A Dream That I Have Seen Many Times
« on: October 09, 2014, 01:50:25 PM »
I can remember that i have seen a dream too many times in my life that i am flying in the sky like a bird, flying like swimming in the water. It's quite interesting and rorty experience. i want to know why i am dreaming like that. What is the meaning or such dreams according to various religion. Read that somewhere "Having difficulties staying in flight indicates a lack of power in controlling own circumstances. "

PhilSmiths - People say such things without ever having actually explored - not interpreted -  a dream of flying. Flying is an act of confidence unless using it to escape from difficulties. Flying as if swimming shows that you are still learning. It is something people do as they learn how to cope with their inner world. See http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/inner-world/

What does it matter what various religions say of flying. Most of them were written in periods where people had very different mind sets or worldview. For instance Christianity was written for a largely farming community, and so much of the language made sense to them, but it largely not understood today. Also much of it was stuck in symbolic statement.

But you can find out for yourself if you learn how. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson and http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/questions-2/#Summing

â€˜During childhood I learned to fly in a long sequence of dreams. Each linked very clearly to the last. I would go to the nearby churchyard and in the beginning I would run along as fast as I could then jump and just manage to extend the jump by a great effort of will. In subsequent practices I managed to gradually extend the jump for many yards; and eventually I could skim along indefinitely. The next stage though was to extend my height, and this took enormous effort of will and body. I made active swimming motions and climbed, but only held altitude with great and constant concentration. With further practice still, this clumsy mode of flying was left behind as I learned to use pure motivation or will to lift me into the air and carry me easily and gracefully wherever I wished. At this stage my flying was swift, mobile and without struggle'.

After reading the bit about flying again, I am sure the easy flight is achieved by a clear sense of confidence that you can take off and fly. the swimming movements arise because one lacks confidence.

I have often likened it to the feelings when you are a kid the things your parents do not like you doing is like making swimming movements because you are not independent enough. A strong feeling of independence brings easy flight.

Tony, this is quite right, i have lack of confidence and also not independence. I feel bondage with everyone.  Don't know the reason but, it's true

Phil - Maybe these are not for you, but I suggest them just in case. A friend who is intelligent and a go getter has terrible times with relating to the opposite sex.
