Dream Interpretation / Re: Loving and Refreshed
« on: October 07, 2011, 12:40:38 PM »
Muwami – The dream is, I believe, one of a series where you are learning to feel and know love more deeply. The hotel I see as a break from your normal everyday experience.

The young man is the male side of you that you will eventually merge with to find love that you can experience and give to others. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/archetype-of-the-animus-jungs-view-of-the-male-in-the-female/

You leave the door open because the sort of love you feel is not seen as something to be hidden. Bt here the interesting thing occurs. The Alice type creatures are aspects of the unconscious, because you are obviously making what was unknown and unconscious into the known and lived. That is why you then go into the subway – the lower levels of your awareness. And there you meet thieves and killers.

They are the things in you that have in the past tried to steal love and to kill it – and of course anyone who lacks love will try to steal it from you or try to kill it through poisonous things they spread about you. People act out love with empty rituals and think it is love, but of course it isn’t and they know it.

It is not an adieu.

It looks like you are getting results from whatever you are doing to grow and find the fruits of your labours.

Keep at it, it is good.

Landimunnik – I feel again and again that people need educating as too how their mind works, and that is far more important for many people that maths. So I feel if necessary to say things over and over, and ask people to read - http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/what-we-need-to-remember-about-dreaming/

Here is a little bit of that feature: So I feel a need to point out some facts about life – your life.

Some Facts about Dreaming and Life

1.   Dreams are a magical mirror in which your innermost hopes, longings, fears/terrors and genius are made real. They are made real as external environments, people, animals and relationships. Unfortunately this wonderful virtual reality world is usually felt as dealing with other people, as externals, like something that can damage us, or something like the Devil that can possess us. But the greatest truth I have found in exploring dreams – not interpreting them – is that we are alone with ourselves in the world of our dream. If we can acknowledge and admit that our terrors we dream are actually our past hurts that we have not faced presenting themselves for us to heal; that the ghosts and demons that can rampage about our night are embodiments of our fears and ideas presented to us as truths; that our wonderful visions and insights are an expression of our own infinite potential, then we can walk a pathway to finding what we really are.

So please learn to face your fears, they are only emotions. If you do not face them they will continue to scare you.

Christine – I get so overwhelmed by emotions when I enter someone’s dream – as I have today with yours.

I had an amazing dream last night that was revelation and is too long to describe, but I mention it because it showed me point by point the mistakes I have made in the long past, and that the difficult things in our life are not there as punishments but in order that we learn something and gain strength. And I am sure you are learning and gaining strength.

I am not sure about the figure, but will write what I see. The greyness is that of loss of hope, and the man is the death of hope.

The leaves are a sign or dying too, but a sign also of a season, and seasons change. This is autumn in the dream, and if you take time to bury that body, in your imagination, near the tree the leaves fell from, then it will be taken up into new growth.

For we are all flowers growing from ancient roots, and often as people we forget what we are and where we grew from.

Also please get hold of a copy of the book The Brain that Changes Itself by Norman Doidge. It tells about the almost miraculous things being down with the brain. Please read it. There are several mentions of autism that might be very helpful.

« on: October 06, 2011, 01:38:22 PM »
Landimunnik – I would certainly listen to the advice. Maybe it will work out or maybe not, but it is worth trying.

Don’t believe that you cannot write a book. When I left school I couldn’t even recite my ABC. But I wanted to communicate with people and wanted to write. (Actually a good astrologer told me I could take it up). So I took a postal course and send in my first piece. He pointed out that I needed to see how writers present their work. When I compared I hadn’t got any paragraphs, no commas and even full stops were lean.

So I saw that the person reading what I had written wouldn’t be able to enjoy it and I got to work. Obviously it helps to spell well and make it readable, but we are capable of learning. I sold the first thing I then presented to a magazine.

Now each of us has a wonderful something inside of us that has such fantastic ideas and information. So do not be put off.

General Discussion / Re: Dreaming in colour?
« on: October 04, 2011, 09:35:13 AM »

I do not dream in black and white - as you say that would be very strange. But I am in the dream world without particular awareness of colour. I hear lots of women who dream in colour, and I don't think it is because you are a photographer, I spent many years as a photographer. I think it is because women constantly think in colour, notice how other people dress and what colours they wear and whether they match.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Recurring Dreams of Childhood Home
« on: October 03, 2011, 01:31:53 PM »
Kluce – I have the impression, though you didn’t say it, that the house of the last dream was one that you liked.

Of course in our dreams we often build something we cannot acknowledge is ours – after all it is your dream and who created it? And I see the house with its larger rooms and opportunity to live an expanded life as the changes you have made as you have matured. And if you accept this house as representing yourself, it will make a difference to the way you feel about yourself.

You said, “I'm sure these changes have lots to do with my dreams.” And I see that is right, because your dreams of the house have moved from a sort of fantasy to a realistic representation. And your role with you mother cannot help but influence you.

Dream Interpretation / Re: Clouds crashing into water
« on: October 03, 2011, 12:43:02 PM »
Shana – I remember reading a book by Laurens van de Post about his life in Africa. He tells a story about when Bushmen saw a porcupine walking about during the day. This scared the Africans as the porcupine is usually a nocturnal creature, and if it walks in the day something is wrong and they need to know what it is.

Your dream has elements of that. Clouds pulling up water is unusual, and that it happens twice in your dream is doubly unusual. So nature is telling you something, and do not be put off by your mother, she was brought up in a world where wrong things were normal, and so they just accepted it. But you are from a different generation with eyes a lot more open to what is happening. The fact you responded so well to the events that overtook you shows you are ready to face the unusual – and that you saved the baby shows it is not only your own neck you are looking after. Those are qualities that are very necessary for facing the future.

So it seems as if your life, in fact many people, are about to face unusual events that will call on the qualities you displayed. You need to be someone who will adapt to major changes. See http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/the-vision-of-tomorrow/

Healing Dreams / Meeting Dakota
« on: October 03, 2011, 10:25:06 AM »
I think I would like to mention how Dakota and I met. And I think the best way is to quote pieces from my book House  of the Ancestors. So here goes!

At the time my conscious thoughts about Dakota were that she was a likeable and unusual middle-aged woman.  She shared my interest in the inner life, but as far as I could understand, was coming to this from a very different direction than myself.  She had motivations and responses I did not understand at the time.  I felt I was failing to find what I call a “living connection” with her.  Some of my attempts and approaches seemed to fall flat.  At the same time I was giving her opportunity to drop the tentative contact we had.

So one day I dived into that ocean of mind to see if I could find her. And so I moved among the great creatures of this world, occasionally finding myself lost in and possessed by one of these leviathans, until liberation was found again by becoming naked awareness once more.

Then suddenly I felt the presence of Dakota with me in the ocean.  But I could not see her, and called out, “Dakota, can you hear me?  Are you aware of being here with me?”  There was no response, and I wondered if I was creating the feeling in some way.

But just as suddenly as her presence was felt everything changed.  In that realm where thoughts and emotions take on form, and form itself is fluid, Dakota and I faced each other as magnificent wolves.  And I, in the manner of wolves, put my head low to the ground and tail high in the posture of invited play.  Then we danced around each other in mock battle rushing headlong, bumping, rolling, pushing shoulder to shoulder, or breathlessly nose to nose.  I grabbing a stick in my mouth and throwing it in the air to distract her, or feigning indifference.  She, at each new twist of the dance, came back at me, ever resourceful, ever full of vigour and intensity.  And in the dance we discovered each other, tested strengths, explored responses, and found a living connection.

Then, when the dance was finished, we changed forms and expressed other qualities to each other in the shape of the Native American Indians.  As such I stood before my lodge as the elder of my tribe, greeting her and saluting her qualities.  For she wore the feathers showing her achievements as a wife maintaining her own family lodge; as a woman in her culture who had carved a position for herself in the world of work; as someone who reached beyond her own nearest kin and gave of herself.  So I saluted her and invited her into my lodge, and she accepted.

It was with those experiences freshly imprinted on me that I emerged from the ocean eager to tell Dakota of what had arisen.  I carefully wrote the events in my journal, then copied them to send as an email.  But just as I was about to send, an email arrived from Dakota.  Its title read, “Dances with Wolves.”  And the message was a quote from Nietzsche.  It said, “Those who watched them dancing thought they were mad because they couldn't hear the music.”

I still weep when I read those words.  As much as I have roamed the immense ocean of mind I am still a man of my culture and penetrated by its blindness.  To dance as wolves beyond closed eyes was one thing, but to know it was shared in some way released a blossoming wonder that is still growing.  We can believe things as a defence against our own insecurities and littleness.  But to experience something that was real within, and have it confirmed as an external fact is an extraordinary thing to confront.

By the way - The empty white house is a sign that you know a way to deal with your fears. It is empty because it is not filled with memories and old patterns of behavior.

Sorry if I was a bit preachy yesterday.

Dream Interpretation / Re: dogs
« on: October 01, 2011, 02:56:34 PM »
Well Nuishyboy - It seems that this connected with stress. Dogs eat their young when in a great stress situation.

But I think  it is the dog who is stress by being no longer the baby in the household. So I suggest  that you sit with your dog and get him to  look at you. Then explain to the dog that it is a different situation and is now needed to guard the baby and not try to harm it. Praise him for being a help in the house and is say how it is really needed in the new role. As you do this hold mental image of what you are saying.

Dogs, like us, need to have things explained to them - as of course babies also.

Silly old you. As I said to Les recently, "Every so often a spontaneous action would happen - but then I would grab hold of it- so to speak - and try to make it happen and improve it. It was the kiss of death."

So what do you make of what you saw?

Dream Interpretation / Re: Mountain of bones in dream
« on: October 01, 2011, 02:42:15 PM »
Jane – I feel that there are a lot of dead bodies in the pyramid. So I sense that instead of just standing as an abstraction, apart from the bones you need to fill them full of Life.
That may sound strange, but try it. Join the pyramid and be there, feel it and cherish it. Bring whatever you feel is most alive in you as a light or flame into it.
When I was working hard renovating a great big dance hall to turn it into our house, I developed a pain in my right are so bad I went to the doctor. He told me I had tennis elbow and it could never be cured. He added that I should avoid exertion.
I thought what a load of b*******s he was saying. I know my body has the ability to heal itself, but I didn’t know how. As I was working to renovate our house, and it was difficult, and the pain had continued for six months without any change, so in LifeStream I asked what I could do. The answer was quite detailed. Holding in mind the pain in the arm I waited for the responses to arise from within. Soon, spontaneous fantasies and ideas bubbled into awareness, almost as if someone were explaining the situation to me. I was led to understand that during the past year I had not only been working hard physically to renovate the building, but because of divorce, family conflict within my new relationship, plus the change of home, I had experienced much stress and anger. During my sawing, plastering and hammering, I had discharged much of this anger and stress. As with any hard work, the cells in my right arm had broken down, but the anger and tension had prevented the cells from regenerating adequately.
As this insight emerged I could see what a shrewd summary of my recent unconscious attitudes it was. The emerging explanation went on to say that each cell is a tiny individual life, and in the body, they each take on a particular task. Some live as workers in the muscles; some are thinking beings in the brain, and some act as transformers, as in the liver. Each cell depends upon the others to co-operatively share food, oxygen and pleasure. The cells in my arm didn’t mind the hard work, but they also needed to share the pleasures of eating, music and love making. I had been unconsciously deluging them with anger and tension, and denying them laughter and relaxation.

So when I ate I would consciously allow the pleasure I felt in my mouth to be felt by the rest of my body, particularly the right arm. When I made love, I attempted to relax and let my whole body feel the pleasure, not keep it in the genitals. I frequently concentrated on my right arm, relaxing it and allowing pleasure felt elsewhere to flow to it. Within a week it was completely free of the pain, and the problem has never returned.
