Dream Interpretation / Re: Can Someone Please Help Me???
« on: December 01, 2011, 11:26:36 AM »
Rxn1012 – I suppose you realise that dreams are a purely mental and psychological event, so you are not dreaming about the girl GG but about your feelings about her.

And I feel the dream shows you with a good self sufficient energy to get to where you want to go. And then you feel you have connected with GG within you and you move to be with her.

What follows is what you feel from your own assessment of the situation, not a conscious worked out assessment but one you feel is your best view of it. So you see that she is ready to move toward what is a real meeting, and the father in your dream is part of that. It is saying that you want to make it with a good foundation. So I suggest you go ahead.

OBcean – Yes, it usually points to you having a difficult time in making your way in life. And walking barefoot can represent going through rough patch if the things are sharp.

Tamsyn – Your dream has a wonderful start, so full of life and growth – the sun and the green. That you are not following any path is also a sign of personal growth. It shows you as a person who can adapt to the moment as an individual.

Then the bush that only comes up to your chest suggests that you inner growth is up to your heart, and that is the theme the bush and the ring are about. But it hasn’t got many leaves, suggesting that it hasn’t survived well, and so you haven’t yet shown all your talents or that you haven’t flowered yet. But the beginning of the dream says that you are well on the way to do so.

The ring seems to me to represent a promise that was never allowed to grow, and in fact was broken in some way. It was an intrinsic part pf you that is now recovered. Yet there it is the ring, still golden and shining, still representing wholeness and eternity and of course marriage. It is like something that you knew was there in you and you are recognising it. You have brought it to consciousness.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Anyone want to try their hand at this one?
« on: November 28, 2011, 10:04:56 AM »
Fanficjunkie – As you say, you are a fanfic junkie, and that probably explains your dream.

Think about it, you are a young woman who is not doing all that well on the social scene at university. And you dream of a rich and handsome ‘owner’ who keeps you prisoner. Doesn’t that sound like a plot for a fanfic?

Also you are not allowing the plot to really be acted out because your screaming – with delight or pain – so obviously you are keeping some stuff dark and unknown. It takes a lot of energy to do whatever you are doing, and that usually means psychological energy. Therefore I suggest you really involve yourself in the dream action and remember what is happening in the ‘dark’ phases. So really let yourself go and see what you really want to fantasy. It could be very revealing and also it could set you free, because at the moment you are imprisoned - so break out by allowing yourself to be whatever is in you to become.

By the way give Amadeus a stroke for me.  :)

Fearless – This is a good dream. Nowhere is there any sign of harm or danger, and I think you ask yourself so many questions that it causes you to be confused.

As for past lives, our core self has existed through all the ages of the earth, so we are acquainted with all cultures. But it is this life, which is unique and fresh that faces you with Germany, where you will learn a great deal.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Black hole Dream
« on: November 27, 2011, 12:48:14 PM »
Tiernan – It is good to see you here again. As I said last time, all I can do is to add some touches that might be helpful.

This dream is a huge jump to the last one. It has tremendous promise. You are getting very near to your Core now. The black hole is a fantastic symbol, and unlike so many people, you are not afraid of it. And I would love to know how you came by the courage.

Here is something I added to the feature Dream Yoga today before I saw your dream;

Falling and the big black hole are things we avoid in waking life, but should not be avoided in dream life. Here is a dream of a dream yogi.

“I can remember being dressed as an heroic warrior running through crowds of people or soldiers who were trying to stop me. I pushed or knocked them aside and ran toward what was a huge caldera – the mouth of a volcano. It was hugely deep, and in its depths was a massive glow from volcanic lava. But I knew that this was the core of oneself, so I ran and leapt into the void falling into what I knew or felt sure was the light at the core of my being.”

The hole is an important part of you and should not be ignored. If you can enter it you realise that it is the way to your own centre and power. It is the hole described in Alice in the Wonderland.

But the hole and facing death are really gateways to discover who, or what, you are. Most people say, “I don’t believe in God. There is no evidence for His existence.” Some people say, “I believe in God with all my heart.” But both people are locked into only knowing a tiny part of them based on our conscious self, emotions, words and thoughts. They are so sure of themselves based on an almost infinitesimal small part of them. And the silly thing is that they are so sure of themselves from this small understanding.

Behind that conscious self, so new, so fragile, is the darkness of unconsciousness. And there in the darkness is the Hugeness that lies behind our small self. So ask your self, “Who am I? What am I?” And do not be fooled by repeating your name, what you have achieved, and all the ready made word descriptions. Keep asking."

It all revolves around in a circle, but at each turn it is new and unique. The fall into it and are expressed out of it all in the same moment.

The laws of physics seem a bit warped – that is because they are. Usually we only see them from the small ‘conscious self' mentioned above. When we see it in the Hugeness it is all a part of the whole – which we fail to see from our little self. As I say later in Dream Yoga, our conscious self is like a photocopier, and deals only in copies, not reality.

The ceiling crashing down I see as you realising the dangers of everyday life, the subtle dangers of beliefs we hold as truths, and you can sidestep them. The DB character is probably your workaday world mind that is not all that interested in ‘higher speculations’.

And then you face a choice, whether you want more of the life of red blood, the physical life that you are hungry for, or whether to take the steep and narrow way onwards. And quite honestly you can have both if you are careful about avoiding the dangers.

Press on. And if you can use http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-in-your-dream/ you could open it all up.

Tamsyn – I started exploring your dream, but am puzzled by what you mean that the branch was broken but ends in a join. What was it joined to? As this is the very heart of the dream I am wanting to know more.

Christine - That ocean seems to be the one we are all immersed in and are usually unaware of.

Presumably you opened the fist to look at the back of your hand? Maybe that is part of the new cycle.

I looked at the link, and read some of the 204 lecture, and saw what an excellent teacher you have. It is good to see someone who does not avoid the real work. "It has the advantage of keeping you whole, and actually confronting you with your fears, traumas – karma – instead of trying to get to the good place without the work of self transcendence." Taken from Dream Yoga.

Leesha – You are doubly honoured that the Lord Shiva appeared to you.

This is a Mystery. It suggests that great changes will occur. But be ready to face them as they are for the good. Do not expect it today or tomorrow, but watch for it.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Image of Hands
« on: November 25, 2011, 01:17:26 PM »
Christine – Well it is quite an unusual dream, and numbers are difficult to get a hold on. So here am I after about half and hour of looking and this is what I came up with.

The palm of the hand is the area of our body that has – apart from the soles of the feet – the most contact with the world and work, and has to do with our creative action in ‘handling’ things, so the everyday actions of life.

The back of the hand is the direct opposite of that and has to do with non physical activities, or even non activity. But the back of the hand is also often used as a notepad on which you write things you do not want to forget.

The number ten is often described as the ending of one cycle and the beginning of a new one; the synthesis of all numbers, the male and the female as one – so completion.

Therefore the dream seems to say that you have put a memo to yourself to remember something important, the starting of a new cycle, perhaps one in which there is less physical work involved.

Christine - Thank you for your warmth and comments.

I have only once celebrated Thanksgiving, and that was in the home of a long time friend in Montreal Canada. It was very much a family celebration and I have a lot of memories of it. Here in the UK we do not do that, though we have the Harvest Festival which is celebrated in churches but not in homes.

I am going to explore your dream soon, but was wondering what you saw on YouTube, was it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSPe913ZOmE&feature=related ?

General Discussion / Re: Hate
« on: November 23, 2011, 12:57:51 PM »
Hi Rain_Dancer - I have been consumed by hate twice in my life. Once was a long period when I felt livid hate for my second wife's children - and I think it was mutual. It gradually went as I sorted out my relationship with them - not in a I am a nice guy way, but in a straight talking way. The elder one left and didn't communicate with me for years, but when we met again she came and hugged me and said sorry.

The other time was with my mother. This was a real struggle because I saw that all the negative feelings were now projected onto my wife. Something I learned is that any left overs in regard to ones  parents stay in you, and then are worked out on the next person you 'love'. So I was going through a terrible six weeks of reliving the feelings of my three year old self being, as I felt, deserted by my mother and put in an orphanage. It felt as if I had lost any sense of time and felt I was there for eternity. during it I couldn't sleep and had to put a chart on the wall to show that time was passing and I would eventually get to the end of it.

So I went in deep and saw that if I didn't forgive my mother then it would be the end of my marriage because all the anger was focused on her. And forgiving wasn't easy, but I saw that I had to do it for my own sake otherwise I would be forever at the mercy of my own hurt emotions. When I did eventually manage to forgive, and so stopping bursting into tears in every shop I went into, I realised that I had also forgiven myself. I could see so clearly that all the judgments I had put on my mother I had put on me as well - a wonderful release.

So I would certainly wonder who it is you are hating, whether you are now using your ex instead of getting to the base camp so to speak - and who it is you need to forgive. Not forget though, never forget.

Cassywax – The dream says that you see yourself as hard worker that doesn’t get enough credit for what you do. Also you are a fun living and flirty type of person who doesn’t take it all too seriously. But you would be very worried if your boyfriend found out – even though to you it is all non-serious.

Also you can keep your life separate and you have no need to tell everything.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Snake with Wings wounding a tiger in the dream
« on: November 22, 2011, 01:08:04 PM »
Manasi – All the dreams you have sent me shows a very disturbed relationship with you enormously important instinctive drives. These are shown by the snake and the tiger, and also the elephant. The instincts are important as they underlie our conscious self, and are part of our brain functions. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/brain-levels-and-dreams/

Your dreams show a lot of fear and conflict in that area and with a little work you can begin to heal it. The life energy shown by the snake is killing or injuring your physical strength and normal aggressiveness, and that means you will have little motivation to do things.

You need to balance this up by being able to imagine yourself in the dream and through your imagination, like meditation, see yourself not running from the elephant, but asking it to stop being so threatening – after all it is a valuable part of you.

The same with the tiger and snake. There is no need to be afraid because dreams are similar to computer games, just like virtual reality in which nothing can get hurt. But in responding to dreams in this way you can gradually change the way you react to your sexual feelings, your energy and yourself. Obviously it will take work and time, but the danger isn’t in your dreams, but in your waking life where you have lost your motivation and strength.

So please read and use http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dream-yoga/ and http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/active-imagination/

And please write again if you need help in doing this.

Questions about dreams / Re: same friend different dreams
« on: November 21, 2011, 01:36:25 PM »
AJBenson -  In the darkness a light glimmers. Gradually it takes shape. The shape of a person is suggested. In the time that follows he or she evolves form, moves, and you have full sensory experience. You are totally involved, with all your emotions and sexuality responding. Changes occur and you love, fight, fear, murder or bring to life again the person, who can become an animal, a devil, God or a bodiless voice lost in a sombre countryside. Your experiences are totally real, and you move through heaven and hell, despair and joy, darkness and light. Scenes from your past can be revisited – or totally new experiences can be felt so clearly, you are enriched.

That is a dream. There is nobody there except you, your imagination and your fears, your hopes and even, at times, wisdom. You are the passenger in a wonderful creative action, your dreams. And the dream you describe seems to be one you create out of your hopes and desires, often unconscious.

Now you are also powerful in your waking life if you have daring, so having stopped crushing on him, what would you like to happen next, and how can you move toward it?
