Native American
Natural wisdom; self acceptance and wisdom based on this awareness of ones links with the world and the intuition or wisdom of the irrational or unconscious. It can represent realisation of tribal wisdom and the link with intuitive initiations into stages of growth and entrance into the house of the ancestors. For some people it links with feelings of being dispossessed.
If you live in America, you may have all the above associations of being touch in with nature, but some people dream of being attacked and threatened. And this is probably an expression of meeting the alien in you, or a fear of strangers. The Indian can also be a guide and a wise person. See See alien – Reaction to the unconscious
Example: Dreamt that a young modern Red Indian was talking to me while walking in London. He said he would show me one of the secret nerve blocks used by the shamans. He pressed quickly the right side of my throat and tapped my forehead. Then he walked backwards away from me a few paces, and he appeared to shrink in size and diminish in age. I immediately thought this must have been the physiological method used in their magic. I seemed to remember having been shown it before by another Red Indian. He didn’t have to walk away, but looked young and small anyway. To end the effect, the Indian tapped the base of my neck in the thyroid area, and tapped my buttocks.
Useful questions are:
What are my feelings about the Indian or being an Indian?
What am I gaining or getting from the Indian?

i had a dream i was repeatedly being sent to like highschool at 28. i never knew my mother had dropped out. in the dream i asked her and she said she did. i later asked in real life and it was true. next i was upset and put on a black jean jacket with native american attributes. and very large native american head gear with featers. om the jacket, light blue gems stood out the most and is all i remember. there was also a text from this girl who i explained “i dont believe we should have ever met” (i told her that in real life) in the dream she sent me what i believed to be a positive text sauing good luck and a turquoise or light blue metal soirrounding a glass circle pendant filled with sand. and it had a moon and 2 stars inside of it. im so curious as to what this could all mean.

But my feelings are that your dream is trying to show you how to become a fuller person than your mother is. As we grow up we fail to see how much we absorb from our mother or father. Being taught to speak appears to be like a computer program which when loaded into the human brain changes the way the brain and our awareness works.
The life of Helen Keller throws an enormous light into children’s ability to learn. Helen was struck dumb and blind at an early age when she had only learnt one word. She lived like an animal without self awareness until the age of eleven. Then she was taught by a deaf and dumb teacher and remembered the first word and quickly began the climb to become a human person.
So without your mother teaching you to speak, and there are about 6500 languages in the world, so each of them has to be taught in order for us to develop into a human being.
Unfortunately, as your dream told you, the things passed on to us from parents are not always positive – I never knew my mother had dropped out. In the dream I asked her and she said she did.
But your dream held other wonders because it showed you that you have a deep connection with the Native American culture. You didn’t have to learn that because it is a heritage born in you.
You were given a sign of eternal life as well as a reminder that you have a physical body that was born and will die – the circle of life filled with sand. The moon is also a reminder of the cycles of change, and the stars of eternity – the great gifts you were born with.
20 years ago I had a story told to me of a young brave who met a maiden. The entire story was told in the voice of an old man. Very detailed and intriquet. It’s been with me all these years. It was in a dream. That same night I forseen the death of an aunt. I am of Cherokee and Souix decent. Any directions I can take to understand this?
Patrick
Pay – I believe the voice of the old man is how the collected spirit of your ancestors was telling you of your future life. You were the maiden if I am right.
Because of your heritage from your Sioux background you have the ability to foresee important events in your life – to dream true. See https://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/opening-to-life/ and https://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/using-your-intuition-1/

Starbaby – In dreams you enter a virtual reality world where everything – in this amazing dream world – is real. But it is not the same as reality as in the physical world. In this dream world you could even have sex, and it would feel even more sensation than in the physical world.
But your dream is created out of your powerful desires to be wanted and loved. The dream shows that you are capable of feeling or doing it, but to make it into a physical reality you must take risks, reach out for a man you fancy, and realise that not everyone will love you, but by trying you have a much greater chance of success. See http://dreamhawk.com/relationship-sex/learning-to-love/
I had a very long dream with three different parts.
I saw a group of 5-7 native americans, all with large feathered headdress on. White long feathers, the small ones black and red. They were standing in a circle playing feather ball, with long- feathered bats and a quite large stone. Later one indian demonstrated them a square wooden bat.
In another part of the dream a man was operated and recovered very quick. Then he was trying to shoot his doctor, when leaving through the gate, and the doctor as well pointed a gun at him.
In the third part I was flying with a plain somewhere overseas, there were a lot of other women, we went to a big event and there I found out, will be much more events I will have to take part. I realised everybody was better dressed then me, even the half-black girl, who was dressed in a dress, made of my blue/silver sitting room quilt, looked far better dressed then me. Later I messed up travelling back, had no money and missed the train.
I had a dream that i saw a native american with an old face he had two axes in his hands i thought he was about to attack me so i pulled my pocket knife and tried to cut him but nothing happend to him,
than he gave me one of his axes looked at me and said come look for me than the dream ended.

Avi – Individual human consciousness is like an island in a huge ocean in which there are countless other islands. Above the surface of the water, which is like individual waking self-awareness. In this there is a sense of separate existence, with definite boundaries where the shore meets the sea. Beneath the surface however, one island is connected to all other islands. The land stretches away under the waves and rises here and there into other islands. So, it is thought, personal awareness, beneath our everyday consciousness, shades off into a connection with a collective unconscious we all share. Through this connection we may be able to arrive at insights into other people otherwise denied to us.
We have been taught to believe that we are not connected to others. Yet many modern physicists, working with the information arising in experiments with quantum theory, tell us that our view of the world is based upon our blindness, and is very limited, and through its limitation, unreal. Yet this view we take to be the REAL universe. Apparently distant objects, or people, are intricately linked in an immediate way. There is no separate existence.
Okay, that a log way of saying that because you are an American, living in California, your unconscious mind easily links with the ancient culture of the Native Americans. Your dream self, which can link with that, show the ancient wisdom of the Native American symbolically as a Native American with an old face.
This wisdom is offered to you but you felt fear of being attacked and maybe killed. But in dreams we cannot be actually injured or killed. We dream of being killed but we remain alive, even if we feel great fear. This was shown by him not being injured by your cutting.
He offers you an axe which is, for the Native American, the great symbolic gift: a friend was presented with the shaft, carved as a pipe, while an enemy was presented with the deadly head of the axe. It also represents the unity between the white man and native of the land. He asks you to come and look for him. You can do this inwardly and outwardly.
Inwardly by becoming him, using http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson Or outwardly by seeking a teacher of the ancient wisdom.
I keep having a dream about my car accident every day around 3am i wake up from the same dream takes the life right out of me. It doesnt matter how the dream starts it always ends up with me going around a corner then rolling the vehicle i can literally feel the car roll just like when i wrecked my car a little over a month ago. It wont stop
Dixie – Your dream can mean something other than you doing that in your car. It shows you going round a corner – showing you are facing the unknown and feel you will not able to face it. It seems a big change is happening in your life, but you have always met such huge changes as you grew up – the massive change from babyhood to childhood, and huge change from there to teenage. But as an adult we often tend to cringe when faced by change.
If you think this is a prophetic dream –such dreams only show you a possible future if you carry on living in the careless way shown by the dream – going too fast round corners. Learn the lesson and have a good day.
This dream was very brief. I dreamed I was walking down a country road at dusk. I was holding a piece of paper in my hand. about 12 feet away from me I saw a small herd of white buffalo running. I saw small white buffalo and large ones and had the feeling they were mothers and their children. I noticed that two of them had loose dark brown hides thrown over their backs. Any ideas? Thanks!
I dreamt that while my family and I were camping and I was approached by a raccoon. I was sitting in a chair and the raccoon jumped into my lap and curled up as if it knew me. The raccoon was very lovable and returned my affections with licks and cuddles as a dog would have. At the end of the dream I decided to bring it home with me as a pet. Everyone, including the raccoon, seemed to be okay with it. What is the meaning of this dream?

Jake – First of all you returned to a natural way of life – camping – which means the natural feelings and responses in you. Please read http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/brain-levels-and-dreams/ which explains the natural animals that are part of you.
Because you related to nature, nature – the raccoon – related to you. It shows a wonderful change in the way you see and relate to the nature inside you and outside you.
To gain even the beginnings of insight into your dream animal as a part of you, you first need to remember that you as a person are a tiny spark of consciousness. You are a little bit of self awareness riding an incredibly ancient animal that you call your body. Remember that your body has formed from cells and genetic information that has gradually developed over millions of years. It holds that information in it unconsciously. To actually make a living connection with your dream animals see http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/
