Questions about dreams / Re: Tongue
« on: December 28, 2010, 12:30:51 PM »
Melissa – I can see what you mean, so I have upgraded the entry about the tongue.

In your dream the tongue obviously is being used for a sexual pleasure or purpose. So the fact that it falls off suggests a real loss. Also you were with a different man each time. As the tongue is used as a form of penis in kissing, it shows some difficulty – probably unconscious about this type of sexual pleasure.

I suppose the question is what feelings did you have about it? Was it some form of damage you did? Did you want his penis to keep – penis envy? Or were there other feelings? It would be useful to ask yourself what you want to do with the men’s penises now you have them. And do not be afraid to fantasy.

Dream Interpretation / Re: butterflies
« on: December 24, 2010, 10:47:46 AM »
Steve – This sounds like a wonderful dream. I don’t think the stings are anything to wonder about.

The butterflies are a wonderful thing to dream about, and they are usually representing the qualities in you to do with delicacy, transformation – as the caterpillar into the butterfly, and anything to do with uplifting feelings.

The stings are like injections, the introduction of something that can influence you. But as you can see, there was no harm in them, so I would see them as a blessing to influence you toward uplift and transformation.

Dream Interpretation / Re: numbers in dreams
« on: December 24, 2010, 10:23:22 AM »
Hi Mike - I have put some ideas here, but the numbers are usually personal associations, or the ones I have listed below. But 234 might be a progression - so continue 567 .....

Numbers can have a personal or symbolic significance. For instance we may have had three children, so the number three in a dream about children could be connected with our feelings or fears about them - but three has generally been seen as the troublesome triangle in love, or the child, mother, father threesome. So a number may refer to a particular year of ones life; the number of a house; the months or years that have passed since an important event; your family group - or have a general significance such as indicated in language - i.e. three’s a crowd; seventh heaven; nine days wonder, etc.

One One-self; a beginning; the first; unity; being alone; independence. Just one left: Near the end. Idioms: It’s all one to me; one up; at one with; one and only; one off.

Two Duality; relationship, indecision or making a decision; balance; male and female; two sides to an argument - or a way of comparing; opposition; the opposites such as light and darkness, harmony or conflict; parents and reproductive possibility. Chased by or fighting with two people: Two against one feeling, as may have happened with child and parents; feeling odds are against one.

Idioms: Put two and two together; two’s company; two timer; in two minds.

Three Triangle; mother father child; synthesis; creativity - the child springing from the two opposites - therefore sometimes represents the solution to opposition. Confronting three people, or out with two others: Facing collective will of others; non sexual friendship.

Idioms: Three’s a crowd.

Nine Pregnancy; childbirth; the end of a cycle and the start of something new; cycles.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Lost Dog Dream
« on: December 23, 2010, 02:10:14 PM »
Hello Horizon - I have seen this before, but here it is again on the forum.

Your dream has a centre theme of caring. It starts where you are preparing a meal. And you seem at ease with men – not at all hankering after – but easy.

A little black dog often represents something emerging from your dream-self; a natural feeling that needs your help in finding its owner. Again a caring action, in the middle of a concert, an apparent important occasion.

I would like to share a dream with you that is about caring. I will quote it in the person’s words.

I was standing in my wife’s garden and saw ferret running toward me. It was one I had memories on. It had a history of surviving amidst t great threats. It jumped into my arms and I saw it had a great scar running along one side of its body. It was healed and looked well, and obviously loved me.

Then I entered into the dream and felt that “It’s a heartbreaking struggle being a ferret. Nobody wants you. If you’re soft and nice it’s OK, but because of your instincts - if you’re a real live human being, that’s different. I’ve got this bloody great gash up my side. God, what it took to survive! It’s ripped me open, right from the shoulder down to the hip. I healed up though, but it’s left this mark on me all the time. It will never go away. I’m marked for the rest of my life. The important thing I’ve learned though, is, what am I going to feel about that?”

“Something did that to me - another bloody animal. It’s left me feeling I’ve got to be very cautious. I’ve got to be ready to bite anybody who gets too near. Okay, I’m not harmful. It’s a struggle, that’s what is left me with.

“Okay ferret, I’m picking you up. I’m really pleased to see you’ve come home. I’m looking at that wound. God! Christ, how did you get that - and survive? And grow fat? Just looking at that wound I can feel it. Such an eager little heart you’ve got. Such an eager little creature trying to live. So full of love - strange. Very loving creatures, ferrets. You’re a very loving creature. It was that love that kept you going. You were so eager to come to me, just like a dog. So full of love. I don’t understand. I can understand something struggling for life. But I don’t understand it coming to me - with love. Why does it love me? I helped it by trying to understand it. That’s right. I helped it (the natural life in me - the struggling, painful, striving, loving life in me) to survive and it loves me. My inner life loves me because I have tried to help and heal its pain and injury. It loves me!”

Sorry about this long answer, but I feel it so important to realize what the caring relationship with our own animal hurts and feelings can do. It is incredible healing, and our animal in us loves us and supports us. After all, our conscious self rides an ancient beast – our body – that many of us are so cut off from. I can show you dream after dreamt of people who ignore the needs of their animal and see it dying.

But you are a carer, and that is gift. You can do much with that love.

And the jaw to jaw – I am living with three dog on the house, and each time there may sure they get their face or jaw close. It is a renewal of bonding. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/brain-levels-and-dreams/#mammalbrain

Somehow you are making a link with a part of you, you did not recognise – the dark haired male. Obviously this is an educated guess, but your link with animals means that you can easily enter your dreams and find their truth.

Dream Interpretation / Re: friends from the past, beach and horse
« on: December 23, 2010, 01:23:29 PM »

Saintlaluna – I realised I hadn’t responded to this dream.

The theme is one of relaxation and a holiday feeling. Being naked suggests you do not mind people seeing you as you are, but still like to dress appropriately.

Then you extend your sociability by wanting a beer, but the still distant ‘sister’ is still not ready to be friends. I see that as you still having hard feelings about her. It is your dream and you could do what you like in it, and you do not want to get close to her.

The sea and the horse show you extending yourself still more. I wonder if you had been holding yourself back, and are now much more confident and taking risks. Because that is what the bathing in the sea shows; confidence, ease with Life flowing through you, and wanting to have more of it in touching the horse.

Dream Interpretation / Re: deceased brother
« on: December 23, 2010, 11:24:48 AM »
Missy – The first dream is a typical after death of family dream. You recognise him and tell him or remind him he is dead.

Your recent dream is in a different category. This time it is about your worry about your brother and what he did to die: “Please do not drink!”

Then the fact that he laughs says there is something funny coming. Then he apparently changes into a dog and barks at you.

So I think this is his way of saying not to worry about him. As in the afterlife you can take any shape, I feel he did it to get you thinking about him and that he was okay. Especially as the first thing you said to him that he shouldn’t drink. The fact you were in a school environment also says there was something you could learn.

Hi Diablolord – I realised I missed this dream on the first take.

I take it you got through that wave of disturbing emotions and feelings. Such things usually suggest a great deal of change in your life, and sometimes are felt a scary.

PowerMad  - Well, this seems to be a wonderful dream of instruction – a great dream.

I wonder if the glove refers to our first communication. If so it is showing a real path of growth. It is anyway.

The glove and hand are about what you create with your life, and although miraculous, it can develop into something that can control you. And I do not mean that is a superstitious way, but like habits can control us and are difficult to change. So the dream is saying be careful what you create – but be more careful of what you create with.

I see the Hagrid character as the big you, giving messages from your spirit. And the scene on the hill is a great picture of the journey taken and the one to go on. The pond is the place of birth, yours and mankind’s. It is about a great sharing at the beginnings of things. Then the hill, the climb to self awareness, and then the things you are now beginning to sense. The bird dying is the passage of wisdom. It dies because everything dies to change, as it does in the tree. The tree is your own potential growth; nurture it well, so it grows so that others can shelter under its branches.

The transformation comes by sitting and looking.

Jess – This is what is meant by our unconscious. Some things we bury so deeply because for the development of our self or well being we ‘forget’ awful feelings.

Why this dream has arrived is probably because you have felt good in the relationship, and so the negative things dating from early childhood can be met. In other words you are strong enough to face them. Such unconscious feelings are often from a young age when we felt lost or abandoned. It could have happened while in hospital, or your parents were called away. Trace the feeling backwards till you can find it.

I believe the best way to deal with such feelings and to change them is not to push them away, but look at them as if they are old and need to be renewed. You can do this by ‘living as if’. That is, living as if it is true that you and your boy friend are well matched and okay. For while the feelings will get worse, but by ‘living as if’ you create a new habit and you will be free of the feelings.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Bird, nest, family

Dear ACDreamer – This can be thought of as ‘henpecked’. The anxious mother hen in trying to protect her children and pecked at what was felt to be an intruder.

I am in a difficult position here as I cannot ask you questions, so I have to say what I say and leave it to you to see whether it applies.

Don’t forget that dreams dramatise to get a point over, but ask your husband whether he has felt henpecked or kept away in some form.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Another nightmare last night
« on: December 16, 2010, 02:07:22 PM »
Tamsyn – What have you been up to letting all these dinosaurs loose?

It isn’t at all silly. Perhaps you have been digging into yourself to let them loose. If not that, then you are meeting a very primal level of anxiety. But remember the images of the dinosaur are an aspect of yourself, as is the boss.

I will try to explain. When you were conceived you were at the very beginning of life forms. In fact we have to go to the very primal to reproduce. That may not mean much to most people, but in the dream world it means an enormous amount. Because from there we go through the whole process of evolution as we are in our mother’s womb. Again, most people say, “So what. I don’t remember!” But of course they are wrong – we do and such memories are seen in our dreams.

So when you learned language you forgot all the past. A new program was running that aided you to have the waking, self conscious awareness you have today. And that awareness is often at odds with what are the foundations of consciousness your present self is built upon. That is what is happening in the dream.

Most people today are at odds with and frightened of the primitive level of themselves. They know it as fear, anxiety, anger, aggression and so on. And because they have not been helped to grow from their real base self into an integrated human being, they have all these fears and tricky feelings.

It is interesting that you have put some of it onto the image of your boss. Of course you are a multilevel being, even though you think you are Tamsyn, you are a very ancient being. So you can call on an older and more powerful self occasionally. If you recognise that you will become a lot less fearful. Spread your wings and fly.

Brittany – Of course it has meaning – a lot of meaning. Obviously I cannot give you an exact meaning, so will have to say what I feel your dream is about.

At sixteen you have become more sexually vulnerable and active. This depending on where you live. Also you show a fear of the water by climbing out, another sign of vulnerability. So the attack is a full blown drama of your vulnerable feelings.

So it suggests you are very sensitive to male aggression or even any sexual approach. If there are any classes you could attend or a book to read about assertiveness training. After all, in a dream you could do anything you like. So why let him do all the action. Visualise turning the tables on him and let some feelings flow. Clobber him.

Size does not matter. Read the story of the little woman who terrorized a whole Chinese prison. It is the account of Gladys Aylward: The Little Woman.

Dream Interpretation / Re: kitten at my door
« on: December 15, 2010, 01:30:27 PM »
Saintlaluna – It means that you like cats or caring for animals. It also means that you have a mind that can pick up signals from EVERYTHING!

To explain this, we have it from the past teachings that we have a body, a soul/mind and a spirit. The body without awareness is like someone in a coma. The soul or mind is a receiver from the body’s impressions – and of course if you are really receptive – from the spirit.

The impressions from the body are all about a place, a physical situation, but the spirit is beyond time and space. Until the 1900’s most people thought that was impossible that you could know everything. It takes time to think and know. But without the limitations of time and space your knowing becomes infinite. But after 1900 it was seen that we each have an aspect that is timeless and spaceless. For more information about this see: http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/dances-with-wolves/

So it is that part of you that can pull out of your infinite knowing the information about the kitten. I used to be able to do this with pregnant women; I could tell them what sex their baby was – I was interested in parenting and so I pulled it out of the infinite. At one time I had a visionary experience of seeing a young woman I hardly knew, with a son with a crown on his head. I took it to mean she was going to give birth to a special child. It wasn’t until two weeks later that I had the opportunity to talk to the woman’s mother. After our business I ask her if her daughter was pregnant. She laughed and I asked why. She told me that she didn’t know, but the daughter was at the doctor’s finding out. It turned out that the woman gave birth to a boy.

Dream Interpretation / Re: me? dead?
« on: December 14, 2010, 12:03:07 PM »
Jessiica – It is not unusual to dream of ones own funeral. Here are some dreams from other people:

When I finally rush upstairs to get myself ready I see the hearse and coffin have already arrived and my husband and two children are - in the clothes I got ready - going down the path weeping. I think “Cheek! They're going without me." Then I realise the funeral is mine.

After viewing her own funeral, one person reports that she “woke up feeling empty inside and confused” and that the “dream made me feel more alive.” And in another dream, after dying, a student discovered that her body had changed into that of a wolf, and that she could see through the wolf’s eyes. When she awoke, she reported feeling “more alive than ever before.”

There can be various reasons for what is a recurring dream. One is that you have a great need to face death until you come to terms with it. Maybe you have a fear of dying.

But of course it could be a presentiment – though I doubt it as such prophetic dreams do not usually come twice. If it were a prophetic dream you would know for certain it was about your own death. It could also be a way of assuring yourself that you life is worthwhile.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Another complicated dream Tony....

Christian – I see this as a way of trying to see what quality you are. Going to America is going to be with the ‘big guys’ and so you were not accepted. I take it your sister is a person who cares for you and gave you a way to escape from the test of ‘measurement’.

So then you face it again in the exam, but you meet a younger feeling, a sort of regression to an earlier age of confidence. But you manage to stand aside form this and finish.

It should not be thought that such measurements are final, but only a present day assessment due to how you feel at the time. Perhaps reading the feature will help you to base your feelings of security on a Rock - http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/the-core-experience-part-1/
