General Discussion / connection
« on: March 15, 2012, 11:56:35 AM »
hi tony,
just wanted to share a strange experience i had,
did a canoe wilderness camping trip on loch morar ,scotland,
it was a rare day,as believe it or not ,it was not raining, the sun was shining, loch flat calm like a mirror,
i was happily paddling along, felt as if i was floating in an in-between world as the sky and clouds  were reflected in the water,
on my right side, i became aware of a shape skimming along side, only about 3 feet away,
i was amazed to see that it was a buzzard,it was so close i could reach out and touch it,wing tips actually touching the water,
it stared at me as it flew past, then let out one of those high pitched ki noises they make, which made my whole body quiver, partly due to being startled by the noise ,
i am not sure what was actually going on,but it was a special moment, one that  will always be with me,
i most certainly felt blessed, just wished i could understand buzzard language.

Dream Interpretation / not the time to have an identity crisis !
« on: March 09, 2012, 01:20:00 PM »
Hi Tony,
I am not sure if I have answered this dream in the title!

I am waiting to take off in a small helicopter, I am number 3 of three, lined up on the runway,
someone official walks along the line, checking the documents of each of the pilots,
he arrives at me.

I have a carrier bag full of documents, papers etc all jumbled up together.
I know the items he wants to see are in there somewhere; rummaging through the bag nervously, I find the documents, namely my passport, I was panicking a bit as I thought I may have lost my documents, but phew! All was ok. We are now just waiting for permission to take off.

I look forward to any thoughts.

Dream Interpretation / chapel perilous theme
« on: December 15, 2011, 11:54:52 AM »
hi tony,
i thought i would mention this latest dream, as once again it contains those myth/archetypal images that always seem to provide extra ommph to a dream,
the dream.
i am in a cave or chapel, the door i came in through has slammed shut,no going back ,
there is another door on the other side of the chapel ,that is shut also,
i realise i am in a place of incredible supernatural activity, both positive and negative,
blue lights are  flashing all around  the room, but down on ground level i see yellow coloured lights, these i feel are negative ghost/ spirits of the passed,
in my hand i hold what i can only describe as, a puffer,a small bulb like tool that when squeezed puffs out a gas that envelops the ghost like spirits of the passed and outlines them, allowing me to  see and destroy them with a magical  knife i have,
on clearing the place out of these negative spirits, the remaining blue ones all come together and take on the form of a priest,
this being is wearing a sari kind of covering,is bald ,and has a blue rectangular bar tatooed  on his forehead, similar to what hindu holy men daub on forehead,(i could find no ref to hindu forehead marks in blue)
he walks over to the other door i mentioned and opens it,
i bow to him to show my respect,he then shakes my hand,i have used the word him,but on shaking his hand i realized he was neither a he nor she but both,
i walk through the newly opened door,to see a beautiful crystal clear river lined with trees,
all along the banks are discarded wooden staffs,& sticks, some rotten, some strong,as if dumped after some great flood had passed,
it seems my job now is, to find myself a good strong wooden staff from those lying around, to afford me some protection ,for the next part of the journey up river,
as you can see, this dream has that mythic feel about it,
i look forward to your thoughts,
kind regards mikey.

Dream Interpretation / the blackhole & end of the world
« on: October 14, 2011, 02:21:25 PM »
Hi Tony,
This dream was one that I thought came under the heading of important.

I witness a blackhole open up, everything is starting to get sucked in, houses trees animals, in fact all matter and life, just as a real blackhole in space does. I hear people screaming, as they to are sucked in.

Firstly, peoples hope is being sucked out of them; I hear one person say, "There is no point in fighting it" he then just lets himself fall in.

After watching this for a few moments, I to felt the hope ebbing from me, and I to decide to jump in, thinking that its pointless to resist.

As I am about to do this, an electro static energy appears, surrounds me and stops me from submitting to what would be an act of suicide. I remember thinking if I do get sucked into this blackhole, I along with all  life would be in a state of limbo forever, totally devoid of light and love, just stuck in blackness.

I did not want that, and slowly came to my senses. I know it was the strange powerful energy that surrounded me that brought me out of this negative state, it held onto me, would not let me go.

When I finally came to, the blackhole disappeared as quickly as had come. A female is with me now, and I know I have managed to survive a world disaster of epic proportions, I am one of a few who have survived to start a new life.

Given the current climate of end of the world theories, 2012 and the Mayan thing etc, I did wonder if this had something to do with my dream. I have to mention also, that I do not feel depressed either, which was the first thing I looked at in relation to this dream.

Look forward to your thoughts,
Regds Mikey.

Dream Interpretation / archetype of the paradigm
« on: October 07, 2011, 01:33:18 PM »
tony,
just wanted to say thanks for the article on the archetype of the paradigm,
i especially liked the "nothing in our consciousness can exist, unless it is produced by the physical brain.
i have had dreams in the past that have been de je vu in content,to such detail that i have been stunned, as i experience it taking place before my very eyes,,
i now see after reading the article mentioned ,that an attempt has been made to break me out of my  so called ,rational thinking, and belief system,by some other force, not sure if thats the right word, but it will have to do,
i remember saying to myself that,it is impossible for the brain as a lump of meat, albeit a pretty amazing lump of meat,to have a built in store of all future events, that meant it must come from another source, something other, does know, and will on occasion render the info to the conscious mind, mostly for me in dreams, but i am sure that many a waking  intuition comes from the same place.
one thing that this has all left me with is this,
there is another dimension that is not available to our 5 senses.
and if this is true, then anything is possible.
thanks again for your wisdom

Dream Interpretation / merits of dream incubation
« on: August 06, 2011, 01:33:08 PM »
hi,
the other day i felt a little confused as to the goal that my dreams seemed to be pointing out to me,
a lot of the symbolism seems spiritual/religious in nature,i do not consider myself to be either, and prefer to shun anything religious,
i decided to ask for clarity, just before i nodded off to sleep,
the dream i had answers my question.
i am being led through a labyrinth by a large female, the last section is very narrow and is on a corner turning to the right, felt very constricted,
i stop and say to her, that i would not be able to get through this place without her help, sort of saying a big thanks,
around the corner is a large hall area,i cant see it yet,but i know its there.
i ask the female what is waiting for me ,she replies ,a higher experience of self.
i took this to mean that all the previous experiences of self would pale away into insignificance ,
so there was a wake up feeling of great anticipation,
i found it interesting that she did not say ,an experience of the higher self, but a higher experience of self, which to me took on a different meaning, suggesting that i have had previous experiences ,which are about to be bettered,
the ref to the large female, was taken from an article i read the day before,on goddess archetypes,
i have to be honest and admit, that dream incubation does indeed work,i suppose the phrase ,ask and it shall be given would seem very apt,
as to this idea of the higher self,i have yet to understand exactly what it is,to some it would seem  like god, depending on your point of view,
i remain  open to suggestions.

Dream Interpretation / pyramid capstone
« on: June 24, 2011, 02:10:38 PM »
hi,
had this dream a few  nights ago,has been bugging me for a while ,and would be grateful for some clues,
the dream.
i am on top of a huge pyramid structure, and i am placing the capstone into position,it is inscribed with various egyptian glyphs and slides into place with a clunk, the outer scaffolding we have used to build the structure is removed, and i become aware of the tremendous height and feel a little insecure,i get a grip and decide to abseil down,i arrive at the bottom safe and sound,a female who was with me,says something quite strange,i love you, pointing to some other person present, then again to another, she then turns to me and says, but most of all i love you  ,she then kisses me pationately,i am taken aback by all this,as it was deffinately unexpected.

this dream had a BIG feel about it,and i felt that whoever this female was,i had to go with her.
any help would be appreciated.

Dream Interpretation / transformation dream
« on: March 08, 2011, 04:28:45 PM »
hi tony,
i had a very interesting dream last night which i think is of some significance, especially the feminine aspect you mentioned to me in one of my earlier dream post responses,
the dream,
i see a female cat tumbling over and over down a steep grassy hill, she becomes unconscious and lands in the water, without thinking i jumped in and pulled her out, wrapped her in a towel and brought her back to life.
later on i was doing something else in the dream, when i hear a voice saying that she wants to thank me for saving her life,
i turn round to see a tall female with short dark hair, she thanks me by kissing me,she then says that she loves me and she did not know this until 40 minutes ago,she knows i am the one.

what came to mind on thinking about this dream was something i heard joseph campbell say,
how is it,that a human can so participate in the pain or peril of another, that, without thinking will sacrifice themselves to the other.
this is the breakthrough to the realization that you and the other are one,
that phrase i believe sums up this dream perfectly.
the other thing that i felt within the dream was the presence of shakti,
now i had no idea what or who shakti was,so i followed it up,i know now!
i am amazed at the lengths the unconscious goes to to make a point.

Dream Interpretation / blood sample
« on: February 11, 2011, 04:22:22 PM »
hi tony,
bit stuck with the symbology in this dream ,hoping you can give me a few pointers,
the dream.
lying on a bed,  an older male nurse type character, takes me by supprise by sticking a needle in my nose,he is a haematologist and just wants a sample of blood ,
he then notices something ,with a pair of forceps he removes a piece of metal from the bridge of my nose,
i say to him, this why i have constantly been having boils on my nose,he replies yes,its something that has been working its way out,a remnant from a pair of glasses i wore as a child,
i realise now that it has been removed ,the healing will begin,
none of this makes sense,i never wore glasses as a child, and no boil's on the nose,
so the literal interpretation is out,
i can see the probable connection with some sort of repressed injury or emotion, maybe from childhood,
but i don't understand ,and am very intrigued by the nose theme and the taking of a blood sample,
look forward to your thoughts.

Dream Interpretation / dream progress
« on: February 02, 2011, 11:48:17 AM »
hi tony,
following up your previous comments on dreams i posted,i have followed up your recomendations and delved a little more into the deeper aspects of the feminine,i feel i must be making progress as this dream seems to show more acceptance of the feminine on my part,
the dream,
i walk pass a lake, there is a blonde haired female floating face upwards just under the surface of the water,
i am not attracted to her as i think she is not all that pretty,so i ignore her.
taking a couple or more steps i  stop as, i am filled with awe at the realisation that this is no ordinary lady, but the lady of the lake from arthurian legend,
i return to her ,offer her my hand ,and lift/pull her out of the water onto the land,
i then realised she was an androgonous being,we embraced each other,a theme that has cropped up on a few dream occasions,
i don't think this dream needs interpreting,as it speaks for itself,i just wanted to share it,as it shows  progress.

Dream Interpretation / sea journey themes in dreams
« on: January 20, 2011, 01:27:44 PM »
hi tony,
had a stab at interpreting this dream my self, would appreciate your thoughts on it especially something i may have missed or miss interpreted,
i am sailing on the ocean in a yacht,i am a crew member, and the skipper is very capable, the sea gets very rough, we down sail ,and motor on engine only,i feel the boat is well able to cope with anything the sea can throw at it,i also feel the skipper knows what he is doing and that we are in capable hands,
looking out across the ocean, all i can see is water, but out there is our destination,i then realize the skipper knows exactly where he is going ,
i looked up to see a gigantic hood like structure above my head protecting me from the elements,

this to me was a big, vivid adventure filled dream,my own thoughts on it are that,
it represents my journey through mid life, that rather than being at the mercy of the wind,(outside forces)i do have control of sorts ,being driven by unconscious forces,ie the engine which is down below, and  some higher aspect of my own psychic makeup (the skipper, old man of the sea)that knows instinctivly where to go,this may be  ref to inuition,
the latter part, the giant hood protecting me,reminded of buddha ,when the cobra sheilded him ,as i am not buddha, but mear mortal, would like any thoughts you may on this aspect,
kind regards mikey

Dream Interpretation / numbers in dreams
« on: December 21, 2010, 12:37:23 PM »
hi tony,
i had this dream last night, which contained number symbology, not being conversent with this type of symbology i would be grateful for some pointers,
the dream started with me walking down a street,
i meet an old lady who has dropped some prescription meds on the floor,i pick them up for her,
moving down the street,i meet another old lady ,she is having trouble walking over some carrier bags full of shopping on the floor,i take her arm and help her over it,
moving down the street,i meet another old lady, she turns to me and says 234 what does it mean,i reply add them together, what have you got ,9,
as you can see the numbers 3,and 9 are evident,

Dream Interpretation / landing in tuscany
« on: November 29, 2010, 05:29:30 PM »
hi,
i have been working on this dream for a few days and i think i understand what it refers to,
but as always its good to have a second opinion as i may have overlooked something,
the dream.
i am traveling on a passanger plane, looking out of the window i remark that something must be wrong as we are flying to low,i feel the pilot is looking for somewhere to land (in a hurry)as a safety precaution, through the window again i can see the leaning tower of pisa and the red terracotta roof tiles of the houses, deducing from this that we are over tuscany ,italy,(remember not knowing where i was until seeing the leaning tower))
we land on a road, and exit the plane ,we are wondering about all the people, loved ones etc that were waiting at the airport for us,
we are told that a bus will be bringing them to us ,seeing as we landed short of the airport, and all we have to do is stay where we are
the bus arrives and a crowd gets off,
2 females walk across to the crowd and point out a female to me,and visa versa,
as we meet we embrace and i feel absolute relief and joy,i say to her,i am glad i found you,i do not know what i would have done without you.
felt as if i had been re-united with a long lost love.

Dream Interpretation / the female from jupiter,
« on: November 04, 2010, 04:05:20 PM »
i would love your thoughts on this dream,

i meet a beautiful female from jupiter, she is wearing a white cheescloth dress and is almost divine in nature,
i am very attracted to her,
she passes me a white shirt ,which i put on,she tells me that while i have been here,i have been enlightened,
we are now standing on a bridge, she takes my hand and tells me,we have each other now,
we kiss each other, tastes of nectar ,so sweet,
we walk towards an entrance to her world (jupiter),through the entrance i can see strange other wordly creatures .some look like dinosaurs,i am in awe of what i am seeing,
as we step into her world, she tells me to look up,which i do,the reason for this was ,she was telling me not to be distracted by what i am seeing around me,as a great raptor/eagle was coming out of the sky to pick me up,
phew ! this was an amazing dream and has had a profound effect on me,
i would consider this one of the big dreams that jung talks of,
i am a 55yr old male living in the uk if this is of any relevance,
i look forward to your thoughts.
regards mike
