Nicole - Since you were tiny you have been fed information that the Devil is evil and can harm you - this by parents, the church, from films and TV. I myself was taught such things and had a terrible time growing beyond them. So, what happened to you at 10 years old that started such dreams? Maybe someone said something to you or you had an experience.

I take it you have read the entry Devil - http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/devil/ but you also need to read http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/archetype-of-the-devil/

But another explanation of the Devil can be found in http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/secret-of-time-and-satan/

But if you can do it the best thing to do is to use http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson. The devil in your dream is not like real life, because a dream is nothing like outer life where things could hurt you, but is an image like on a cinema screen that even if a gun is pointed at you and fired it can do no damage – except if you run in fear. So all the things that scare you are simply your own fears projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind.

It is also important to realise that every image, every scary or terrifying thing, is taken place inside you, in your mind, as you sleep. This means that every awful animal, every scary thing or person, is created out of your own fears and must not be seen as outside you as happens in waking awareness. The problem is that we are often scared of or frightened of actually experiencing our emotions and so they confront us in our dreams. Avoiding them or controlling them is like running away from oneself – there is no escape.

So being the person or thing will make a big change.

Dear Chrizzyturtle - You must realise first that dreams are nothing like real life and the things done and people or about someone they know or a strange new person or situation they automatically believe the dream is about that person, situation or animal. But when we think of our friend or partner our thoughts are not them – just our thoughts and feelings about them. So dream images are ways of communicating via our association's not actual things or people. In the world of dreams our most intimate fears and longings are given an exterior life of their own in the form of the people, objects and places of our dream.

Three of the main things about your dream are people killing themselves, blood on you and your feeling of guilt. But some years ago I had a form of dream which started to lead me to feel I had blood on my hands. However, it was puzzling and slightly disorientating to have such a strong feeling that I had killed someone. The feelings were just as strong and real as any I had met. But when I explored the dream I knew who the man was I had killed - it was me! It was the wonderful potential I had been born with, the very best of myself I had killed, murdered. He was my youthful sexuality I had suffocated to death, helped by the tenets of a religion that was supposed to be teaching the way of life.

So the blood on your hands and body suggested you are involved in the killing of something, and that is why you feel guilty as I did. But I can't find any clues as to what you have killed in yourself apart from it involving a male and female. So you can find out for yourself by being the man and woman in your dream by using http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson or http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/water-wonderland/ which is not as direct as Being the Person but will work.

Meanwhile ask yourself when have you ever felt regrets about something it feelings of guilt.
