Rain

Generally rain symbolises emotions, release of feelings.

If the rain is gentle it is usually a relaxing experience and suggests a release from ideas and intellect. If it is a downpour and storm, it is feelings which may drench us, as in sadness or grief about a friend passing. If the land is inundated, then our common sense is lost to sight in the emotions released, and danger may threaten.

But rain may also show a return of feelings after a long spell of dry intellectualism or drought of feelings.

Some dreams show a massive downpour and feel that they have to wade through a flood, making it difficult to move; also it can be dangerous because visibility is poor. This suggests either emotions or natural events make it difficult for you get around as usual. A heavy falll of rain can also can be a start of very big changes in ones life and feelings.

If the rain is entering ones house it can signify worries about ones living conditions and comfort.

Rain can be a cleansing experience when it clears the ground and plants grow because they are watered. So it then represent a cleansing of worries or thoughts and emotions.

If a flood or huge rainfall washes your house away or other things it may be that it is about a way of life, an attitude that has been radically changed. I can suggest a new beginning and a new and better way of life.

Example: I was walking past a large building site which had been excavated for foundations. Rain had filled the excavated pits and a large lake had formed. As I walked past I could see ancient primitive creatures rising out of the water. One of them, a large dinosaur, came toward me. I was scared and ran away. The dinosaur followed and started speaking to me. I couldn’t understand what it said. Don.

Example: I happened to rub or scratch my flesh and felt like bits of something on me. I looked and saw they were maggots. They had come off the blanket. I tried to brush them off, and it was like pieces of dirt or scum coming off the body, but I could not seem to get rid of all of them. Afterwards I saw my sexual feelings rise like a thermometer. This didn’t clear the maggots, but I felt impressed to rise thermometer right up to my head. I watched the liquid rise. Then it came out of my head like a fountain, raining down on my body. This fell upon the maggots, which fell off me. As they did so they became seeds that grew in the ground.

Hi! Well last night I had a dream, a very nice dream. In my dream, I remember there was a heavy rain coming. I was with my fathers wife and my siblings. There was a lot of thunder and lighting, once the rain started pouring, I felt a very good sensation about it. I felt relieved. I did not get wet, we were outdoors getting covered by a building. I also saw how a lighting struck the floor right in front of my eyes. After the rain, the day turned very beautiful with sunshine. I really would like to know what does this dream mean? In reality I love rain, I love when I see lighting and hear the thunder it makes me feel happy.

I had a dream that I had just gone to make my hair at the salon, suddenly as I turned to leave, it began to rain, though brief, I was beaten by that rain. Thereafter, I saw myself in the midst of extended family members where I was feeding and blessing them . Please, What could this dream mean!!

my daughter passed way 3 months back after she was born, so i have terrible dream ever since i dream of a rainy night i was actually with her in pram walking in the street the road was wet and my shoes were dirty as i walk but the rain wasn’t too much and she wasn’t happy at all its like she wasn’t my daughter so confusing

I had a dream in the morning between 8-9am that I am at my usual work and things are good there but outside it is raining and that too very heavily.
Being inside a house I was not that worried about the rain but I was thinking how would people manage on road as they can hardly see anything.

I was not getting wet by the rain and my work was how I wanted.

In my dream I healed two friends with skin problems after we headed to our dorms on our way it started raining so everyone run to their dorms I didn’t want to fall because the route they took was muddy so I used a different route on my way it rained cats and dogs and there was a storm and the ground was muddy so I mange to climb the stairs leading to the science lab to wait till the rain stops but I couldn’t get to the last step so I relaxed on the last but one step

I was extremely happy and excited when it rained, it poured very heavily , it ws actually a storm lots of thundering and lightenings .i was telling my companions look how beautiful it is o my god .it was really beatifull . I usually do not have dreams. I was inside my house. There was a very heavy rain, the rain was coming through the roof like water from a shower head. It was all over the house. Since I just had a new roof put on the house, I call the roof installer telling him they did not install roof properly, the rain was coming into house from roof. I dreamt that we were in our nicely finished and opulent house (new home we just got done building) and one of the rooms was leaking water as if it was raining outside and rain was coming through many different spots but in one room only (believe it was the wine tasting room/cellar, and no we dont have a wine tasting room). The feeling was positive as in “the builder will fix this” but just concerned about the woodwork type of concern. I dreamed of my two feet is like put with rope as medical test, doctor walk with me in the rain its flooding and hospital ceiling is pouring with rain. After that I dream like children were haunted by group of people children is trap in the huge boat trying to escape flowing in the big river. Lastly me and my sister go shopping but there are men trying to robbed us we run run and rode in owner type jeep car helped us to escaped rain is puoring and flooded as well. I want to know why you feel the need to attack ppl on your site. I was told by my mother that you sent her a very nasty message when you could have just answered her questions (which were very innocent and valid). Instead you degraded her and told her awful things. Yes some things were spot on but you missed details that easily explained a lot and made you seem rude and disrespectful

    Lee – Thank you for writing and telling me your feelings. As you didn’t give any indication of what dream was dealt with I cannot properly reply.

    But some dreams do point out difficult things in a person life. If it was myself who replied, I only try to say what my understanding of the dream points to. I have no wish to attack – but often our dreams do point out things that distress us.

    Please let me know what dream was dealt with.

I have had a recurring dream two nights in a row now where I am trapped in a scary unfamiliar rundown house and it becomes inundated with something at various points throughout the dream. Like last night for example, it kept becoming full of crazy huge insects and spiders and then there would be less for a time, then they would come back. Tonight it was rain and storming that would keep coming and going and it was very frightening becase there was also this feeling of being trapped and there was a terrifying entity after me. The rain was remarkable in the dream becase it was coming through holes in the walls and dilapidated windows. Also, most of this took place in a bedroom and there was a girl with me who slept in the room (like a sister) but she felt more like a version of myself.
