Dream Interpretation / Re: Lord shiva in my dream
« on: October 26, 2011, 03:05:48 PM »
Hi LonelyWarrior – You are not taking up my time be sending me a good description of you dream. It helps, and adds another dream to my collection.

What I see in your dream is that you have stimulated processes in you that have put you in a powerful flow of energy – Shiva and Nandi. This has brought you to Shiva’s attention - he is watching you. The worship you have been practising has brought you this far and you must ask for a sign as to what is needed of you now. If you continue it will become obvious, you will have an experience, an initiation that will show you the way. There is an old saying that when the disciple is ready the Master will appear. But the master may take many forms.

It can be is a dream where you are told what is needed of you at the moment. At example of such a dream is as follows:

"I was walking across open moorland, followed by a crowd of people. I was their leader, and was supposed to be leading them to ‘Salvation/God’. The only thing was, I had no idea in which direction salvation lay. We came to a barbed-wire fence and stopped. I was considering the best place to cross, when I noticed a rabbit beyond the fence. My dog was with me, and leapt on the rabbit to kill it as in previous dreams, but this time the rabbit fought back and bit his foot, and he stood back respectfully, as he would if a cat clawed him. I now saw that the rabbit had turned into a huge and powerful hare, with four pink furry babies. Then the hare spoke to me, saying, “Where are you going?”

"I told him we were looking for salvation. He listened and then quietly said, “Turn back. Go back to whence you came.” At this I became irritable and said, who was he to tell us what to do. There were so many so-called authorities telling people how to discover truth, and yet most of them either disagreed or hadn’t found it themselves.

"The hare looked at me and suddenly disappeared. Then, in a few moments it reappeared. This impressed me tremendously. I felt it was a sign of complete self-mastery, and knew the hare was the master. He then said again, “Go back, and carry on with your accustomed tasks. Do not wildly seek the Kingdom of Heaven, for you already have what you seek within you. Your seeking only hides it.” Then we all turned around and went back to our village, and carried on our usual tasks, knowing that in time, we would realise our heaven – find Self through meeting life’s trials and growing."

It can come through a voice or spirit talking to you. Through someone who has achieved that awareness simply looking at you, or by a casual touch. It can come in a vision that moves you. But when it comes you will know and it will be followed by other such meetings – for once you have met the master you will never be left unless you yourself desert. Here is another such meeting.

"I was going through a fairly cynical phase, and in the dream my wife told me she had met a Master. I said such people were fictional characters, but went to see for myself anyway. The man worked opposite where I lived in London, in a small printing factory on the corner of Duke Street - the factory is still there. Apparently the man used to come out onto a raised loading bay at lunch time and talk with the few people who gathered to listen to him. So I waited in the street around the loading bay with the others. Then there was a whisper that HE was coming down the stairs from the first floor of the factory. As I caught sight of him I didn't think much of him. He was medium height, about late twenties or early thirties, slim but not skinny, perhaps athletic build. He had sandy, slightly red hair, going prematurely bald.

"He was not a flamboyant man at all, but very quiet and unassuming. He stood on the loading bay and began to talk about the spiritual life. It was very simple, and I thought to myself that I had heard or read it all before in the spiritual classics and the bible, and he was simply repeating it. He didn't speak for long though and he came down to meet us all. About five of us walked along the street with him slowly, talking. In those days there was no traffic rushing past. Near the end of the street, before it joined Euston Road he stopped and slowly looked at the people to my right. They seemed to get something from this. Then he turned his eyes on me. Suddenly I was pierced through with the most intense love I had ever felt. He knew me through and through, every part of my life, and he bathed me in love. I fell forward into his arms, crying, and he held me for a while then gently parted. I knew I had met a master."

As for not worshipping the Lingam, everything is in you and you can call it out of you through worship. And being a girl doesn’t matter as far as the spiritual life is concerned. Sri Anandamayi Ma was a wonderful guru and started young. Also there is Amma, another living example. But often we are called to be less famous and yet a part of the holy fire.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Can you interpret this for me?

MBAK – This sounds like stroll down memory lane. The wood is relaxed and fond memories, and the great statues on the bridge – but I do not have your associations with them so I cannot follow your journey there.

But you are going through a change in your life – maybe in mid life – and you are still in the middle of it. But it leads you to think of the girl in the boat who obviously went in another direction, but you want to make her aware that you would like to meet. Can you try to wave again while awake, because the stream of her life intersects with yours.

Matt - I like to think things are speeding up - so fingers crossed and you will not take a decade. Remember that I was born in 1937, so there was all sorts of rubbish to wade through. There was all manner of rubbish for me to unload as well, but we have plenty of time.

Did you see the thing on YouTube- we have a lot of time and a lot of opportunities - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF3KqGpxXvo&feature=related

Don't worry about being in two places at once - just do it.

All such are received, even if only in dreams.

And thanks - Tony

Christine – I am still smiling at being called “the man behind the curtain”.

I wish I could see a picture of what you saw. So I have to imagine it, and my impression is that this is so big a thing it is difficult to find words to fit it.

Somehow it is an image of human life, its struggles and glory. The intersection is where the difficulties of physical life meet the push of the spirit within. And at that point we can flower because of the tension and resistance. It is sometimes depicted as the Rose Cross – the Rosae Crucis.

The way of the cross leads to meeting sorrows and tears we have sowed in our lives. Eventually we meet death and resurrection. It is a big event, and these words are only a tiny sign of it.

Dream Interpretation / Re: A blue mask, the fortune teller
« on: October 25, 2011, 05:47:42 AM »
Pari – The blue mask is a device for a being/spirit without a body – a dead person – to communicate with you. It remains bodiless because that is what it is. Such beings are neither male nor female but both, as we all are when we attain some spiritual development, and no longer are attached to the body of one gender.

It communicates, as far as I can tell, of your potential, and suggests you have a potential for business if you choose to go in that direction.

The headmistress appears to be an image of your own ability to find teaching and information within yourself. It usually shows as intuition and can be heard as words or thoughts that appear to come from someone else, but are a part of your wider awareness. And it is a chosen direction you take to have sex with her/yourself.

Thank you.

I am benefiting from being here too, exposed to so many dreams, and me trying to understand them and comment on them.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Dreams after a 14 day spirit quest.
« on: October 24, 2011, 03:06:09 PM »
Shefelltoearth – This is what I see.

You are seeking a big change and that means initiation. And in fact your initiation has begun, but you must stay with it, because initiation means testing you. Without the right qualities you cannot pass into the way of Life.

The qualities you need are courage – discrimination between the false and the true – harmless warrior (in your dreams anyway) – and persistence.

With the dogs you were harmless warrior because you did not attempt to fight them. You fought back with the man who came out of the dark. Good, but then you ran away – no courage and no ability to discriminate yet. You cannot be hurt in this world of dreams, so you must face the tests presented. Then you will face death unafraid. You will meet pain of the soul and pass through. And you do it by recognising that you are a seed of the cosmos, and daring to be it. There is no easy way from the earth to the stars – except by knowing you are the stars, and they are your parents.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Seeking
« on: October 24, 2011, 10:04:48 AM »
Lotus – In the first place it is very seldom that any dream states things straight out as in everyday life - even in waking life things are usually not that clear.

To get at the real meaning of a dream you have to enter into each character and object in the dream, and be them. Because dream come from a very ancient part of us that uses ‘felt’ things as a language of dreams. So you have to feel the quality of your dream people and objects. Try being the girl – the adult film star.

I am not you, but the first thing I have to say is that “I am not a real person, only an imagined one who is about sex.” She is an imagined one because she does not actually appear in your dream, but is a raging feeling in you. As such she becomes a target to believe in.

So the dream is a magic mirror reflecting you, your feelings and fears – so you see your husband in the light of a person with no integrity. Such feelings grow because you cannot ‘find him out’ and so your feeling, which you project onto him, grows, ruining the relationship, until he actually finds another woman.

If I am right, instead of projecting your feelings onto your husband, try seeing where they come from in you – usually parents or a previous relationship in which you were actually left for another woman so fear it will happen again. Dream Interpretation / Re: Dream

Gia – It seems that it might be an intuition about your living friend getting nearer to death. I have several dreams from people walking with a person who then dies, but they are not allowed in. But in this dream it is a walk with someone already dead – perhaps preparing the way for the living friend, or more likely, learning to communicate with the dead person.

What did you feel that made you feel weird – maybe there is a clue there?

Dream Interpretation / Re: Can't Speak
« on: October 20, 2011, 11:18:48 AM »
Adorknamedkayla – I took a long time researching this by looking through the collection of thousands of dreams to see if any of them showed anything similar. I found two dreams that are quoted here:

“I dreamt I was involved with a young man like Ian, in his twenties, and a young boy playing the violin, about twelve. The Ian type was living in an apartment like those I lived in with my parents in London. He was very cynical and being heavy with the young boy, teasing and overbearing to the point of domination. I got so pissed off with this I first threatened, then hit him with a metal drainpipe. He froze into a state where he didn’t speak or move. This woke me and I stood in his role and felt a lot of feeling - or frozen feeling - of being angry at ‘society’. It felt a bit like a wall of protection around myself. This appeared to me to be associated with my teenage and early twenties. I don’t yet know what led me to feel those feelings in the first place though.”

“The man didn’t seem to notice me and I was in two minds whether to say hello to him, as I didn’t know whether he would want to speak to me. This reminds me of feelings I have had with John E. at times. Suddenly he changed in appearance, and I could see how he had been brutally beaten and maltreated. He had lost a lot of weight and musculature. His eyes were sunken with heavy bruising on his face, and he had the appearance that the rest if his body was also in a similar condition. There is a part of the dream action which I cannot recall here. I believe it had something to do with aggressiveness, either against this man or by him. I do remember clearly that after this episode the man was near me and I held him with a lot of tender love which he seemed to receive.”

But as I looked for a meaning that included all the factors of your dream I came across something very different, and I put it here in case it is relevant. I felt that the statement that you were walking with your friend and came to the end of the sidewalk and you stopped is very important. It seems to point to some action in you, and unconscious decision that you could not go any further with your inner life and so stopped expressing yourself.

That they were recurring dreams is also important, as it points to something stuck and not moving – a situation that is being presented again and again that you cannot get past. Dreams deal with the deep down processes of you that are the real internal working that give you life and awareness. Unfortunately most of us are like the blossom on a bulb that has life, a very unique life, but doesn’t know where it came from in the depths of the soil. And something important is trying to express, from the ‘bulb’, that has got blocked.

The part of you that wishes to be expressed and has got blocked, even if it isn’t as I have described it, is not a rational known part of you. It hasn’t got ready formed words or sentences to say or ready made experience for you to allow. Life in us is always trying to grow us, and growth at first is tentative and vulnerable. The shape it first puts out is only something that eventually becomes real and formed. So you need to let your self make ridiculous sounds and movements. So if you can, try this:

Learning to use your voice. Take about fifteen to thirty minutes for this. Use quiet background music as an aid to giving yourself permission to make sounds. But be careful of pushing your voice too far as you may become hoarse.
1 -        Stand with eyes closed. Become aware of your breathing rhythm. Slowly deepen it but do not speed it up. If anything make it slower and fuller.
2 -        When you feel at ease with this add a sound to the outbreath. It is easiest to use the aaaahhhh sound at first.
3 -        Keep this going until you feel the sound flowing out easily and reasonably smoothly. Then move the sound around by changing the volume. Make it soft, make it loud. Try the different volumes of your voice and the different levels of power.
4 -        Next try shifting the feeling quality. Make different sounds to see what variety of feelings you can discover or express. If you hit a satisfying sound, something you can enjoy, move it to express laughter, change it into sadness, thoughtfulness, anger, hurt – in fact try it in all sorts of pitches and feeling qualities.
5 -        This can be very entertaining because the voice is an incredible instrument, so enjoy yourself with the instrument you have played since babyhood. If words find their way into what you are doing let them – but see what range of feelings you can express with them. But in the end allow any sound that now comes out of you even if it doesn’t make sense. Allow you inner being to express as it wishes.
6 -        When you have finished playing the instrument of your voice, relax quietly on the floor for a minute or so. This quiet period after the voice exercise is often very healing. It can produce very real internal peace.

Dream Interpretation / Re: oriental lady
« on: October 19, 2011, 01:02:55 PM »
TFS – Yes of course you can say you fell asleep. I have had the experience at least twice and it was definitely a vision that I experienced.

Your vision is a blossoming of something in your life. Scattering the petals is a way of saying your path is being blessed, and the oriental woman is your inner self, your intuition telling you this is a good direction.

The bedroom can suggest a love affair or a marriage – someone is waiting for you there!

But my experience of visions is that they always show me – in symbols – what is coming in my life, though it can take a while to manifest.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Getting on a waiting bus
« on: October 19, 2011, 12:51:10 PM »
Patie - Thank you for telling me your dream. It seems from the images of your dream, perhaps from an influence form your sister that you got on a bus – which is about going along with the direction taken by others. But you soon realise that is not what you want and signal for the driver to stop – the driver represents the motive force behind the general direction. When you decide not to go in that direction, things looked black for you, and lonely. But in fact it isn’t going to last long. Maybe Canada suggests a big move but you do not go along with it in your dream.

So then you are off the bus, meaning that you have given up on going in the direction you see other people taking. If you sit in a state of mind in which you can drop your concerns, and ask yourself in the quiet place what YOU want that you can put your energy behind, what is the answer?
