A set of gold stairs and on each step a levitating translucent light orange orb.

Chris – Well, you are certainly upping the game as the saying goes.

I have orange describes as -  Blending or balance of emotions and intellect. Orange is a blend of red and yellow, and as such much refines the basic instinctual energy or red with the life giving yellow. So it is often used to indicate refined or transformed sexuality or urges, and perhaps greater wisdom. Its link with fruits such as oranges and apricots also might link it with fruitfulness. It therefore suggests health and energy along with a calm mind. Also with warmth and easy feelings.

The steps leading up are also an invitation to climb and also an indication of your progress

Remember though a dream is something that comes from a deep part of you; it is something that is working upwards toward being conscious. As such it often, like a seed, takes time to break through to the surface, and then it has to grow. So often dreams are not recognised for their full meaning until later – sometimes months or even longer. The dream images are attempts to communicate something that has probably never been thought about or even been consciously thought about, so has never been put into common conscious thinking before. It is a communication from the depths, from beyond thought, and so any interpretations that are given by thinking may completely miss the point.

It must have produced feelings though. Go with those.

Well the colors were inviting and I would say I felt intrigued by the image.

Last night I dreamt I was at a bus stop and was wondering what time the bus would come.  I read some posted signs and there was no information.  I was about to walk to the phone booth to call the bus company to ask when a big man stepped into my path.  He had on a uniform, trying to read the patches on it, possibly MTA, he might have even been a bus driver and he said something like "I could take the sign down or shut it off."  I took it to mean that I could get on the bus and he could make the sign on the front "blank" as if I had no destination.  Sometimes they also say "out of service" if they are on their way back to the garage.

I woke up thinking Men Took Authority of me over myself...or Massachusetts for M as I and my family are from there.

Back to sleep I then dreamt of a sealed liquor bottle on my kitchen counter.  It looked like Jack Daniels but it was turned so I could not see the label.  Then an upside down open coffin, no lid anywhere.  The interior was white and tufted...it looked like it would be comfortable.

Chris – I am not sure if what the Big Man said was an offer to take you where you needed to go or him being an officious male. But big in a dream usually denotes the emotional and mental impact of the thing, as ‘It was a big thing in my life. It was bigger than both of us.’ Important; relationship – as when we feel small beside somebody with a ‘big’ reputation. So it could be important.

The whiskey bottle turned away and the empty upside down coffin might mean, turn away from spirits because it might lead to dying. But the comfortable look, I wonder whether you ever think of death as a great comfort.

Yes, I definitely felt like the big man was butting in when I would have been able to figure out things myself.

I do not drink, so I am not too worried about dying from anything alcohol related.  But I will think about death as comfort, or not.  I do think for some people drinking can be a sort of death or comfort.

Chris - Don't forget though that you carry all inside you. "When we think of our friend or partner our thoughts are not them – just our thoughts and feelings about them. So dream images are ways of communicating via our associations not actual things or people. In the world of dreams our most intimate fears and longings are given an exterior life of their own in the form of the people, objects and places of our dream."

Recently I have been seeing how much power we have in the people and animals in our dreams. So perhaps the Big Man could become a real power of help if you 'domesticated' him a little. Maybe tell him to his face what you feel or think. If nothing else, it will get it out of you.

Hi Tony,

My dream life has been quiet lately.  I was remembering a while back you had asked me if I wanted to talk about my sexuality.  I was wondering what you might have gathered from my posts.

No rush to respond.

Chris – Your dream life becoming quiet I tend to think is because the pressure is off to get you to attend to so much inner work; and also it often shows you are working on a new theme with less urgency.

I have gathered from your posts that at the beginning you were feeling a great deal in regard to what happened in your home life – the male dominance that you suffered. You also felt a lot of the same sort of inequality in the work place.

Your relation with that appears to me to be radically under change.

When I worked for twenty years as a therapist, I began to notice that in the start of the sessions a person would talk at length about a particular thing and as they changed the things they mentioned changed. I notice a big change in what you mentioned. Your subject matter is not so ‘heated’ and also you have dreams with very promising symbols, suggesting a big change which will only slowly become a daily experience.

But something that impressed me is that you have stuck with the Forum looking at your dreams for ages. It shows persistence, and also your comments on other people dreams were a fairly new feature.

The mention of talking about sexuality I cannot recall which post it was, so am uncertain of its context.
