First, I remember riding a horse in a circle.  The horse was moving extremely fast and personally, I've never been a big fan of horses.  I don't find them safe.  They have a mind of their own; are unpredictable.  This was evident in the dream as well.  I was at odds with the horse the entire time and eventually the horse and I separate and I don't know where the horse is.  This seems to correlate to my previous relationship.  I'm the rider and my ex is the horse.   Anyways, I struggled to direct the horse but the horse just wasn't having it.  So the next thing I know I'm standing on the ground wondering where in the hell the horse might have run off to.

Next, there's is a huge machine used to cut down trees and it's coming across the river approaching a patch land.  I fear for the trees.  I think how awful it is that this machine will be cutting down trees.  Then the scenery changes a bit.  The river is gone and it seems we are in someone's yard.  They have a row of trees along a fence or a road and I really don't think they should be cut down.  Anyways, one of my brothers is there.  He gives the go ahead and all these trees begin to be cut down.  I worry for the trees and worry about the opinion of the property owner because it doesn't seem that they authorized this.

Now let's talk about rivers.  The river wasn't around very long in my dream.  It was in the scenery before we got to the yard.  The river reminded me of videos I've seen of the amazon.  Other than the river there were just trees and trees.  What was significant about this in my mind is that when I woke up I immediately remembered many of my past dreams that had rivers or water in them.  I was astounded that these images had left such an imprint on my mind.  I mean, I may as well have actually been to these places the way I was able to recall them.  In fact, I was able to recall these dreams better than most of the memories from my waking life.  And still, they are fresh in my mind.

Dream Interpretation / Enter the Dragon
« on: May 18, 2012, 05:50:41 AM »
Ok, so I had a series of dreams last night.  I remember waking up and telling myself,"Ok, you have to remember this, this, and this."  It's too bad I didn't stay up and write it down.  All I remember is that I was a little frightened but I wasn't sure what it was I should be frightened about and then someone told me to trust the dragon.  So I took off running from the safety of a barn, into an open field, and into the grasp of a dragon.  I remember jumping in the air so that the dragon could grasp me with its talons and I felt completely confident in doing this.  It was almost as the dragon was there to save me.

Dragon description:  I remember the dragon being dark in color.  Somewhere from black to a charcoal gray.  It also had very hard and bumpy skin and was thick bodied with huge huge talons.

Dream Interpretation / Co-worker Dreams of My Death
« on: May 10, 2012, 07:31:13 PM »
This came as a big surprise.  A co-worker told me about a dream she had of me.  She said that she was driving down the road and it came over the radio,"Bobby Simpson died today in a car accident."  She said it was like if a president had died and that they were holding a funeral at the university we attended with thousands of people in attendance.  Also, she mentioned that my casket was wrapped in a flag.  She's in the Army National Guard and I've enlisted in the Air Force.  Maybe that has something to do with it.

General Discussion / Human Design
« on: May 08, 2012, 06:22:29 PM »
Christine! Thank you so much for the link on human design.  I haven't been able to stop researching it since!  So, I've discovered that I'm a 2/4 Manifestor.  It's opened up a whole new way of thinking for me.  My strategy is to inform.  I see already how this will be effective in my life.  I tend to keep my plans to myself.  I'm trying to get more information on my chart right now.  I have a defined ego, throat, spleen, and root.  Everything else is undefined. Anyways, what have you learned from your rave chart?  Which type are you?

Dream Interpretation / Eyelashes
« on: May 05, 2012, 03:36:28 PM »
I dreamed this morning of looking in the mirror and trying to fan my eyelashes out.  Of course, I wasn't using mascara because that might give people the wrong indication.  I just found it a bit strange.  I interpret it as a dream about vanity.

General Discussion / The Age of Aquarius
« on: May 04, 2012, 06:50:04 AM »
Recently I've been trying to learn which system of astrology is most reliable: Tropical(Western) or Vedic(Eastern)
The difference is that the tropical astrology actually has little to do with the position of the planets.  Instead, it is based on the seasons.  The beginning of the tropical zodiac is marked by the vernal equinox (the first day of spring) and assigned the constellation Aries.  In reality, and in Vedic astrology, the sun is in the constellation Pisces at the start of the vernal equinox and will be there probably for a couple hundred years more.  It is for this reason that we are said to be in the "Age of Pisces" and is also the reason are zodiac signs are said to have moved back one constellation.  For example, I'm actually a Taurus, instead of a Gemini according to this.  Ok, so back to the ages.  Each age last about 2160 years.  The Age of Pisces is considered by some as the Age of Christianity, inasmuch as the 2160 years allotted coincides reasonably with Christianity's tenure on Earth. The coming age will be the Age of Aquarius.  Wonder what awaits us in this new age?

General Discussion / Astrology, Birth Charts and Moon Signs
« on: April 30, 2012, 06:42:01 AM »
For the past several months I've found myself looking to Astrology as a source of enlightenment and inspiration.  I don't think I've quite gotten the big picture yet.  Either way, it's interesting to look at one's birth chart.  What fascinates me is the complexity of it.  You have the houses, the signs, and the planets and their relationships with one another to account for when examining a birth chart.  One thing that is particularly interesting to me is the relationship that is said to exist between our sun sign and moon sign.  It is said that the sun has to do with our conscious selves while the moon has to do with our subconscious.  It should be obvious why I would mention that on this forum.  I am curious to find out what other members moon signs are.  My moon sign is Scorpio.  Also, an element (earth, wind, fire, water) corresponds to each sign.  Scorpio is a water sign and the water signs (Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio) are thought to deal more with the subconscious than the other elements/signs.  I'm just curious to see if there is a pattern among members here for having this sort of astrological arrangement?
