Dream Interpretation / tony & i on top of a mountain.
« on: March 18, 2013, 01:08:55 PM »
hi tony,
i felt compelled to enter this dream as it contained you,& i believe it is related to your last comments on my ,dreams don't parrot what you already know post.
i feel that your comments & my meditation on them led to this dream,

i am on top of a mountain with tony crisp,i am in a sleeping bag as is tony,in the centre is a small fire,
tony says that he wants to show me a photo of something, that may help.
as he goes to get it from his rucksack,i am awe struck at the rising sun ,i fling my sleeping bag open to get out,but realise it is still a bit cold .so i snuggle bag in my bag,i am waiting for the earth to warm up.

a couple of nights before ,i watched a program on tv about the miracle of metamorphosis in nature,
the sleeping bags in the dream seemed to symbolise the chrysalis stage,

in response to your thoughts on my last post,i also came to feel that, what you may be saying is  ,not that nothing in this world matters, especially death ,but that it is all Maya, illusion,i believe the native Americans held a similar belief in that ,they saw the dream world as the real world, this world just being a reflection of it.
you have obviously had some experience or experiences throughout your life that have opened you up to this way of thinking,& yes you are right,it is difficult to explain to most ,
but i thank you for trying.

Dream Interpretation / dreams do not parrot what you already know,!
« on: February 26, 2013, 10:09:22 AM »
hi tony,
i read the above phrase and have  small query,
if it is true that dreams do not parrot what we already know ,as what would be the point,i was wondering if you could help me understand this dream i had last night,
my own personal beliefs relating to this dream,
i am against the killing of anything for sport, around where i live are a lot of pheasant shoots,i see these guffawing ego maniacs on a daily basis this time of year,& my heart sinks at the thought of the pain & suffering about to be met upon the beautiful birds.that's my own opinion,i am not enlightened enough to be non judgemental about it.

the dream,
i am  watching beaters making noise etc to make birds fly up so they can be shot ,some birds are actually physically thrown over the bushes into the field where the guns are,i am appalled at this and realise i am not one of them,i am differant,i understand these people have lost connection with something, tears are rolling down my cheeks.
i awoke feeling this incredible compassion with this suffering of the birds,
but the dream highlights the feelings i am already aware of,
as stated i am not of this kind of group ,never have been,
if it is highlighting the fact ,that i have lost connection with something or that i need to find a connection, and has nothing to do with how i feel about shooting birds etc  i can understand that ,especially if as you have said yourself, dreams are  feelings and fears disguised,
would love to here your thoughts.

Dream Interpretation / living totem again
« on: February 08, 2013, 04:26:52 PM »
hi tony,
i would be grateful for your thoughts on this dream as i feel my last post didn't lead to much,
the new totem dream.
a living totem again, comes out of the earth, same as first dream, living earth mother with first a wolf, then a wild boar, then a squirrel, all on top of each other,
i am surrounded by religious people, scientists,Christ,Buddha, they are are all debating ,some arguing about what this all means,
i have to shout to get myself heard,i wave a piece of paper in my hand at them, finally i get chance to speak,
i tell them that in my hands i hold the proof, but it is only for me,it is my experience that counts,& not what they think ,
i turn to see Buddha sat in the lotus position, smiling at me,i hand him the piece of paper,he reads it,smiles & bursts into laughter, then vanishes.
the living totem animals are now on my level, the wolf is in front, the squirrel up in a tree, the boar beside me,
the earth mother tells me that everything is in its place, except for a dark dangerous bear like creature that is stalking me,she tells me i must beware of this creature,
as i walk through the forest i feel protected by the animals around me,but am on edge as i know i am being watch by the dark creature,
would be grateful for any thoughts,as i feel that i have not got the important message of the dream, hence its return, albeit with a different insert,

Dream Interpretation / landing dream
« on: January 27, 2013, 12:57:26 PM »
tony,
i had this dream the other night and am a bit stumped while i can understand some of the symbology, some i cannot seem to relate to.
the dream.
i am travelling in an aeroplane, feels a bit like a ww2 flying fortress with the overtones of a passanger aircraft,
i am going round with a female stewardess checking the structure, noticing and repairing any faults i find, namely shrapnel tears in the outer skin ,
now in the cockpit, the female tells the pilot ,this is mikey he has been with us from the very beginning,i felt some pride in this as i had been loyal to the journey,
the pilot who had a golden radiance about him just looked and smiled as he dealt with some minor turbulence caused by a mountain we had just passed over,
we are on our approach now to the landing strip,i do not have a seat belt, the pilot tells me to brace myself when we land as there will be a very quick deceleration,as is usually the case in a landing aircraft.
as we are about to touch down ,i am thinking what an incredible journey this has been,a great adventure,i feel contented,
about to land.

Dream Interpretation / living totem
« on: December 23, 2012, 08:58:02 PM »
i had this dream last night ,i can hardly begin to find the words to describe it ,nothing will do it justice but here goes,
the dream,
walking through a forest i hear & feel the ground start to rumble before me,
bursting up out of the earth is a living totem pole,
on the bottom is the earth mother,on her head is a wolf, then a wild boar, followed by a creature that lives in the trees, not sure if it is a polecat or squirrel, they all jump down & surround me,
the earth mother tells me that these are my allies, against a dark very powerful being that is stalking me,she tells me it has been brought into being because of the quest i am on,
i felt i was in the presence of divinity & that something profound was imminent, absolutely stunning dream.
really would like some thoughts.

Dream Interpretation / dropping a pin
« on: December 22, 2012, 01:06:19 PM »
hi,
need a bit of help with this dream ,not clear as to what it refers to,any help much appreciated.
the dream.
i hear a pin or needle drop onto a wooden floor, this allows me to locate and pick it up,
as i bend down  i notice the feet of a female who has appeared out of nowhere,
as i rise i look at her on the way up,she is dressed in a shiny samite kind of dress which clings to her showing her shape, she has blonde hair and i notice she has a slight bump in her nose as if in the past it has been broken in a fight or something,,
i am attracted to her and immediatley ask her out  to which she says yes,
we end up having sex,but it was a special kind as at the moment of climax it felt almost divine, more of a union of souls not a physical act, difficult to describe really.
what i am struggling with is the picking up of the pin/needle.
the only ref i could come up with was the old saying,
see a pin and pick it up,all day long youll have good luck,
and ,the ref to being so quiet you could hear a pin drop,
any thoughts gratfully recieved.
rgds mikey,
merry xmas to all !

Dream Interpretation / the chapel perilous for christine
« on: December 17, 2012, 01:17:30 PM »
hi,just thought i would mention a liitle on the" chapel perilous "i have mentioned it on a few of my posts,
apart from the obvious ref to the arthurian legends it is also a metaphor for the sudden spiritual/psychological turmoil we find our selves in,when our views or belief system takes a battering from what is actually the real truth,
i always imagine a person who is a cold hard rationalist who lets say ,absolutly does not believe in ghosts, then one day he meets one,his centre of gravity or the foundation of his beliefs ,that which protected him or her has been wrecked,
this happened to me through a series of dreams that seemed to show future events in my own life ,right down to little details which i could not ignore, this created a state of turmoil for me,where the hell was this info coming from, nearly drove me mad,
the trouble is i spoke to the wrong people, they said dreams do not have this function,i believed them, but they kept coming till i listened, thats the chapel perilous.
in the chapel perilous myth ,you walk in,the door behind you slams shut, there is no going back,in reality this is the moment that you have that strange encounter that changes your beliefs, you cant go back after after a moment like that, and you are stuck there till a door opens somewhere else in the room, and open it will ,when your ready.
this is my journey as i can relate it to this myth,

Dream Interpretation / the crocodile dilemma
« on: December 10, 2012, 05:47:41 PM »
i had this strange dream last night,
i watch a crocodile with a child in its mouth play a word game with the father of the child as it swam around in the river,i realise it is all a hoax of some sort, the croc then comes after me,i punch it on the nose hoping this will deter it,it doesn't,
running up a large rock structure and leaping over the top i find myself hanging by one hand on a rope,
suspended over a rocky ravine,i have two choices, climb up and be eaten by the croc,or let go and be smashed to pieces on the rocks below.
i wind my wrist around the rope so has i dont lose my grip and just hang there pondering, realising there is no way out, suddenly out of knowhere, a huge bush appears below me,i realise i can now let go as my fall will be cusioned by this bush.

i mentioned this dream to my daughter who reminded me of the crocodile dilemma, the second part of the dream was also a dilemma ,
on reading up the croc dilemma and the second part of the dream,i can only come up with,
 this.
the croc dilemma is a paradox, perhaps this is how i see a situation, but the second part of the dream is not a paradox as a solution presents itself out of knowhere,i can now let go.
look forward very much to any thoughts,

Dream Interpretation / the wolf
« on: November 12, 2012, 12:14:52 PM »
hi,
i have a  idea as to what this dream refers to,but would be grateful for some thoughts.
the dream.
i enter a house which is right in the middle of a forest,it is dark and somewhat eerie,
all the doors & windows are wide open which would allow all & sundry to enter.
i am uneasy, feel vulnerable in this situation,
a  wolf comes into the house from the forest,it feels like a long lost friend,we greet each other as such, rolling around on the floor in playful fight,we are so pleased to see each other,i called this wolf "pathfinder"
because of this wolf turning up,i feel much safer as i know the wolfs superior senses will warn guard/ protect me,
the dream has left me with feelings of some sort of shamanic experience ,had this strong  feeling of something about to happen,
my own thoughts on this dream,
feel that ,something to do with intuition,as the wolf would sense things long before i could, that this is being made available to me,very profound dream for me,
look forward to any thoughts.

Dream Interpretation / fisher king & the giant fish dream
« on: October 26, 2012, 12:13:33 PM »
hi,been bombarded with dreams recently, one in particular stands out as different as it felt more vivid, powerful etc,
the dream,
i am looking down from a balcony on what appears to be a tropical island, palm trees etc,
on the jetty i see a fisherman catch a huge silver fish,i run down with my camera ,jump into the water & wade waist deep across to the scene,
2 females, ask me my name, which i tell them,(felt  like a sort of test to pass ), they approve ,i am let through.
the giant fish turns out to be a silver dorado,(checked,no such fish,)
it is in a long trough,i ask the fisherman if he is going to release it back into the wild, even though it is a fish of a lifetime,if it were me,i would put it back, let it go.
he tells me that ,he will have a steak from it,but the rest will go to feed the locals who are hungry,i can see the reason behind his thinking, although morally i would be in dilemma about having to make such a decision,

i notice the fishermans  face is burned by the sun as a result of catching this fish,& is having healing, cooling ointment put on it,
i can see in  the dream an old myth ,that of tasting  the salmon of wisdom & getting burned, from the Celtic version,(bran i think.)which relates to the grail story,ie the fisherking,
i am familiar with the grail myths, especially the wound of the fisherking, this i have had myself,in the form of a mystical experience that was to big to handle ,been searching for it again ever since !.
look forward to any thoughts.

Dream Interpretation / dream of the world tree.
« on: October 13, 2012, 08:33:27 AM »
hi,
i had this dream the other night, which if i am honest left me a little preturbed,
the dream.
i am at the centre of a large crater looking area,in the middle stands what i know to be the world tree,it looks just like a pole stuck in the ground,as all the branches have been ripped off,
i am on this pole now, watching two giants, one in black the other in white, fighting around this tree pole,i witness the white giant getting slashed by a sharp blade the black giant is wielding, reminded me of jesus getting whipped,
to my right i see something crashing through the forest and out into the open,
it is a giant godzilla type dinosaur,so powerful and terifying both the giants stop their conflict and run .
a female takes my hand and i know i need to go where she goes,
we get into an abandoned house,i am instructed to bar the door and windows,we sit and listen as the huge dinosaur sniffs around the house trying to locate us,i know that all we have to do is wait it out in silence as the creature can only detect us if we move or make a noise,it will then pass us by.
i am not religious, but this dream did carry a feeling of the passover mentioned in the bible.and this huge reptile was one thats been here before.
any thoughts would be appreciated.

Dream Interpretation / out of the mouth of babes.
« on: September 23, 2012, 10:51:29 AM »
just wanted to mention an experience i had yesterday regarding a dream ,

the dream i had was short,i had no associations with the symbolism, couldn't think of anything,
so in conversation with my daughter i mentioned the dream,
i have wispy wings like ferns,i shoot straight up into the sky, then i fly back down towards the earth as fast as i can,
stopping about an inch above the ground,
my daughter said,oh ! that's the wronski feint, she being a  harry potter fan,
so i decided to follow this up,
i found the description of this technique as performed in my dream, under the title,"a dangerous seeker diversion"
now that was the meaning of the dream !,i could relate to the diversion,me being the seeker,
i had been studying a lot of nonsense on you tube about strange noises in the sky,3 days of no sun all this end time garbage as it is 2012 etc,& allowed myself to be taken in,at least to the possibility that some of it may be true.
this was the diversion the dream title ref to,
& i most definitely had that, ah ha moment!
i have not read any of the harry potter books,so i have no knowledge of the intricacies of quiddich,
yet something came through.something i did not know i knew.
i am in awe of the power of dreams.

Dream Interpretation / the red aliens
« on: September 19, 2012, 09:58:24 AM »
hi,
this dream has been haunting me the past few days, hope someone can give me a few pointers,

the dream.
i am a member of dog the bounty hunters team,we arrive at a strange scene,
a cinema size screen is before us,i notice it is made of water,(similar to the abyss &stargate movies)
behind it stand 4 aliens who are completely red in colour, they look very noble & intelligent, not threatening at all,
one of them talks to me telepathically telling me to walk towards it & stick my head into the screen of water,
this i do,although it took a lot of effort ,had to push through the water which felt a lot denser than ordinary water.
the alien that spoke to me then puts its head to mine,IE so we are touching heads, forehead to forehead,
when this happens there is such a rush of incredible information from this being  i burst into tears of joy,
i cannot remember what was passed onto me,only that it had a profound affect on me,

i then see a whole army of soldiers arriving, bent on the total destruction of these beings,
we all, dogs team that is, start to laugh as we know that these beautiful alien beings are totally in destructable,& could make their weapons disappear  with just a thought,.

any thoughts welcome,
rads Mikey

Dream Interpretation / into the dark
« on: June 07, 2012, 11:12:15 AM »
Hi Tony,
While on holiday recently I had this dream which woke me up bolt upright at 3 am in the morning, sort of have an idea what it refers to, but as always I value your  thoughts.

The dream.
A female leads me into a huge hollowed out tree trunk, so large that somebody has made it a home, it is dark inside and I creep forward into the area carefully, my eyes adjust to the darkness and I can see it is the home of a sorceress or witch, as I can see a rack with various wands on it, to my left is the entrance to another hollowed out trunk which seemed to be the entrance to a lower level, this entrance was mega dark and I felt the presence of something, anticipating it leaping out at me  any moment.

Edging forward into the dark entrance very gingerly, sure enough ,out jumps a huge dog, who is actually the guardian of the entrance, I knew I had to pacify the dog to gain entry, as I felt , down this passage I must go.

As you can probably sense this dream contains that mythic theme.

The association I have with the dog, it was the gmork wolf creature from the never ending story movie, I felt, represented confronting that part which seeks to destroy my hopes and wishes ,and replace it with despair, as that was its function in the film /story, a quote from the story,” people without hope are easy to control. Whoever has the control, has the power”, this is all big stuff and has great meaning right now.

Look forward to your thoughts Tony.
Regards Mikey.

Dream Interpretation / travelling through dream
« on: April 22, 2012, 12:19:43 PM »

hi tony,
i would be grateful for any light you could shed on this dream for me,
the dream.
travelling on foot through what was yugoslavia,(a place i must add , have never visited in real life,)
i need to travel northwards to home,
i arrive in a very busy town, people milling about everywhere,
i have no idea where i am,nobody speaks my language, and i cannot speak theirs,
not knowing where i am,makes it difficult for me to work out which way i need to head,a crossroads of sorts,
not having a compass,i realise i need a map,
i enter a book shop,
i pick up a medieval looking bookmark, writing on it, similar to what  monks on lindisfarne may have written,
then i pick up a local map,
on looking at the map,i realise all i need to do is,
find out the name of the town i am in,by finding a sign with it on,
find  it on the map, then i will know where i am ,
next, find another town towards the north on the map, then find that town on the signs at the crossroads, and head in that direction,
all this ,without having to ask .
i remembered something joseph campbell once said , "myth is the map"
and i am wondering if this dream refs to putting trust in my own journey, and perhaps latent abilities  yet  to be recognised,
look forward to your thoughts tony.
