recurring dreams of dirty and messy home
« on: April 22, 2011, 04:34:24 PM »
Hi all!
I' m new here and I'd like to share a dream I've had several times.. I see my home (it's not always my real home but in the dream it is) and it is very messy or dirty.. sometimes I discover new rooms in the house. last night I dreamed that my room was very messy, with piles of clothes on the bed and that an ex boyfriend of mine vomited on them...

Any suggestion on the interpretation? I think that it might mean I don't feel good about myself or that I have hidden feelings that I consider dirty maybe???

I'd like to hear of your thoughts...thank you all

Marianna – Yes, it does suggest that you do not feel good about yourself. And the ex vomiting says that you feel bad about the mess he left in your appearance.

But it seems as if you are a person who is growing and discovering new parts of you, new abilities or talents – shown as the new rooms.

The feelings shown in your dream are based on habitual responses built into you from passed difficult experiences. They may then deepen by living out the habits. But that is not who you are. They are things plastered onto you and can be stripped off. True it isn’t easy to strip off all the awful paintwork put on us, but every little bit that comes off reveals a wonderful you. Thank you so much for your response... There is much truth in your words, as I had depression some time ago... I went through therapy but I had to quit due to financial reasons. I feel better now, but still I haven't gained back my self-confidence. I know that my depression was the result of my hiding my feelings and I'm still working on it.
The article you suggested seems really interesting and useful and I'm giving these techniques a try.
Now that I gave you some more information about me, maybe you could add some more comments, if you had the time.

Thank you again

Marianna – I have thought about what you said, especially that you could not afford therapy. I understand that so well because I had to find my way without it too. Bringing up five children with low wages taught me to rely on Life, and Life taught me step by step. Not just with dreams but with powerful experiences. It also taught me not to rely on trying to earn lots of money. That is why I give me experience freely – Life/God gives to those who give.

So I have arranged a series of things you might find helpful. I am not suggesting you read them all, and take your time. A new life takes a while to learn.
