Diamond – Body

This is the hardest known material. It lasts forever, so the advertisements tell us. It represents the eternity of spirit, the gem or jewel at the centre of being, your Spiritual consciousness. It can also represent human greed, hardness, cold as ice, anything for power. But is not often used as such in dreams. See: Jewels.

Diamonds in dreams can indicate success, also wealth and happiness. They can represent the power of care and love that hold men and women together in marriage.

They can also indicate clear ideas and sometimes beauty of the soul. The jewel if is worn near the throat in a dream can suggest the ability to speak truly or sing with beauty. It acts as an amplification of the abilities of whatever part of the body of the wearer. So worn on the ear can indicate the possibility of psychic hearing.

Diamond Body: Is a more permanent body or identity which is formed by the transformation of sensory experience into a body or identity that has connections with the unchanging and eternal aspect of oneself. Buddhism calls this the diamond body, the imperishable self.

It shows that the person has the ability to perceive beyond the physical body and is capable of experiencing bodiless awareness. See Bodyless Awareness

It is also known in other different spiritual traditions: “the most sacred body” (wujud al-aqdas) and “true and genuine body” (jism asli haqiqi) in Sufism, “the diamond body” in Taoism and Vajrayana, “the light body” or “rainbow body” in Tibetan Buddhism, “the body of bliss” in Kriya Yoga, and “the immortal body” (soma athanaton) in Hermeticism.[2] The various attributes of the subtle body are frequently described in terms of often obscure symbolism: Tantra features references to the sun and moon as well as various Indian rivers and deities, while Taoist alchemy speaks of cauldrons and cinnabar fields. See – Opening to Life

The caterpillar, while changing into a butterfly, closes the delicate fluids of its within, inside a hard crust, but the hard crust drops away as the butterfly emerges. So, in a sense, one’s outer disciplines, even if imperfect, protects, and gives a receptacle within which our formless nature shapes itself. Within us the imperishable diamond body is taking form. This is the eternal of our nature realising itself in common life, in time. For as Blake says, “The Eternal is in love with the creations of Time.” Our diamond body is our personal awareness, now conscious of the self beyond form, time and space. Thus, our individual self is deathless for it has found union with the core self.

The spiritual exercises/practices then, are there as a womb about the infant body of the divine child within us. Without them we could not face and bring to consciousness, our own fears, ambitions, sins, passions, without being carried away by them.

Example: In a lucid semi sleep state, I felt as if I had died, not the death of my body, but a blotting out of my waking personality. A memory arose of another similar experience where a beautiful slightly see through woman came to me and told me she was the spirit of my whole life, my female counterpart. She took me into her to form the essence of both my male and female self to form a baby uniting us both in its being.

Then I wondered, because the memory was of an event some time previous, where the child was, what was it like? Then it appeared before me as a small child covered by diamonds, as if the gems clothed it. But I could not see any body behind the gems, and it arose in me that I was looking at the diamond body, which was invisible to our eyes.

Example: My friend burned sage and asked the spirit of his wife to move on. (After 7 years of her presence). That night he dreamt that she was with him in a room looking so grand, the way that he liked her to dress and look. They talked and then she took off a ring (a big diamond), placed it on the night-stand…then she left. They really loved each other in life.

It is said there is no marriage or giving in marriage after death, so the dead wife was saying there is no longer marriage after death and here is the ring you gave. That was not a rejection of their years of marriage but a way of showing she had successfully moved on.

Example: I had a dream I have a diamond ring with 3 stone’s. This is not engagement or wedding ring. Sitting in a group, suddenly I noticed I have lost one stone. I and my husband searched and I found the stone on the table. Later we went to someplace and I found that I had forgotten to take the diamond. We went back, but could not find it. We found something but it turned out to be not diamond – something white, but stretchable thing – not very hard. What does this mean?

I have an intuition that the ring with the three diamonds actually represent the three aspect of love, one of which is loving without possessing. But the one that was lost was about a tragic thing that you forgot – a hurt to your love that you tried to forget. But you have met more of yourself as you have grown and the memory of the loss has come back.

I had a dream where the most vivid part of it was i walked into a jewlery store and it was my sister that owned it and she was dressed in all black like a jewler usually is and absolutely covered in diamonds. Earrings, necklace, bracelets, everything but rings. I’ve been trying to figure it out for a couple of days now, could use some help!

I had a dream my dancer friend was wearing a very large rough dialond around his neck and dancing wilhilst wearing it. It looked heavy but he wore it well and i was fascinated to see that watching him dance. The stone was rough but brilliant, it did not look like jewellery, more like a very rare piece.

Hi – I am stopping from answering your posts fully – but will try to give hints; sometimes long ones because I quote from masses I have already put online. Also, I need to take time to update the site – dreamhawk.

It would help you to understand your dreams, if you would read – http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/questions-2/#Summing and also http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/features-found-on-site/ which has so much information in.

Nothing can replace your own ability to understand your dream. With a little effort you can do this by practicing what is described in – http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson or http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/getting-at-your-dreams-meaning/

    Tony

The friend is apart of you that has a talent you have not yet brought to consciousness. When you think about a friend or a person you meet, you are only taking in your thoughts, impressions and feelings about them. So many people do not realise that they have an inner person equally as powerful as the external person you know. You have taken in millions of bits of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences along with all the feelings or problems met by meeting or living with them, and they are what makes you the person you are. The memories and experience we gather unconsciously change us and are not lost. It is part of you and is symbolised in dreams as a person or event. Such an inner person can appear in dreams because you still carry the memories or impressions of them, and so they influenced what you hold within you.

The diamond is a rare ability that still needs polishing. See http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/extending-your-awareness/

I had a dream that the diamonds were falling out of my engagement ring. As they were falling out, they appeared to have pinsor rods, attached at the ends. I kept putting them into my hand and squeezing them. As more fell out, including the largest stone, I put them in a pocket in the robe I was wearing. During the time when all this was happening, I was in a public area with women’s purses laying all around. One purse in particular was a friend of mines, although I do not know who she is. In my dream I just knew that she was someone I knew or someone I had gone to that place with.I went to the restroom to try to get what was inside her purse, but the restroom was flooded with over 3 feet of water. She saw me with the purse and asked me what I was doing with it. She had been looking for it. I hid her purse behind my back and she could not see her purse and I continued going to some of the purses lying around to see if they had anything worth taking. I was never able to get anything, as I walked away from the purse before I checked the contents.

Dear Lyheng – Your dream may reflect that you are on an inner journey and when you find your Inner Beauty you do not recognize it as yours.
    In this article you can read the experience of a woman who went on an inner journey as well;

He was giving be a very large round circle long object with the most beautiful white diamonds all around had to be more than a thousand absolutely beautiful I don’t know him was a warm feeling. This dream have me wondering the meaning

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2015-12-10 16:31:48

Dear Martha – A wonderful, helpful dream you have created.
The way I see your dream – but please explore it for yourself as well http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dream-yoga/ – is that you meet an unknown part of your unconscious mind that offers you the gift of feeling whole which will last.
So perhaps you receive this dream to become aware that at this stage of your life it serves a purpose to stop searching in the outside world and start looking within, because you have it “All” inside you?
When you (have) set your intention towards uncovering this feeling of wholeness again, then Life will be with you every step on the way and it will serve a purpose to continue to write down and explore your dreams.
Let me know if you have any questions.
    Anna 🙂

Very vivid dream.. Can’t get it out of my mind. My boyfriend and I were at the jewler picking a wedding ring. The jewler shows a yellow gold ring with diamond, but not my taste at all. I responded, loud and clear: “I don’t like it!”. And told him to make a white gold or platinum plain but wide ring instead.
What could this mean?

-Antoinette Booysen 2015-08-21 4:26:04

This deam disturbs me. I was picking up diamonds with some friends. Also find a big one set in gold. When it was to be weighed, mine were lost

i dont dream………or at least it is extremely rare i remember one. but last night was odd. i had 4 symbols…..RED,DIAMOND, UFO’S AND SATELLITES. it was also a lucid dream one moment i knew i was dreaming( i was in bed and my sons father came in with a red durag nevers worn one in life! lol and completely red clothing….again he NEVER wears red he hates it! he was leaving with an attitude i sensed and in real life he’s been gone with my sons for about 5 days now) next i thought i was awake but still in the bed and i looked outside and saw the falling satellites and 4 UFO’s i scream UFO’s it was so real i woke up looked to see if my boyfriend was here but knew he wasnt……and saw satillites falling from the sky 2 to be exact and 4 ufo’s one after the other. Now after reaserching the diffrent symbols i think it has to do with me knowing my boyfriend isnt right for me and me feeling alienated and having very little communication with peope……….this morning i started the process of filing for custody.

I’d a dream of two individuals – one wearing a round earpiece (like a stub) with what appeared like diamond, and the other wearing a ring on which also appeared like with diamonds. I wonder what this dream is about? Anyone

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2015-06-30 9:43:22

Dear Mark – An interesting dream to explore!
The way I see your dream is that it reflects your ability to “hear/listen/intuit” on different levels. (I wonder if you work as “a people manager” or a coach; it is an ability which will help you anyway to coach/help yourself)
I believe that the different ear rings represent the ability to connect with/hear who or what another person or you are expressing in this moment AND also to connect with/hear the potential; the wholeness of this person/yourself underneath this present situation.
I feel the best way to explore this dream for yourself is to use “Being each individual” as it appears in your dream and to switch back and forwards from one individual to the other to become aware of the different feelings/sensations/intuitions and the different levels of “hearing”.

    Anna 🙂

      -Mark 2015-07-21 8:49:32

      Thanks for you input, Anna.

Yes, in a way I’m a “people manager” because I’m a consultant whose clients are from a foreign country. In my line of work, I do get in contact with many people and, in the course of work, had acquire the ability and/or intuition to sort of read or assess people and understand their requirements etc. This dream though, is one off, and I’m unable to make up who those two individuals were.

I do have a recurring dream about me picking coins of all sorts – gold, silver, nickel, etc in almost anywhere such as depth of swimming pools, walkways, etc and in full view of others. Sometimes this dream can occur 2 to 3 consecutive nights. With your feedback on diamonds, I wonder whether this has got to do with my line of work. Hmmmm…

        -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2015-07-21 15:40:28

Dear Mark – Thank you for your feedback and for sharing the dreams about the coins, for it makes the “diamonds dream” even more understandable.
You wrote “This dream though, is one off, and I’m unable to make up who those two individuals were.”
“These two individuals” reflect your ability to “pick up what is potentially valuable” in your clients; symbolised by the coins you find everywhere.
So the way I see it is that both individuals reflect YOUR potential/value, which enables you to assess (hear, intuit) the potential/value in other people, situations, relationships etc.
I feel it will be helpful to explore why the coins dream is a recurring dream and I wonder what you feel when you find these coins.

-Amlan Kumar Nath 2015-06-14 9:04:20

Yesterday night before sleeping, I did root chakra healing meditation. And same night I had dreams of unpolished raw diamond in some mine like place. And I was collecting them happily. What does this mean?

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2015-06-18 7:44:30

Dear Amlan Kumar Nath – Your dream expresses that you were able to enter deep into your mind where healing occured and treasures were found.
A rough diamond refers to a diamond which has not yet been cut. They come in a variety of naturally occurring shapes and I feel they reflect your natural inner beauty, the Core of your Being and also the Source of happiness.
Allowing the power of your core to flow into your conscious life is fundamentally simple. But simple things have complexity. The difficulty is that the core is the fount of life in your being. It is the potential for all that you can achieve or become.
But it is life, and as when we watch a plant grow, it may appear as if little is happening at times. The growth is occasionally only realised by comparing present with past. But sometimes life is dynamic and urgent. Then the power is obvious and even challenging.

I had a dream that a good friend of mine gave me the money to but a diamond. I brought a huge diamond that was in a silver elephant surround. When I showed it to my friend she was a bit disappointed that I don’t choose just a diamond as it would have been clearer but I was quite happy with my slightly flawed diamond because of the elephant surround, it was unique.

-Harpreet Lamba 2011-10-18 18:47:27

Recently I saw a dream, I remember just a part of it. In my dream I was running as if someone is following me to catch me. My 8 years old daughter and 3 years old son are with me. And I found that I am in a cave kind of thing but it is very very bright. And I saw a big heap of diamonds there. I took a big hand full of it and i think my kids also took some. I was happy and a little scared. Scared because i don’t want anyone (who is following me) to know that I got some of it because I think that he will take these from me.

I usually have Psychic dreams. Can u please help me to find out its meaning.Thanks.

    -Tony Crisp 2011-11-15 13:23:53

Harpreet – When you enter a dream cave you are going deep into yourself. That it is very light show it is the light from you own psychic ability. So your dream is an encouragement.

The person chasing you is the false ideas you hold onto. You probably believe that you have to earn all the good things in your life – and that may be true outwardly, but inwardly we all own everything we can find in out dreams. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dream-yoga/

Then all the diamonds are yours, so you need not hurry and grab at them, and this is a message your children need to be taught also – but perhaps they know it better than you do. For the diamonds are truths within you that you need to make conscious and use.

    Tony
