Bad dream a little freaked out!!!!!!!!!!

I had this really weird short dream and I'm just wondering what is the meaning." I dreamed that someone had told me my sister was sick and I was looking through papers, and there was a person standing across a table from me, telling me I was going to die in a hit and run with a smeark on there face smiling, I asked the person when? They asked me to raise my palm in the air so I did, they replied 2012 smiling and giggling as they looked at something on a wall, I then said to the person are you serious, the person all of a sudden  became my roomate and said no, I was just playing." I then woke up freaked  out I told my fiance my dream and she told me not to worry about that and just pray and it was only a dream.I called my sister and she told me she actually called off of work due to a hang over and that freaked me out I mean it was not that serious but she was sick in a sense right? the little bit  of research I did death in dreams are positive most of the time in dreams, but does it mean the same thing when some body tells you your going to die in the dream? I don't worry about my dream alot, But I just would like to know what this could mean or is it just a bad dream.The hit and run part freaks me out. Car accidents and hit and runs are one of my biggest fears, I always pray to be safe before I drive, Please help, I'm just freaked out a little,Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Rob – I feel that the switch between the news about your sister’s death and your own warning was a way to get your own fears of death going. But of course it was just a joke and so there is no indication of your death.

About your sisters death it is again probably a way of facing up to the fact that we are all faced with death. Death is a fact that we all face, and it is no good running away from it in our dreams. That only makes it more scary. Because you CANNOT run away from death you should meet it face to face. If you do that it will transform into the beautiful part of life it is, instead of the horror we have been taught to see it as.

It is wise to pray for your sister as an insurance policy. Praying need not be seen as a religious exercise if you do not have religious beliefs. It can be seen as a reaching beyond the boundaries we usually hide within, and reaching out for the MORE.

I feel alot better after I read your response. I did not know what to think or how to feel, I did not know if it was a warning of some sort or my paranoia in my subconcise kicking in about car accidents, because I have been in  a few and survived some brutal ones and lost one of my best friends due to one, and I think about hit and runs every day,and the OCD does not help and I drive alot. I'm glad it was just a joke,but what a heck of a joke but thankyou for easing my mind Tony, this is a great sight and it does give people relief and insight I'm glad to be a member Thanks to you I can stop all the freaking out now  , Thank you again

Do dreams just express you or your emotions and what you feel and do in real life and recall past memory? for example, Like if you die in a dream of if your told your going to die in a dream is that always a symbolic meaning or could it be warning for you to be careful in real life? just wondering ( I also posted this)
