Island
Something that has come from the depths of your unconscious, but is now established in everyday life. A part of yourself cut off by emotions or isolation or lack of communication. Feelings of isolation or loneliness, or your attempt to cut yourself off from others due to your feelings about them.
The island can also suggest the way you feel safe from the world, or feelings about being trapped.
The loneliness could be as one might feel when retired from work, isolated from a situation you once knew. Being on an island could signify being independent. The island might also signify a small sphere of operation or influence in your life, or feeling trapped; or conversely, feeling safe from the world through introversion or independence.
One can I form an island of charm through belief which stands against commons beliefs like fortress on an island.
The collective unconscious is seen by some thinkers, like Jung and Sheldrake, who see individual human consciousness like an island in a huge ocean in which there are countless other islands. Above the surface of the water, which is like individual waking self-awareness; in this there is a sense of separate existence, with definite boundaries where the shore meets the sea. Beneath the surface however, one island is connected to all other islands. The land stretches away under the waves and rises here and there into other islands. So, it is thought, personal awareness, beneath our everyday consciousness, shades off into a connection with a collective unconscious we all share. Through this connection we may be able to arrive at insights into other people otherwise denied to us.
Swimming or getting to an island: Move to independence.
Desert island: Attempt to ‘get away from it all’ – or feelings of not connecting with others.
Island in stormy sea: Personality traits such as independence and self assurance that give strength amidst difficult emotions and turbulence.
Large island with other people: Isolating oneself by involvement with a particular belief, group of people or problem.
Example: A woman in red tells me about an island which is at our left side in the sea, not too far from the beach. It is an artificial island she says, which was created by using sand from the bottom of the sea. I look at the white sand in the clear water and I am surprised about the way the island was made. It is a very small island and it looks beautiful with a lot of trees and plants. I see many boats in front of the island. Then I see what looks like a bridge from the beach toward the island, but the bridge is just beneath the surface of the sea.
The island is a place of beauty that has been brought up from the depths of yourself and is now apparent to you, but you do not know yet how to live on it – make it a permanent situation. But there is a hint in the bridge that is invisible being underwater. Yet if you dare to actually walk to it you will find you can do it. Instead you try the sailing boat – probably because you have experience of it. But you can posses the island! Use – Secrets of Power Dreaming

My dream began with me in a boat with a girl and a boy. I can’t remember the boy or girl. We just left the island to go another island. When we got there, there were a lot of people. They looked like tourists. Night came fast. I realized the boy and girl left me and i had to go back alone. I found a boat. The boat was very smaller and was shaped very weird. It was so small one person could only fit. It was dark and the ocean was rough. But thankfully the small boat had a motor and a sail. The dream ended with me looking at the stars between two large mountains in the ocean and saying “those are the brightest stars I’ve ever seen”.

Breann – You dream is a story of romance. The girl and boy are you and a partner – nearly always when people dream about someone they dream of they automatically believe the dream is about that person. But when we think of our friend or partner our thoughts are not them – just our thoughts and feelings about them. In the world of dreams our most intimate fears and longings are given an exterior life of their own in the form of the people, objects and places of our dream.
So a boat trip is the voyage of your life – in a boat you are committed to whoever is in the boat with you – so a relationship. You sailed away from loneliness, an island, to another island where there was a lot of people, suggesting a more social life. But the relationship didn’t last long and you left alone.
This wasn’t a relationship because it was a one person boat. This may not be about your future, but it is about what you feel is your future.
The bright stars can mean many things. They are an influence from the hugeness we are born from – the cosmos. It is pouring into you, as light does from stars. What is influence is you can find out fir yourself by using http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson
Remember though that dream images are like icons on a computer screen – you have to ‘click’ on your dream images to make them come alive. Thinking about them doesn’t work. You need to open yourself to the magic of them. To make them into the wonderful gateways they are you may have to learn certain skills. And what’s in it for you? I have had two dreams, both had the same thing in it. It’s a small island in the middle of the forrest surrounded by a murky, very fast moving, very deep, and apparently hot river. The first time I had a dream with it in it I was alone and I was suck in the river trying to get out and after lots of time I eventually did and I ended up stuck on the island alone. The second time I’m traveling with people to the island and this time I don’t go in the water and I warn others and tell them of the last time I was there of what happened. Then everyone disappeared and I was alone again this time on the island remembering the last time I crossed the river by accident and how hard it was to get out of the water.

Leanne – The small island in the middle of a forest with fast flowing river expresses the wonderful way dreams merge meaning in dreams.
The forest says that you have achieved awareness of your own natural feelings – the uncivilised part of you. In knowing it, it opens you to two new realisations – you begin to realise that you, we, are dual beings. As my daughter describes it – We have one foot in this physical reality and one foot firmly planted in the ‘other’. But remember that a dream is something that comes from a deep part of you; it is something that is working upwards toward being conscious. As such it often, like a seed, takes time to break through to the surface, and then it has to grow. So, often dreams are not recognised for their full meaning until later – sometimes months or even longer. The dream images are attempts to communicate something that has probably never been thought about or even been made conscious before, so has never been put into common thinking before. It is a communication from the depths, from beyond thought, and so any interpretations that are given by thinking may completely miss the point.
The duality is shown by the island. An island is above the surface of the water; which is like individual waking self-awareness; in this there is a sense of separate existence, with definite boundaries where the shore meets the sea. That is our duality that many are not aware of.
The fast river is something we all experience but usually fail to understand. Each of us are immersed in a ‘river’ of constant change. If you think about it you have been carried, pushed, impelled by this current as you were moved through babyhood, childhood, teenage and adulthood. It is the current if Life. This current then carries us on through old and through gates of death. All the time we are faced by decisions, and each decision directs us on a different path, helping to create our future; and this force of growth and change is often fought like hell by many, as we are afraid of such changes, especially getting old and facing death.
That is why you felt the river was hot and to be avoided, because although you dream is showing you amazing truths you are trying to back away from them. The message is – don’t get out of the water. It is fruitless thing to try. See http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/opening-to-life/
I was on the side of a steep mountain. It was very muddy and I couldn’t climb up. My friends had already climbed ahead of me and left me. I saw a rescue helicopter flying above me and then I woke up. Pretty scary.
I woke up from a dream about 12hrs ago. I don’t remember much, apart from when it was nearly over. Basically a guy was driving in a red car and i was sitting in the car aswell, he drove up a couple floors but it was like a square that you had to drift around corners to reach the top. As he drove up everything went white and i ended up in the ocean in the same car with a girl, the car was floating in the water and was a red convertible. We were drifting towards an island and there were many sharks and piranhas in the water. I said something to her that i can’t remember exactly, sometimes like, i like this it is relaxing. She says, my feet are cold, i don’t like this, the water makes my feet cold. something like that, but my feet felt warm and the water made the car floor cold i guess. As we got closer to the island i saw those sharks and piranhas, i said something like, so many sharks and there’s piranhas.. I can’t remember what she replied. ..And what i am saying isn’t accurate.. We arrived at the island and just appeared on the island without even getting out of the floating car. Then we walked a little and saw spider webs, a cliff with giant spiders down a slop of the cliff. I told her to not get too close, they’re fast , you should stay at least 100meters away. Before i knew it, she was only 10meters away saying, i think they’re nesting and then one spots her. I yell look out and it runs towards her and it jumps at her face, she throws it off and it comes back at her again, i tell her to throw it into the water but she didn’t listen and the spider stabbed her eyes out. She was blind and moving her hands around in the air, it then came after me and right before it got to me i woke myself up. What does this mean… It’s like all my fears are on an island surrounded by a big blue ocean and piranhas eating sharks. I woke up feeling sad for her and i felt like this was a flash back of what happened in my previous life, i felt like i had seen this before.
I had a dream about swimming around the base of a large deserted island and so far dream translation seems pretty accurate however shortly afterwards the island started to collapse on itself with lava erupting wherever it could. Does this mean something bad??
Just woke up from a dream, as you do. It all starts with us on some dingy I guess, not really sure about how I got in the boat or why but I had a few people from my past, is never expect any of these people to be there. A few people I imagined aswell. So we get to the island right off the coast of Cali, only took a few mins. So when we got there we walked around the whole coast and eventually made our way to the highest point. We thought it was beautiful and a nice place to go. We started encountering people who just came off as bad, they started killing off the people in my group, I ended up getting chased down after we got back on the boat and back to shore. I ended up getting chased through a high school or something. We ended up having to go back I think we wanted to show people how our friends died. So we got back to the island and tried to figure out a way of getting through to these murderers about maybe peace or something.. Didn’t work all my friends got mangled and for some reason I had to pretty much swim back on a booth board. So on my journey back I encounter this beautiful shark that I fed a piece of the boggy board to so he wouldn’t eat my leg lol. I get back to shore and start running on docks, trying to find anyway to get a hold of anyone I find a cell phone and the owner of it came out and confronted me. While I was explaining what happened the group of people all showed up so I was faced with a group of people, I guess I had to fight all of them to live, they must have wanted to keep it a secret because they took it very seriously lol. So I defend myself, not fully, because it never ended. Before I woke up I was faced with a guy pointing a bow and an arrow that was on fire at me and shooting these flaming arrows at me..
I’ve been having some very crazy dreams lately, any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks 😀
