Freeze Frozen

This usually shows that you have been frightened of expressing your emotions, or that you have denied a part of your memories, feelings or sexuality. It might be that you emotional natures has no developed by being in a cold environment. You, or someone near you, has been or is cold emotionally. It can also mean you miss or need affection or warmth. So it is about being unfeeling, but sometimes painfully unfeeling. To become cold emotionally and perhaps sexually. To need affection or warmth. To be unfeeling, but sometimes painfully unfeeling. See: cold

It depicts what is meant by the term cold shoulder, where we shut off any display of warmth or compassion. It also therefore shows the dreamer as having ‘frozen assets’ in a personal sense.

But often it means that the dreamer has shut off a part of themselves in a sort of cold storage – a freezer. Something what is frozen can be thawed, and so the frozen things can depict potential, personal assets not yet used or brought to life.

Frozen can also mean stillness, a quietness of mind and emotions.

A freezer would depict either your ability to repress your feelings, or ability to store something for the future – like denying spending now so you can save for something in the future.

Icicle: Frozen male sexual feelings.

Iceberg: Similar to ice, but may suggest frozen potential.

Body locked in ice, perhaps dead: Deadening of all our feeling reactions and enjoyment or motivation.

Idioms: Break the ice; cut no ice; put on ice; tread on thin ice.

Useful questions and hints:

What am I unfeeling about at the moment?

Is there a part of me frozen in the past and unable to move on?

Is this about stillness and a sense of peace in me?

I’ve had this dream recur twice. I dream an authority figure…not sure who, maybe my grandfather…has me put my son in the freezer as punishment…I think.. although there’s nothing in the dream that warrants punishment. No one is angry, no one thinks this is weird but I wonder why I’m obeying the authority figure instead of NOT putting my child in the freezer. My son also obeys although he says ” but I’ll freeze” or something like that…mildly spoken. He gets in and I shut the door. Then I wake up. What does this mean??

Hi – I am sorry I cannot keep up with number of dreams sent at the moment. But I have described a way that you can get to the meaning of your dream. It only takes a little time to work at knowing the meaning of your dream.

So please click on the link and find your dreams meaning – http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/getting-at-your-dreams-meaning/ or http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson

But Dawn – It is not your son your are freezing, but When you think about a friend or a person you meet, you are only taking in your thoughts, impressions and feelings about them. So many people do not realise that they have an inner person equally as powerful as the external person you know. You have taken in millions of bits of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences along with all the feelings or problems met by meeting or living with them, and they are what makes you the person you are. The memories and experience we gather unconsciously change us and are not lost. It is part of you and is symbolised in dreams as a person or event. Such an inner person can appear in dreams because you still carry the memories or impressions of them, and so they influenced what you hold within you.

So you are putting your inner son into a stasis. To find out why use the Beign the Person.

I recently had a dream where started off somewhere unfamiliar and somehow ended up on a an old rickety bridge. The pieces were slowly falling apart after each step then I stopped on the bridge it fell and me with it. I sunk down to the very bottom of the seabed and I could swear I felt the ice come over and slowly kill me until I was eventually dead. I’m just curious into what this means? Thanks

I just had a really weird vivid dream last night that i was being cryogenically frozen, doing cryo therapy. Which i have never done. It was really weird how vivid it was as far as other people and conversing and what not. I was talking to this lady who was helping me get into this freezing box and i tried to lay there and get comfortable. Been thinking about it all day

I had a dream that I was home but not in a very familiar place, some guy was there but I don’t know who he is because he wasn’t my boyfriend, there were two pools of water outside the house and at one point I looked outside and the pools were frozen which was very weird to me, then my mom showed up out of the blue, I looked outside and the water had frozen so solid someone had walked across it and there were foot prints on it, my mom was in the kitchen and there were loud noises at that point I woke up frightened and confused, what could this dream mean

“-or that you have denied a part of your memories, feelings or sexuality.”

No don’t fucking do that Liberal shit. You’re not born gay, it’s a mental disease cause by molestation and other traumatizing things.

Don’t say that someone can deny their sexuality, especially in a dream, because you’re born normal, but you can be corrupt in childhood.

I had a very strange dream. This morning. I was stuck in the Revolutionary times in the late 1700’so was with a girl who was apparently a sister(which) I don’t have in real life. We were friends with this handsome young man in his young adult life. 18-23 and we were raised in the colonies together. He asked me in my dream to marry him but I told him no because I was not ready. He was tall slender, had brown hair and blue eyes. So he decided to fight for the red coats instead of the colonist. I remember seeing him while walking with my sister and looking into the lake I see him under the frozen lake and he’s dying he looks up at me one last time and dies while I’m trying to get him out of the frozen lake. Then when I get to where he was his body disappeared. I remember crying hysterically in my dream over his death. When I woke up I was confused. So I went online.

I’m my dream there was a bad blizzard and me and my brother went out in it to gather supplies for my family. When we got back we discovered all but a few had survived the cold. We found them under blankets huddled together for warmth with the dead family members facing outwards frozen and glaring at us. We got the ones who survived back to normal but they changed violently and attacked us. Then I woke up.

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2016-06-03 11:32:39

Dear Chad117 – Your dream reflects the efforts you took to survive a difficult emotional situation.
Freezing your feelings – which was probably a decision you took unconsciously – was considered by you at that moment as a better option than letting your anger and aggression out.
Perhaps a better way of expressing the last part of your dream is; “We got the ones who survived back to normal and (not but) they changed violently and attacked us.”
It is normal to find a way of expressing those feelings and inner conflicts that did not have a chance to be expressed and released before; http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/anger-angry/ and http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/anger-dealing-with/

I had a dream…It wasn’t too long ago…maybe a few months…this was before I came into contact with a woman I could only have dreamed of…and lost not long ago (a few weeks.) And in this dream, was in my old home back in Illinois looking outside at the sun from my office. And then the sun simply blacked out. Within minutes the entire sky went black. Then the air began to freeze, as I looked outside I saw as the landscape utterly froze before me. Eventually it froze the home, and I could FEEL myself being incased in ice…I…don’t know how to describe it other than sheer, relentlessly forceful, and lifeless…I didn’t feel cold…I could see it so clearly, it was…it was utter shock and awe.

But…today…I had another dream…

Today, in my dream, I was looking outside from my bedroom, and someone was in the hallway…I don’t remember if they said anything, or what they were saying. I just know someone else was there…it was night time. And as I turned back to the window, off to the side of the window, and I couldn’t see it fully…I saw brilliant orangish-red glow, that turned into a brilliant all encompassing light that covered everything. Suddenly I could no longer feel anything but a crushing weight of absolute power cover my body (I felt heat, but it wasn’t hot.) I struggled to move but it felt more futile to try to move than to accept the weight. When the light faded there was nothing, not even me.

Then I opened my eyes…

In my dream I’m in a frozen like. It’s not just the surface frozen, but the whole lake. There is another boy with me and I’m trying to push him to the surface. The boy is alive. At the same time someone on the surface is using a drill to make a hole and break the ice. I can hear the voice of a man saying that “the most powerful drill is needed to penetrate the ice”. The drill almost touchs the boy and penetrates him, but I manage to get him away. I then start pushing the boy to the surface with my feet. I seem to do this with ease, I can see the daylight from underneath the frozen lake. As the boy reaches the surface the dream ends. I should point out that there was no anxiety involved in this dream, I felt calm.

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2016-01-04 15:01:18

Dear Tim – What I see in your dream – and please explore it yourself as well http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dream-yoga/ and http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson – is that your dream starts with becoming aware that you have deadened your feeling reactions and enjoyment or motivation. You work on freeing the boy from being locked in ice by working on it from the inside out and from the outside in. What do you associate with that approach? http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/association-of-ideas-with-dreams/#Working
The man with the powerful drill could be a symbol of your own powerful skills and/or attitudes that enable you to make changes – to break the ice – and/or the help you receive from someone in your waking life.
“Being touched and penetrated” can be a symbol of the breaking through your emotional barriers, and you did not allow it to happen (yet).
Did you feel it was not the right moment yet?
In your dream you have decided to get this part to the surface first; to bring it into consciousness so that you then can use your conscious mind and abilities/skills to decide how you want to proceed.
Perhaps you felt calm without anxiety because of this decision you took to bring it/the boy to the surface first before you allow a “breakthrough” of underlying feelings?

I had a dream that i found a body in a freezer and I tried to revive it. What does this mean?

-uneasy 2015-10-17 10:53:29

Hi! I had a very disturbing dream. I dreamt I got lost in the woods with my oldest child, who’s almost 5 years old. It was cold and snowing. She kept telling me she was cold and I tried keeping her warm. We were both freezing. I kept thinking to myself that I needed to stay awake and I can’t die otherwise she’d be left alone. Then I remember looking down at her and she had frozen to death in my arms. Then I instantly woke up. This dreams been really bothering me. Any idea what it might mean?

-Ness 2015-09-17 8:06:52

I had a dream that I was on some kind of beach or island with others. They were people I was familiar with in my dream although after waking up I’ve no idea who they were. All of a sudden the ground is now completely frozen. But I spot that some bits of the ice are unsafe and not very stable with water underneath. In some places the ice breaks apart and is starting to melt so I’m desperately going to and from everyone trying to take them to a safer bit of island where the ice is thick to save them from drowning or freezing.

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2015-09-25 11:22:50

Dear Ness – Dream Images are all aspects of your mind and your abilities – your potential – and most of us make the mistake of believing our dream images are all something outside of us. In fact they are all images underneath which are amazing destructive and/or constructive powers.
What I see in your dream is that the people you are with on the island reflect an approach to Life which is not helpful; Life rather flows; IT wants to be expressed and it can’t when it is frozen.
    See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/energy-sex-and-dreams/
These people could be a symbol for certain beliefs you have or certain habits.
You do not recognize the people once you wake up, because many of our beliefs and habits are unconscious – http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/beliefs/ and http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/habits/
Habitual responses can be etched deeply into us; like the habit of wanting to move away when Life pushes us to grow.
    See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/personal-growth/
We tend to feel safe with something that is familiar and to come out of old thought/belief/habit patterns requires breaking free from what is also called the familiar zone; “In some places the ice breaks apart and is starting to melt.”
Ordinarily, we might also call this the comfort zone, except that it’s not particularly comfortable, simply familiar. The struggle to liberate yourself and to allow for change and transformation requires breaking the ice and it will make you feel unstable for a while.
The difficulty in this pursuit is that old thoughts/beliefs/habits literally try to defend its territory, as it makes you believe that it’s too dangerous to venture outside the familiar zone; you believe you have “to save them from drowning or freezing.”
I feel it will be helpful – apart from learning to become more aware of your beliefs and habits http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/self-observation/ – to explore for yourself what it is that you are afraid of. Is it “The Unknown”; moving beyond what is familiar?
You can use a tool which is called Power Dreaming and explore whatever arises when you imagine yourself back in the dream while you are awake and when you decide to not move away when the ice starts to break and melt.

-Snowman 2015-07-27 10:30:15

Hi! I had a really odd dream. It was kind of “old time” like medieval. Cinderella came to my mind. Anyways in my dream it felt that war was starting or something big and bad happening. People were running headless and I saw ground freezing. Ground froze all over and fire followed it. It wasn’t big flaming fire but just a pale small layer dancing on ice not burning it. In a dream I just stared the ice spreading on fire.. I believe it means something but not sure what it could be..

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2015-08-02 11:16:02

Dear Snowman – The way I see your dream is that it reflects how you deal with a conflict within yourself and/or a conflict with other people.
The moment you become aware of the conflict, parts of you – symbolised by people who are running headless – lose control of your emotions.
The ‘R’ (reptilian) brain deals with those responses and actions, behaviours and attitudes that we express without much awareness, or erupt from us because of an external stimulus. It has great strength, but also can lead to powerful anti-social behaviour and psychosomatic illness. This is because it links intricately with our unconscious physical and psychological systems and with our self-regulatory functions.
So it throws into consciousness things that might detract us from a direction, a decisions or a relationship. This might not be rational as far as we are consciously aware, but is nearly always based on past experience that throws up a red danger signal, or a ‘yes’ response. There are no moral judgements at this level of our awareness. The ‘R’ brain simply gives rise to acts in ways it has learned that enable survival, reproduction and food gathering. In actual lizards it has a limited range of behavioural responses
One of the best known expressions of this brain is the ‘flight, fight or freeze’ response in survival situations and of course panic attacks.
    See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/brain-levels-and-dreams/#reptilebrain
