Dark woman/Anima help.
« on: July 26, 2013, 05:07:02 PM »
The dream is split into three separate sections.

The first section:
I am learning to play a video game, but I am in the video game. It seems almost real. There are certain places we can go to and farm experience. Other places are too dangerous. One such place is on the way to my house. There are thugs all around. I must stay quiet because I am the only Caucasian male in the neighborhood and the gang wants to dismember me.

Second section:
I am in the car with my brother and his friend. His friend is driving and drives off a bridge. On the way down we want to open the doors in case one of us drowns but almost as if by magic the car floats and hovers to land safely. The people on shore watch and seem to applaud. We walk to his friend's boat. I am worried because his dad is wealthy and I am not. We get to the boat and my fears are confirmed. I am instantly looked down upon. I have a bag of tools on the boat. Someone kills the father's mother and throws her off the boat with my tool. It wasn't me but the father counts my tools as I get off the boat and accuses me since one is missing.

Third section:

I am walking out of my second floor apartment. I turn the corner, it is night, and everyone is out and about in a city partying and howling. It's a hoot and a holler. I walk around the corner and a black woman who is fairly attractive caresses me with tears in her eyes. We are falling in love but I cannot go back with her because it is like a west side story. She lives in Shakespeare blvd, or town, if I remember correctly, which is considered an impoverished Ghetto where there is danger from gang violence.

Conclusion: I don't know what to make of this three pronged dream. Can anyone lend their time and interpretations? Thank you.

George – The video game you are learning is dreams. See  http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/your-dreams-and-understanding-this-site/#Computer

Of course the game is the game of Life that we are all learning to play. An important part of it that many fail to understand about the game is that the controls, although all the action seems to be outside one, is that the control centre is inside you, in your inner world. See http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/inner-world/

If we take time to analyse it, it is obvious that our attitudes and emotions, our beliefs, skills and convictions are all the time controlling our actions. And that is true of dreams. The sense you have of thugs around you and being from a different class or skin colour shows up throughout the dream series. That is okay in the waking outer world, but it is no way to deal with the inner world that we all live in. That is because the inner world of dreams has totally different rules. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/what-we-need-to-remember-about-us-3/#Hurt

So you need to revise your views of who is best or who will hurt you in terms of the outer and inner world. The views you are controlling your inner dream world with could tear you apart – inside. Thank you Tony from the bottom of the depths of my heart and soul.

I'm going to start by channeling my passion for writing into reading and studying a bit of Shakespeare, something I've put aside or demonized because of a devaluation. I have devalued some of my uninhibited aspirations because I cannot see any useful(monetary) gain from it. I'm an accountant who dreams of higher levels of expression which I cannot seem to find an outlet for. I don't particularly have a passion for accounting, but I'm trying desperately to become certified so I can support myself well enough to pursue other passions. Something I have not been able to fully achieve as of yet.

I always begin learning some form of art, whether it be visual, or auditory, but because of the required time that I've invested into studying for a difficult exam, I've been repressing the aspirations of my soul.  This is because I lose inspiration in the respective art since I cannot put in the time to improve on a regular basis. I had to quit guitar to a degree because of pain in my body from both studying, and playing.

I must learn that whether there is an immediate use for expressing myself in this way is irrelevant. All that matters is that I seek wholeness in the pursuit of expression, and make it an enjoyable process. I must transform my ego so that in the process I am able to disengage with art forms I do not truly sincerely value or that are not write for me for whatever reason. Most of all, I must begin a regiment of some yoga.

If you have any insight, thank you, and God bless, either way, and sincere thanks from the bottom of my heart and soul, again.

GeorgeSimple – Thank you for all you have written.

As for any insights, here is one. Pleasure is a small plant that can grow into a tree with wonderful fruits. I do not mean doing things that give pleasure, but the little things that happen and light up small pleasures in you. When you notice them give them space and time to be felt in your whole body. They are so full of promise.

In addition to Tony's wonderful words, I was hoping to add for you this, if you would like:  Find things you like to do - anything that excites you to do - what you feel connected to, and learn to gently weave together your needs to provide for yourself (daily life, job, etc) and this which you find exciting; your heart and mind; soul and body; dreams and everyday thoughts; creativity and logic; passive and active; female and male; dark and light.  Your Joy will follow naturally as you find this daily rythym and it all begins to melt together.  Slowly as you find you are able, you can weave in (spend more time) doing that which you love.  My feeling is that you are desiring to integrate and a are perhaps a bit daunted by the task, perhaps.  It is natural to want to conquer the fears/anxieties with logical self-demands  - become an accountant, learn an art, immediately begin a yoga practice...this invalidates your creative side however....try alternate nostril breathing and/or any breathing practices that feel comfortable to start to gain some balance in your mind and overall.  Let your creativity be it's own guide insteading of placing goals on that part of yourself.   Namaste.
Best of luck.  I hope this helps.
