Dream Interpretation / A Red-Headed Stranger Brings Words of Encouragement
« on: November 03, 2012, 04:55:53 PM »
I'm staying at a house in Florida with a group of people.  The only faces I recall are this stranger and two of my X's.  The dream starts out with me on a couch and this stranger, this man sitting across from me on another couch.  He's a tall, thin, well-dressed, middle-aged man wearing glasses.  We've established that I work in a restaurant. He asks me what I do there.  Ashamedly, I tell everyone how I clean tables.  I bow my head and begin to sob.  I soon find out that this man is a lawyer.  Anyways, he takes me by the hand and takes me upstairs where he can talk to me in private.  He tells me to keep my head up and that I have so much going for me.  He also said he talked to my ex (the Cuban who lives in Miami) and she told him how I had such an open mind, especially for the region I came from.  The last part I remember is rather pitiful.  I'm laying flat on the ground and another X who also crushed my soul was there and I was just trying to catch a glimpse of her without her seeing me.  I wish I would've stood up walked over and talked with her instead of acting so childishly.

In one of the other dreams I had last night I was much more in command.  This guy tried intimidating me.  I chased him down and found a beautiful woman.  I got them both to strip naked, as if they were going to be having sex with one another.  Instead, I take the woman while he must sit there and watch.

After reading about Dreamer's dream of Lord Shiva I believe this woman may have been Kali.  I regretted after waking up that I didn't embrace what was happening.  I was just too terrified.  Like Kali, she was a dark figure, her hair was black, long and untamed with glowing eyes.

As far as I know, she's never been pregnant in the waking life.  Recently, thoughts of offspring have been frequenting my mind.  It's been about a year now since we've broke up.  We've had virtually no contact since then.  Thankfully, dreams of her don't affect me like they did in the past.  It used to ruin my day, but now I think nothing of it.  It's just a dream and the less time I spend thinking of her the better.

So, it's been a few days since I had this dream so the details are a little vague now.  I just remember seeing my ex fairly far into her pregnancy.  And next thing I know I'm on some rocks in the middle of a river with a couple of other guys and we're trying to figure out how to get off the river and get home.

Hello Mayaman!  I find your dream very intriguing especially since I'm scheduled to ship out to the Air Force this December.

It seems the focus of the dream is your living space.  What is your living arrangement like now?  Are you happy with it?

I think it's amusing that you leave the "3 younger airmen" for being selfish, smelly and untidy, for a place that's in disrepair with a small, smelly bed.  Of course, the real difference isn't the place.  It's the people.

Hey, by the way, I'd really appreciate it if you'd share about your experience in the Air Force.

Dream Interpretation / Recent Nightmares
« on: September 12, 2012, 07:52:50 PM »
So recently I've been having more nightmares.  Last night was very odd.  I've heard that sugar intake before bed causes nightmares.  I did have three doughnuts late last night.  So, this dream is like a mental paralysis.  It was as though my brain was malfunctioning.  I couldn't make sense of anything, just total confusion.  I was struggling to make sense of basic letters, words.  It was as though I couldn't complete a thought.  I believe I remember letters and numbers floating around in the air, lights were flashing and I was slowly spinning.  At the end I'm looking down a hallway and this evil woman pokes her head out of a door.  The lights are flashing more violently at this point and she's gazing at me.  I just have this sense that she's pure evil.  It's been so long since I've felt so terrified in a dream.  It was like she was there to suck my soul out of me. I also remember now that before this I was dreaming about being in an airport and dealing with Muslims.  It was strange because they were like the TSA and I was just trying to get through security.

I think that, perhaps, nightmares are formed by our subconscious to make us more aware, to challenge us.  It's like with a lightbulb.  The greater the resistance the more brilliant the light.

Edit: Also, I almost forgot.  As I was coming out of the dream and into the waking life I was saying something to the effect,"I don't want to be here" out loud.  So, when I woke up I heard myself saying ...ant to be here.

Dream Interpretation / Re: After This Dream I Suddenly Crave Big Women
« on: August 30, 2012, 02:30:25 AM »
I'll definitely take your advice!  I suppose my perspective on women has changed over the past year.  Perhaps the more 'developed woman' is representative of a more mature woman and perhaps the message is that I need to seek out more mature women than I am accustomed to.  That would also seem to indicate that I need to become a bit more mature as well.

Dream Interpretation / First Dream Within A Dream: Bizarre
« on: August 30, 2012, 02:24:47 AM »
The dream begins with me and another man rowing a boat.  The other guy is doing most of the work and we are in a line of boats.  We're hauling oil.  The guy in my boat loses the oar in the ocean.  The next thing I know, I'm marching in a military formation.  Suddenly, I rise up out of the formation into the air and look down at the soldiers and smile and wave.  After this is when I wake up.  I wake up screaming a woman's name. I've woken up to a new reality.  In it I have fallen in love with another man's lover and she loves me back.  Next, I'm talking to the woman's lover, an older man.  He is understanding.  He does not wish to get in the way of love.  That's when the dream ends.

So, I had a dream the other night I was making love to a bigger woman and it's carried over to the waking life.  My preference for sticks has been replaced!

No Tony, it's much appreciated.  I know you've been extremely busy with the dream dictionary.  I was actually rather surprised when I saw that you had responded, and on a Sunday!  Thanks Tony!

Dream Interpretation / A couple dreams I had
« on: August 24, 2012, 09:09:25 PM »
1st:  I'm with my ex and she is very angry with me, much like in the end of our relationship.  Then, unexpectedly, she comes near, looks into my eyes, and begins kissing me in a playful way, one peck after another.

2nd: In the next dream it's at night and I'm living in an unfamiliar time and place.  It feels like it's 20-30 years in the past.  I get a phone call from Hosni Mubarak of all people.  I'm not egyptian or muslim.  I'm of European decent, a country boy from Tennessee, but I do follow world politics a bit.  O, and Hosni was really nice over the phone.  Also, my dad hung up on him the first time and I was outraged!  Thinking,"dad! you hung up on the president of Egypt!" Next thing is my older brother (who I've always looked up to) tells me he's leaving for Detroit.  I tell him I would go but I have one more semester of school left before I graduate and that I can't dropout and go with him, as much as I'd like to.  It's strange because I already finished college, last year.

Dream Interpretation / Dream of Ex Reinforces a Recent Revelation
« on: July 24, 2012, 08:59:32 AM »
She and I are together in the basement of my parents' house.  We have our arms wrapped around one another.  Next, we are on the couch caressing one another.  I hear people coming down the stairs and realize that she's not wearing any pants.  I try frantically to hide the fact, though, she doesn't seem to be worried about it.  Next, my ex and I are sitting at the dinner table with people whom I imagine as my family.  (She has her pants back on at this point)

The dream was odd to me because in our relationship she was the one typically more concerned with modesty.  In this dream the roles are reversed.  I am worried for her reputation, where in the past/in the actual relationship I managed to overlook how her reputation could be negatively impacted, better yet, how both our reputations could be impacted.  Now, I see how this was a form of tremendous neglect.  I neglected "our" reputation.  I possessed such little integrity.  This dream reflects a recent shift in my awareness.  I now realize, more than ever, the importance of integrity.  Had I practiced integrity in that relationship I'd be in a much happier place right now.  Now, integrity is my goal everyday.
