Dream Interpretation / Re: Lots of eyes

PowerMad – Thank you for writing an interesting communication.

I can see some links with your dream. For instance the meditation is one I think of as self awareness. So you keep yourself aware of what you are experiencing instead of letting it all flow by. Andy Cohen is well known as a teacher or guide – and as enlightenment is fairly common in today’s world I am sure his claim is real.

And I am interested therefore in the black hole experience. I suppose I hadn’t quite got it all in mind in the way I have now. Your experience to me is a sign that you are getting to the centre of your Self. Call it a black hole, but it is better explained as ‘nothing’ that is everything. I say this because people are terrified of ‘nothing’ as if when you drop into it you will be lost. But the truth is that as you loss all you gain all.

I know that doesn’t seem make sense, but then life is a wonderful paradox. All opposites are true.

So I would suggest you continue to drop into the black hole where you become one.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Dream od walking down a long path
« on: November 04, 2010, 01:24:32 PM »
MimiGlover – The long winding path in the countryside doesn’t sound like an awful place to be. Having been on this path a number of times myself, I can look back and see it all ends okay.

But the dog is very important, and you should listen to it and follow. It is your instincts and intuition, so sit with it and listen – and of course walk with it. And it is important not to take such breakups too personally. Marriage and divorce are both natural events in a full life. But it is also important to keep a loving feeling going.

And who is the friend you are walking with? That sounds a great support and maybe more than that.

Suenhos – What we do not realise is that we are all very old and deep. Of course I am not talking about your waking and young self. But what we do not admit in our culture is that our young self has roots going back through time into the timeless. If we dip under the surface of our conscious self we will gradually find that old Self.

It is the ancient Self that such words come from. It knows everything. But why it has chosen for you to know them now I do not know. It would help if I knew what the words are. Sometimes there is a very important message in such dreams.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Walking on top of a moving train
« on: November 04, 2010, 11:30:22 AM »
Well Romanov – This one is much easier to answer. Having been involved in investments I know the feeling well.

The train is going along a pre-existing track, so it is apparently going where you want it to go. I cannot see any signs of disaster in the dream, unless you left bits out. But there is a problem. You could easily fall of the train, and it would be better to sit in your seat. So I feel this is about the anxiety caused by risking your money and you neck; and if you can cope with the anxiety it seems okay – except keep a watch on other dreams.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Squares and threes
« on: November 04, 2010, 11:04:04 AM »

Romanov – These are unusual dreams. I sometimes have dreams from people in which they use a square, but not so often and mixed with triangles.

The square is the universal symbol of earth, and also of the physical body, of enclosure.

And then the triangle or three is the perfect marriage of opposites – of a man and a woman – or of union with the soul and spirit. But it can show a marriage or union that produces offspring. But in your dreams it is usually three men – or only once the triangle of two men and one woman.

But there are so many different scenes, and the only thing that links them is the word perfect. So the nearest I can get is that there is a massive process going on in you about the seeking of perfection in the body and in life – perhaps marriage. Of course dreams can suggests that such perfection is not reachable in everyday life, but it certainly seems there is a great stress on the square and three. So I would suggest that you could try to find out for yourself. So if you imagine yourself as one of those perfect squares – and the  mind and imagination are so wonderful capable – then describe yourself as you are in the dream – the square. For instance you could start by saying, “I am a perfect square that Romanov has taken out of ……..” and see where you get to.

PowerMad – I wonder if you had read about the meditation of looking at a persons face through tube – or even at you own face in a mirror?

Also what were you aiming at achieving? And were you conscious/lucid in the dream?

Anyway, the end of the dream shows how all the images are you, and if you merged into one being I would have thought you would have known a greater view of yourself.

Otherwise I think this is way to create other dimensions than we usually known through our physical senses.

Here is a dream exploring different dimensions. “There was a man who constantly wanted to get at me or become near to me, and I was constantly trying to avoid him.  Being lucid I realised it was a dream state and so whatever he did I could undo it in some way.  For instance at one time he set up a thought process that put him with me.  In other words because the dream world is influenced by ones thoughts and feelings, he had the desire and thought that whatever I did he could be with me.  So I set up a thought process which meant that whatever he did he would remain distant. After that I went through a lot of areas to do with different dimensions, because he found a way each time to get at me again.  So in the end I realise that the best way was to integrate him into me; to become him so fully and take over him that the situation would never arise again. This works completely and I felt at ease with the result.”

Horizon – Gosh, there are so many threads here, but I cannot see any direct connections with the friend you met. What I can see are a lot of references about judgements – self judgements.

Also although you went over the lights there was no awful accident or screeching of brakes. So the dream didn’t judge that as important. But you have a great sense of right and wrong, and the feelings after you were trying to get away were creating a scene calling in the police – your judgements about whether you were bad or not.

Even your elder brother seems to be shacking his head. I wonder if he was saying, “Sister, why make trouble for yourself?” Because if you worry too much that is what you are doing. Obviously you need to keep your eyes on the way ahead, but to constantly think you are in the wrong could hamper your progress.

I haven’t got a very good grasp of the dream and your associations, but that is my best take.

ATrueWriter – Well, here we have a retelling or the wonderful story Beauty and the Beast. And that you have cast yourself as the Beauty who would give herself fully to help others is a very good comment on you. Please treasure the attitude and love that led you along the path of this dream. Do not be put off by whatever people may say.

This is about becoming a true woman, and transforming the urge to have sex into a caring for others in a loving way. It is you learning a great lesson in life, that life is not simple about grabbing pleasure and money for yourself, but about flowering into a mature woman. Flowering means you have grown or are growing from the seed of you, to become what you are inside instead of what the world tries to make of you.

I salute you young woman.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Snake
« on: November 02, 2010, 10:51:52 AM »
Saintlaluna – I am almost certain this is about you becoming conscious of the basic urges in you- the reptile brain as it is called. As this is an actual fact of your body, it usually represents itself as a snake or lizard, or even sometimes a dragon.

At times it can be a dinosaur. Whatever it presents itself as it is a very important part of you. Your first meeting with it promoted fear. Fear and anger, sexual impulses and habitual responses to events are the very nature of that level of ourselves. Obviously if you run from it you are not bringing your basic instincts into your present. So you may be subject to sudden fears or angers. So make friends with it and try to understand it in whatever way you can.

The fact it looked at you means you have become aware of those parts of your feelings.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Daytime phobias that become nightmares
« on: October 28, 2010, 11:48:10 AM »
Leslie – It is my opinion based on experience helping people face waking fears or nightmares, that all such fears have a realistic basis. The basis is usually a fear started when we are pre-verbal, or at a time when we could not meet the intensity of the feelings stimulated.

I know many people say drugs or other methods work best, and I can agree with them on that. The reason is that many adults cannot allow themselves to feel that degree of fear or pain. I worked for years with a man who, as we were getting near to a core fear would get up and leave the room saying, “I don’t come here to feel awful, I want to feel good!”  Unfortunately one needs to go through the difficult feelings to really heal it. It is similar to vomiting, difficult but necessary to get rid of the poison. He eventually met his central fear after about ten years.

But on the other hand I have seen people go right through the first time they delve into themselves. For more information on this see these entries: http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/animal-phobias/ and http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/nightmares/

If you can find a sympathetic partner you could try using the Peer Dream Work method. http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/peer-dream-group/

By the way, are you left handed, as that can be a factor?

Hi Midlander - I am still pondering upon the Ark of the Covenant. It seems from researching it that it is a promise made between Life and a people who we are the descendants of. And it is a opening to the power which is resident in all of us.

So  wonder if you have taken to time to imagine yourself as it and seeing what you feel.

Also I find it interesting that an Arabic women is involved. History says they carried of the Ark, and its resting place is now seen as holy. By holy I mean it has more than wider significance - as Mary has significance because she represents motherhood - a universal truth of Life.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Elephants & Babies
« on: October 26, 2010, 01:18:42 PM »
Leslie – As you say – a lovely dream.

Opening scenes are important. So the mixture of apartment and office suggests you are easy with what you work at. Your responsibility seems to be about a new part of you. The baby can be a new phase of life; a new idea; new activity - as when we say someone has a new baby, meaning a new project or business. This ‘baby’ might be part of you that did not have a chance to be ‘born’ or express before. Or it may be things learned in a rich life that you could not put into practice because of circumstances. The baby in this aspect is the ‘you’ that could have been if you had been free from problems and past hurts.

I suggest the above because it doesn’t have any signs of being about babyhood trauma or difficult feelings. That you feel she is not yours simply mean you cannot yet identify with her as part of you. A dream trick we play on ourselves.

And the baby elephant is a special gift, one you identify with more fully. It is a baby, but as you know, it can grow into enormous strength. And that these two are your responsibility seems to say that the new baby, as she grows, will use the enormous strength of the elephant.

I do not know what the stripes mean, except they are unusual, and so may be saying the ability to reach out for your needs is an important feature of this dream.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Memory loss?
« on: October 26, 2010, 12:58:45 PM »

Tsaju – The classroom is referring to what you got or get from schooling. Not necessarily the lessons, but what you are actually learning.

That this is followed by memory loss suggests there is something you didn’t learn, or learned in a shocking way. What I mean by this is mostly we do not know who we are because we suffer a form of amnesia. It is a memory loss that in our culture is assumed to be normal. We fail to remember our childhood, our infancy, our birth and conception, yet these are all available to us. So the dream may be saying to you, “Remember who you are.”

The airport could also mean you have been trying to get away, to fly away from what you are facing in yourself.
The strange thing is that if we ask ourselves who we are, the only answers we can come up wit are descriptions of our body, our ready made beliefs, or some formula that doesn’t satisfy. Very strange. See  http://dreamhawk.com/poems/ground-zero-the-psuedopod

If you sit with a partner asking this question, it may takes days before you cut through all the things that do not satisfy until there is a glorious moment of illumination – when we know who and what we are!

But it is worth going backwards in your dream before the memory loss and asking what you have gone to so much trouble to forget.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Lovely / Sad dream

PjwDreams – Thanks for coming back with questions. Because of time I only manage to do a sort of shorthand version often, and reading through I wonder how much of it makes sense.

I believe the being a musician is only a side issue. And I do not mean that it is not important. I see the crown, which you should put on now if you can value yourself enough, as a bridge, a link, between your little waking self and the wonderful potential you have.

PJ, you can see from your dream what you could have been – and still can be. So do not hold back because of doubts and fears. It was those that assassinated the Queen that you are. And it is not that you are blessed above others, we all have a wonder in us – Christmas isn’t about a special baby, it is about every baby. Unfortunately we are educated in a world that believes we are not royalty.

The crown sings a heavenly song because it is a gateway to heaven, and so the music pours through it. Put it on and let it pour through you.

Christine – You set me some challenges – so here we go   :D

The tub of water is something of a paradox. Is it because it is a communal bath yet you are alone – and that it is about cleansing yet you are immersed in black infection. Does that mean you feel isolated and not good company because you have black infection on you?

If your son is an aspect of you, a young and probably withdrawn and difficult to relate to others; and you want this part of you to get up and go to school[ it suggests a big change in the way you are dealing with your own childhood difficulties.

Prostitution can mean many things. It can mean the person has no self confidence and this is a way of getting it. It can mean a way of manipulating another for money. It can mean a way of helping another human being find self value – and so on. In the dream you are engaged in it yet fiercely deny it. I wonder if you need has led you in a direction you are waking up to and want to change. Please help me with this and the other things I say. I always led the person to describe their feelings, as doing it like this without feedback is strange.

Prostitution can also be described as selling out on yourself – your best. “In other words when you go against your inner feelings or standards because money or acclaim is involved.”

The hay cart can perhaps be seen as a next step, but still sleeping with a mans instinctive sex drive – the dog. Letting it go is a move toward recognition and change.
Here again, this is a big step forward in this dream sequence. What do you think is meant by "Don't you wish we could just let go?"

And then "Come on, let's get to work" is a real change and has a ‘lets do it feeling’.
