Half human, half dark bird in dream of one who committed adultery

My husband and I are struggling to salvage our marriage (we have three girls) after discovery of his long-term affair. He rarely remembers his dreams and therefore was disturbed after having a dream where a large, half human, half bird appeared outside of our home in his dream. I believe the bird was walking away from our home. He is dealing with guilt and shame, but I am unsure if this symbolizes something else.
