Your Inner World

What Makes Your Inner World

We all have an inner world that is quite distinct from the outer world we encounter with our physical senses. Every thought you have, every emotion. every belief you hold on to, every fantasy, dream or creative imagination is creating your inner world.

You have an outer world we are used to living in and most of us feel it is the most important as is our everyday life. But our inner world we can become aware of when we close our eyes and become aware of our fantasies, hopes, emotions and thoughts. We enter deeper into it when we sleep. Most people are sure they lose all awareness  when we sleep, but no life form is ever totally uncosncious, as dreams show. even animals dream. My experience in this area showed me that we exist in different dimensions.

The waking life dimension is the three dimensional. In sleep we enter what we can call the fourth dimension. In the three dimensional world we can experience injury, we all have a sense if seperation and gender, and are also prone to being programmed by the sense that we will die and must often strive like hell to survive and unfortunately many cannot. In the fourth or sleep dimension we cannot be hurt or die – despite the ridiculous things the media often shows of this dimension. There are or course other dimensions with even more fantastic opportunites. Here is an examplle of  a child operatuing in a different dimension –  Lyle Watson a scientist and biologist in researching human potential for one of his books was asked by a boy’s father in Italy to observe his four year old son.

In Watson s presence the father rolled his son an ordinary tennis ball. A little while later the boy rolled it back The ball was turned inside out without any cuts or damage to its surface Watson then signed his name on another tennis ball and the boy repeated the change Later Watson cut open the ball in front of witnesses revealing his signature on the inside of the ball What the boy did questions all present scientific understanding except perhaps the findings of quantum physics. But when the boy was older he was sent to school his ability was wiped away, suggesting our present forms of education take away real potential suggesting that education can be a form of trauma See Quantum Physics

So your inner world is the very basic you, a part that can never be destroyed or changed, your basic consciousness. But particularly the aspect of your awareness that is not involved with your body senses. Each day we shut down our physical sense of hearing, our sense of sight and the other physical senses as we sleep, yet we can still experience ourselves as alive and  feeling in dreams. That is our inner world par-excellence, but it is also met in imagination, waking lucid dreams, visions and our intuition.

But your awareness, your conscious self live is the world we create ourselves which often is self destructive, because it is every thought you think, every emotion you feel, because within yourself that is all you are – consciousness. So every doubt you harbour is yourself you create this world of thoughts and emotions you live in inside you; every fear you meet is the way you cloud your own expressive energy. We can obviously experience fear, sense evil and pain, but they are all our own creation through the wonder of our immense imagination, an imagination that creates devils, angels, zombies, and even an external God. In this state we cannot be hurt, for we are simply experiencing our own mental constructs. See Your Amazing Circle

What we often do not take into account or realise is the enormous effect this type of life has and how it influences or creates your view of your outer life.

As an example supposing you had a love affair that ended leaving you in pain – well many people are stuck in their pain and do not or will admit that they created the pain themselves. But it is our inner life of beliefs and past experience that creates so much pain. To understand the enormous influence our inner world has on our daily life please see Victim – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMBt_yfGKpU – Inner Mother – Inner Father – Inner Person

Unfortunately most people are so programmed to see everything exactly like our body, with its pains, its vulnerability, its ageing and eventually death, and we identify with it so completely that we think WE are the same, and so people suffer enormous fear or hurts. But dreams are a good example of our inner world, for in sleep we have no awareness of our body, yet we dream great dreams of fear, horror, and react to them as if they are taking place in our body or in the physical world. But whenever we dream its images are not like real life, because a dream is nothing like outer life where things could hurt you, but is an image like on a cinema screen that even if a gun is pointed at you and fired it can do no damage – except if you run in fear. So all the things that scare you are simply your own fears projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind.

So in our inner world we have no physical body, but most people dream of themselves existing in their physical body, but it is a dreamed of construct. Because we have no physical body in this dimension, we cannot drown, be hurt, we cannot die; no devil or demon can hurt us, unless we believe they can and so create images of a world full of evil beliefs or ideas. The truth is, we are simply consciousness that can experience or even create anything in its own dimension. See Dimensions of Human Experience

Your inner world is also all your convictions, fears, beliefs and abilities and failings. Mostly people do not recognise they have an inner world because they are so focussed on the outer world, what they call the ‘real world’ – yet it is their inner world that forces them to see the outer world in a particular way. People take the views of the outer world – created by their inner world – as the truth. Like their view that the world is going to end and we will all be dead; that science is the answer to all human problems; that what they see through their body senses is the real world; that they know who they are; that we have the power to create every aspect of our life, and so on and on. Yet the most powerful influence on the outer ‘real’ world is their inner world.

Your inner world is all the thoughts,  feelings, beliefs and convictions, and also the intuitive insights that people have who may hear voices or have visions. Is is also your experience of fear, the sense of evil and pain, and they are all our own creation through the wonder of our immense imagination, an imagination that creates devils, angels, zombies, and even an external God.

What we often do not take into account or realise is the enormous effect our inner life has and how it influences or creates your view of your outer life and our actions, reactions and avoidances we take in waking life. See Archetype of the Paradigm

A Doctors Research into our Inner World

Example: Dr Melvyn Morse specialises in the care of young children. Katie, a young girl, had been found floating face down in a YMCA swimming pool was brought to Dr Morse apparently dead. A CAT scan revealed that her brain was abnormally swollen. If not dead, she was certainly in a deep coma, and was placed on a machine that breathed for her.

In his book Closer to the Light, Dr. Morse describes how Katie made a full recovery, and because he had to find out how Katie came to be face down in a swimming pool, Dr Morse had to interview her. To his amazement Katie described the operating theatre in which she had been placed while in coma. She also described the other people who were working on her and what they did. While this was happening she told Dr Morse that she knew what was going on in her family home and could described in detail what her brothers and sisters were doing. In fact it seemed as if she existed in a different state of time and space.

An Investigation of Hundreds of Cases of Near Death Experience

Dr. Morse went on to investigate hundreds of such experiences. He did this as a long term study, and also followed up on the children he had investigated and recorded their experience of out of body awareness during their apparent death. Of course, many authorities try to explain such experiences away if they have not experienced it themselves. But Dr. Morse examined the possibilities of drugs influencing the brain, and other possibilities and found these did not apply. Again and again, people could witness and report actual happenings around them while they were apparently unconscious or without a heartbeat. See his book Closer to the Light in the UK and USA

We could say, in regard to the western mind, that many of us share ‘assumptions, concepts, values’ and prejudices that are at the base of how we believe life to be, and that we consider to be reality. However, if we examine this ‘reality’ we see it is made up of a set of theories and beliefs that have become cultural and generally accepted. The imprisoning aspect of this is that we take these assumptions, these theories of what reality is, to be reality itself. We actually see and live in the world as if what are shifting theories is concretely real.

In 1900 Max Planck proposed a revolutionary new view of the universe in publishing the quantum theory. Since then the theory has gathered strength through an enormous amount of research, and is suggesting a universe in which the atom is by no means the fundamental material of our body or the cosmos. This view of the atom was drip fed us so often and said in effect, you are made of atom as as is your brain, and atoms are physical objects, when your brain is destroyed you are dead. But the quantum view is that it says that the core of our being is an almost indescribable condition of infinite potential. They go so far as to say that we are co-creators of the world we live in, as our personal awareness changes the nature of the things surrounding us and cannot be destroyed.

Here is a little dream received today – “In my dream I saw a large salmon. I wanted it. As I zoomed out of focus I was high on the peak of a mountain. A little startled at first. But, I wanted to soar. So I did and I was an eagle. Giselle”

So, do not keep yourself imprisoned by your impoverished idea or beliefs of who you are. You can fly or dive deep in the sea in the inner world – but don’t get it mixed up with the world you exist in when in the body.

When we enter our inner world we enter a state of mind that includes the death state, the near death state and of course the sleep and dream state. In that condition you leave the limitations of the physical world and enter an endless wonder. The wonder of it includes going beyond time and space so that you know things that otherwise you would only slowly have discovered by meeting them in the slow progress of living in the body, dealing with the things that hold you back from expressing your enormous potential, and living who you really are.

Example: I dreamt of a whale swimming in a small pond, as I looked into the water I see it is a huge galaxy underwater…what does this mean?

It means you have broken through the small world that you live in whike in waking awareness and because you dipped below the surface of your normal awareness, you saw the amazing inner world, and you saw the glory that you are.

If we stood an attractive and successful woman in front of a mixed group of people, how do you think they would describe her? Be honest, do you think the men would have the same view of her as the women? And don’t forget it is a mixed group. It contains all types, so some would see her as a ‘rich bitch’ and want to put her down. Some would want to have it away with her – even leading to murder. Remember I asked for honesty and there are plenty of murderers in our society. Others might want to be a business partner, others want her to go to a girls night out – and on and on and on in different responses. Because we ALL LIVE IN A DIFFERENT INNER WORLD. So our perceptions are all different, and all these differences are what makes us respond differently to people and opportunity. I repeat, “Yet the most powerful influence on the outer ‘real’ world is your inner world.”

In considering how you think about that, remember a few well-known facts about how you encounter the so-called ‘real’ world of waking life. Firstly, when you look at an object such as an orange or apple, remember that although you have the sense of seeing what colour and texture the fruit has, in fact all you are seeing is reflected light. You never see the actual colour of the object.  Your eyes take in streams of light that are translated into nervous impulses transmitted along the optic nerve. In the brain these nerve impulses are again translated into an image that enables you to have some relationship with an apparently external world. In the same way the nerve endings on your fingers transmit signals that are translated into sensation. See Programmed

The world you feel so sure you are seeing and experiencing, is one your brain has created in order to enable you to deal with survival. Even so it is a translation of ‘the world’ that has been shaped by evolution and its limited needs. You only respond to very narrow wavebands of light and sound for instance. So you do not know much of what is actually going on in the world anyway. Your eye, as a lens produces an upside down image of your surroundings, and this is ‘corrected’ to help you move around more easily. See There is a Huge Change Happening

In your inner world you are the creator. You are doing it right now – creating an inner world. For instance what do you believe, fear, hope for or are driven toward? We are all the time creating an inner world, it is the world of our mind, emotions, fears, personal likes and dislikes, our personal sexual behaviour and our habits. We tend often to be unaware of the tremendous power of our inner world and simply think of it as ‘Me’ without recongnising that we are creating it all the time – My communication is that you are the creator. You are doing it right now – creating an inner world. For instance what do you believe, fear, hope for or are driven toward? We are all the time creating an inner world, it is the world of our mind, emotions, fears, personal likes and dislikes, our personal sexual behaviour and our habits. We tend often to be unaware of the tremendous power of our inner world and simply think of it as ‘Me’ without recognising that we are creating it all the time – through the power of it we create and live either a heaven or hell. See Martial Art of the Mind

When people explore their inner world by exploring their dreams, or using techniques that allow one to dive down into the world that we often avoid so is unconscious to us, we start to face a mass of difficulties, traumas beginning from birth to the present – things like medical operations – abortions (For birth is a process, and it has never completed the process when abortion took place) – many, many childhood hurts – our miss-handling our relationships at the fundamental level – the tensions that are lodged within us that we are mostly unaware of – and so on.

It is out of what you believe and are convinced of that you create a unique – for you – world, and then you live in it, or are trapped in it. Millions of people are in the grip of a belief system that controls them, imprisons them, and denies them their full potential. It is generally called the paradigm of the western mind. It could also be called the worldview or even the religion of most western people – religion because actually it is a belief system. However, if you asked most people in the streets of western cities about it they would not say they believed in what is being called a paradigm, they would insist it is reality. See Archetype of the ParadigmPotential

We actually see, react to and live in the world as if what are shifting theories is concretely real. And okay, I am not going to say I know the truth, because I don’t – what is the truth seeing that we create the world we feel is real. What we believe is real is probably ideas assumptions, commonly held view of what ought to be, and so there is a lot of common ground between what we create. Our parents and culture did that for us. But if we look closely at our own perceptions we find massive gaps in them, tears in the fabric of our reality. I am not going to make this very long by quoting more example, but perhaps one will be useful. See If you haven’t already viewed Programmed it would be good to see in now, because it is a starting point for what follows.

Example: A woman who was a radio researcher was offered the job of presenter. She was thrilled but dreamt she was in a road walking and planes flew overhead dropping bombs and shooting. She had to dive into a ditch to avoid being killed. When she explored the dream she realised she was afraid of facing the public directly, and this fear if left unconscious would have caused her to refuse the job. She met the fear and managed to press forward with the job.

The dream gives a very graphic picture of the woman’s inner world and the difficulties it puts her in. So every hurt you received, every achievement is there in your inner world. Those hurts or mistakes have to be met before we can be free in our inner world. What we need to understand is that we all live in a very personal and unique inner world, an inner world that conditions the way you see and interact with the apparently outer world. Also the inner world is not destroyed or ended by death.

This inner world is created by what you do, think and decide, by what we have been taught and told, and also the crazy images we are fed by other people and the media. Really our inner world is the result of what we have worked on in the theatre of life. This inner world of creativity and imagination are very real and have enormous power. Think of someone whose inner world/feelings/thoughts is dominated and filled with self doubt, a sense of failure, of feelings of being unloved and worthless, and compare it with someone who is not troubled by doubts, but is loving and supporting of others, who can easily express their creative ideas and loves imagination.

Everything or person we have experienced becomes something you have taken into your thoughts, impressions and feelings about it or them. So many people do not realise that they have an inner thing equally as powerful as the external thing or person you know. You have taken in millions of bits of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences along with all the feelings or problems met by meeting or living with it, and they are what makes you the person you are.  The memories and experience we gather unconsciously change us and are not lost. It is part of you and is symbolised in dreams as a thing, a person or event.

Example: I am seeing how some people live, and more than anything else that has impressed me – something I no longer doubt – is that people live in a mental climate or mental world, which is invisible, intangible and often not recognised. It is equally as imprisoning as living on Devils Island, or living back in the past like a black slave. It is just as real, just as awful as that, even though we can’t see it, even though there is evidence of it all around us. There is evidence in the lives of tens of thousands, of millions of human beings. They are trapped in this world of fears and darkness.

Example: I have seen a most wonderful possibility. It is not mystical or strange. It is not weird or occult, or a weird ideal one strives for. It is a very real possibility. I know because I have lived in the dungeon. I have been imprisoned and have seen others living in the prison. But now I have a taste of freedom. It is not the freedom that is based on having enough money, or living in the right country. It is a freedom within us. Therefore it cannot be stolen. It cannot be taken away by circumstances or a relationship. It is not that other people do not matter, but one is not free or tied because of them.

I believe that people often look for a fixed meaning of life and themselves; but I see that the universe we live in is so multi-dimensional that all we can do is find our own meaning. This is in line with the enormous differences people experience as themselves – their inner world.

If you imagine for a moment that you live alone in a world, and you people  it with your imagination, fuelled by what you feel, fear, despise, love and fear; and all those people  in your world become real and interact with you. Then you build surroundings out of the same things, animals too. But you do not realise what you are doing, and you take it to be really independent people and animals in your inner world/dreams. What you do not realise also is that this is your own inner world brought to life. It is not an imaginative fantasy, but a real representation of the inner world you live in. Our inner world is formed/created by the work we have done on ourselves – work can mean the strength and purpose we put into living from our best. Best does not mean the best often defined by being good and like a wet blanket. Our best might be striking out in a way criticised by the mass, or judged as awful and yet is an expression of our core self.

As we realise the potential of our inner world we can begin to use its wonderful abilities. We can for instance ask any question and receive an answer – See Edgar Cayce. We can like George Washington Carver talk to flowers and unlock their wonderful medical and practical uses. See ESP in Dreams.

Example: I am in a landscape and notice that everything is brown; the whole world is brown and lifeless. There is also a feeling of solemnity or dullness. I have enough lucidity to wonder why the world of my dream is so brown and dull. As I ask this I become more aware of what feeling the brownness expresses. It is seriousness – with no room for humour or fun. The feeling deepens, real enough and clear enough to look at and understand. I see it is my father’s attitude to life that I have unconsciously inherited. I realise how anxious he always felt about life, and how I took this in. That is how I became a ‘brown’ person. I see too that I do not need to be either brown or serious anymore.

Then the landscape changes. There are trees, plants and animals in brilliant colour. I wonder what this means, and the landscape begins to spin until the colours blend and shimmer. Suddenly my body seems to open to them, as if they are spinning inside of me, and with a most glorious feeling, a sensation of vibrating energy pours up my trunk to my head. With this comes realisation. I see how stupid I have been in my brown, anxious existence, how much life I have held back. The animals and plants are the different forces in my being that blend into energy and awareness. I feel I am capable of doing almost anything, like loving, writing a song, painting, telepathy, or speaking with the dead. This sparkling vibrating energy is life itself and can, if I learn to work with it, I can grow into any ability or direction I choose. I wake with a wonderful sense of my possibilities.

Suzanne Segal, speaking from her continuous experience of wider awareness says, “The vastness carries a non-personal desire to experience itself. This appears to be the purpose of human life—for the vastness to meet itself everywhere it turns. The notion of personal growth or inner development is contrary in every respect to the way the vastness exists. The quest to awaken implies a sense of futurity that precludes basking in what actually is right now.” (From her book Collision with the Infinite)

What is this man saying in his inner world?

Example:  I realized I had been unkind to my dog by trapping it with the creatures, putting myself first, and felt guilty; I went back to my dog, who was on the verge of death from all the bites it had incurred. Somehow, the “wasps” had transformed into leech-like animals that were sucking out his blood; as I brushed them off, his hair fell off, revealing bloody naked skin underneath. Also, weirdly enough, he had leeches on his penis, which was engorged and sore and resembled my own penis. See Mammal Brain

I want to attempt to get this over to you as clearly as I am able. Can you understand it if I say that all that you are is consciousness? Without awareness you have no body, the whole world has gone, there is nothing!! We have consciousness of having a body, of the world around us, people, love anger – but they are all things you are conscious of – they are not consciousness. Yet people believe they are their body, but in the end you are only the awareness of having a body. Life and consciousness seem to me to be one and the same. Life can take any form – see the million upon million of different forms life has taken. With a complex body, consciousness can attain ‘self consciousness’.

And you can fill your inner world with anything – love, anger, hate, creativity, fear, awful images. But they are simply things we fill it with and have in reality no permanent existence. So why fill your self consciousness with silly frightening images. Also we often make the huge mistake of totally identifying with what we feel or think. Or we are so consumed by our outer appearance and our body that some of us actually commit suicide because of it.

But let us explore this question of what you identify with a little further. Maybe you identify with the way you feel, your emotions, or perhaps your thoughts.  But from one moment to the next these are not the same.  They are constantly shifting and moving, and undergo more variation than your body.  If you identify with your thoughts and emotions you can become lost in their swirling and shifting storm.  Believing you are your thoughts or emotions can be at the root of depression and confusion. Losing an arm or leg, losing your physical beauty in age, may affect your thoughts and feelings, but those things do not in any way deplete your sense of existing.  So if your body, your thoughts and emotions are not YOU, then what or who are you?  What is it you can most securely identify with?  What is it that is not shifting and changing and capable of being lost?

Obviously there are things in the outer world that need to be avoided – but in your inner world why fill it with fear or crazy ideas that do nothing but confuse you. But the main thing to realise is that your inner world is unique and your own. It is made up of all that you think and feel. It is incredibly real and yet extremely plastic. So if you feel that you cannot do something it is like a brick wall that you cannot get through. But if you gain another perspective the brick wall of disbelief melts. And that is the world you live in and create all the time. That gives wonderful freedom or imprisonment, because whatever you believe in is the world you live in. So why not let go of the prison walls you may have created and live in a world of possibilities?

Here is a description by someone who explored the inner world. William Lilley, was a spiritual healer. He lived an extraordinary life, uniting in his practice the use of ordinary medicine, herbs, massage, manipulation, sound therapy, vibration therapy, along with a clairvoyant ability to look into the body and diagnose sickness. He was able to consciously ‘leave his body’ and visit the ‘Inner World’.

His description of this is typical of many other people’s experiences – but he can describe it best:

“When I am going into trance, I breathe in the Yoga method shown me by Dr. Letari. Immediately I get a sensation as though I am falling, or being pulled backwards. As this sensation comes to a climax, I seem to be travelling through space at terrific speed. I have opened my eyes many times at this point, but the only vision I have is of passing through a dense fog. Then, quite suddenly, the fog clears and I am at a stile. I climb over this stile and immediately there is a voice speaking to me over my shoulder. This voice is always with me, explaining everything I see and everyone I meet. The stile seems to be on the edge of a large field, which rises gradually to the form of a hill. I walk up the hill, and beyond it I visit many places. It is always the same stile, the same hill, the same voice, and it just seems like a large country with so many different towns to visit.

The most interesting and remarkable experience I ever had during these visits happened before I went into trance. Several people had been speaking of consciousness. They had asked me to describe the world I experienced. Was it solid? Did I appear solid? I promised them that if I could, I would find out. I arrived at my stile, the voice came to me, and it evidently knew my desire, because it said “Feel the earth!” I did. It was solid. “Feel the grass beneath your feet!” I did. That was solid too, and even had dew on it. “Smell these flowers!” They were perfectly natural and had the usual perfume. In fact, everything around was natural. Then I was told, “Feel your body”. I did so. It was as solid as I am materially.

‘The voice then said, “Close your eyes; make your consciousness passive”, or as you would do when preparing for a trance state. “Now feel the earth beneath your feet!” There was nothing. “Open your eyes”. It wasn’t dark, it wasn’t light. “Feel at your body”. It wasn’t there. “Such is Spirit” said the voice. “Just a consciousness holding within it all experiences of your lifetime, all the joys and sorrows, your desires, achievements and failures, whence comes spiritual evolution. In your world of the material, you are able to examine matter; everything is matter. When you think of the spiritual, naturally you build in your consciousness another material world.”

It is an amazing inner world which offers freedom. It is ours to create, and the very core of us is bodiless awareness”.

See if you can imagine or picture that. If you can you are well on the way to an enormous discovery. Also each of us create a unique inner world, and it can be anything, for we are the creators of our own world. See Summing Up – Avoid Being Victims – Programmed – Meeting yourself

We all have an inner world that is quite distinct from the outer world we encounter with our physical senses. It is the world we meet when we have an emotional reaction, an idea, or close our eyes and live in our fantasies, imagination or dreams.

Amnesia

Science says that the outer world we are so certain is the real world, is not so solidly real as we believe. To quote a recent report, “Color, for instance: That azalea outside the window may look red to you, but in reality it has no color at all. The red comes from certain properties of the azalea that absorb some kinds of light and reflect other kinds of light, which are then received by the eye and transformed in our brains into a subjective experience of red.

Please view https://dreamhawk.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=17302&action=edit

And sounds, too: Complex vibrations in the air are soundless in reality, but our ears are able to turn the vibrations into a car alarm or a cat’s meow. These capacities of the human organism are evolutionary adaptations. Everything about human beings, by definition, is an evolutionary adaptation. Our sense that the colors and sounds exist “out there” and not merely in our brain is a convenient illusion that long ago increased the survival chances of our species. Powered by Darwin, modern science proceeds, in Dennett’s phrase, as a “universal corrosive,” destroying illusions all the way up and all the way down, dismantling our feelings of freedom and separate selfhood, our morals and beliefs, a mother’s love and a patient’s prayer: All in reality are just “molecules in motion.”

But what they do not say because they want – I think – to be clever and intellectual and wishing with what they think is their devastating insight, is that therefore everything is part of our inner world, and we do not actually directly see or know anything, except what the brain interprets.

But what is really meant by Inner World

Obviously I am still learning so much, because I realised it may lead to people misunderstanding what is meant by ‘inside us’.

A little information may help. It is now known that all living things from viruses to mammals, which includes us humans, started life from single cells, which we still do to reproduce. Don’t forget that your own life began in the single cell held in the slime of creation of your parent’s sexual act.

A single cell, which is a seed from which all life forms evolved from, doesn’t become old or die because it is immortal, for it keeps dividing and doesn’t die. In dividing it constantly creates copies of itself, but as it does  so it gathers new experience, it changes what is copied, so becomes the ‘seed’ for multi-cellular organism. We all started from the original one cell, and we, you and I,  are the result of gathered experience.

So no plant or creature grows from a dead seed, and each living seed carries within it all the past gathered from all its forebears. So, the seed in your mother’s womb is as old as and even older than human kind, and you carry that wisdom or memories in you. But in this life you developed a new brain, and the memories, education and programming you gathered this time are what you built your personality from, but beneath that is a very ancient self. To explore it see Opening to Life

That ancient self and its memories and the experiences it can give rise to are your Inner World.

So humans live in two very different dimensions. The one most people identify with is the three dimensional physical world of the body.

The second dimension is totally different and is experienced in dreams or deep levels of our mind/consciousness. It will surprise many people to realise that in this dimension you have no physical body – the body is not needed – although most people are so locked into thinking that their reality is their body, that they create a body image of themselves.

In this dimension we are in a wider awareness, in this wider awareness you leave the limited view of the three dimensional world most of us are trapped in, and enter a world beyond time and space. So forget the clumsy explanations of telepathy and precognition, for they are explanations from the body’s limited senses. Beyond time we are aware of all time, past, present and future – all at once. So we do not look into the future, but are it. Our body life is to learn important lessons by being locked in time, space and our body, with its gender and limitations. This world is found by letting your personality, ego or conscious self take on the feeling of being a keyboard to be played by our ancient Life Will. See Keyboard Condition

So in an attempt to define ‘inside us’ or ‘inner world’ I quote something in ‘What we need to remember’ – “But we have to remember that having a personality with self awareness is a very new thing and has only existed for a short time. Before that we were like animals that lived only in the Life Will – what we usually call instincts. So the development of self awareness was an immense step, and left us very vulnerable, and still does.

The vulnerability is that we are left with only a tiny part of our awareness. Of course we have gained a great deal with the wonderful languages, but we are all – mostly – unaware of the huge information base gathered over millions of years that we call instincts. Seeing my cat, barely a year old give birth to five kits, I was amazed at her knowledge. Without any hesitation she bit through the bag in which each kitten arrived in, gave it some loving licks, ate the afterbirth, and the same for all the others. Then the cat with no education about being a mother never left the kittens for days, allowing them to feed. Also, thinking there would soon be lots of little messes I was astonished to see Mother took care of everything – no mess anywhere.”

It is that vast knowledge that we have that is unconscious in us that I refer to. It is still there but we have such a tiny amount of awareness we cannot remember it, can’t remember being born, or before that being in the eternal awareness and connections. That is what I mean by we have it within us. It is the difference between being a human personality and entering the unconscious with some awareness.

People will say that it is impossible to remember such things, but I and thousands of others have done so. Read Grof’s Realms of the Human Unconscious where case after case is described from clinical experience. I am not a great seer or great anything, but I was born a vulnerable premature baby scared of dying, and it seemed to help me to learn to develop the virgin mind, and so I have remembered just a tiny amount of the wonder that we all are. Also read Jesse Watkins journey into the inner world

Another way of picturing what happened to Jesse is to imagine what it would be like if you had lived in a small town all your life, then one day you went up in a helicopter, high above the town. Suddenly you would be able to see all the different places you had been at different times in your life. It would all be visible in one glance. Not only would you see all the places you had been, but places previously unknown would be visible.

Jesse Watkins, in his journey into mind, said that “I was more than I had ever imagined myself. Not only was I living my life now, but I had existed from the very beginning of time, from the lowest form of life up to the present. The real me was all that experience. Then at times I could see ahead beyond even the awareness I now had, to where we become aware of it all.”

His feeling of extending backwards expanded, and he became aware of directly experiencing life as an animal. In fact he felt he had actually been all sorts of animals, all life forms from the lowest up to the human. So at times he felt like a squirming blob of life without brain, then like a rhinoceros, and a baby. Jesse was fully in each experience, as we are in a dream which we are totally convinced is real. It was completely real to Jesse.

But something else the intellectuals for some reason miss seeing or saying, is that we all create the world we see or sense as outside us. In other words, we are the creators. I say it again in case you missed it – You Are the Creator of all you see or sense around you.

Example: If you observe the behaviour of a neurotic person, you can see him doing many things that he appears to be doing consciously and purposefully. Yet if you ask him about them, you will discover that he is either unconscious of them or has something quite different in mind. He hears and does not hear; he sees, yet is blind; he knows and is ignorant. Such examples are so common that the specialist soon realises that unconscious contents of the mind behave as if they were conscious and that you can never be sure, in such cases, whether thought, speech, or action is conscious or not.

It is this kind of behaviour that makes so many physicians dismiss statements by hysterical patients as utter lies. Such persons certainly produce more untruths than most of us, but “lie” is scarcely the right word to use. In fact, their mental state causes an uncertainty of behaviour because their consciousness is liable to unpredictable eclipse by an interference from the unconscious. Even their skin sensations may reveal similar fluctuations of awareness. At one moment the hysterical person may feel a needle prick in the arm; at the next it may pass unnoticed. If his attention can be focused on a certain point, the whole of his body can be completely anaesthetised until the tension that causes this blackout of the senses has been relaxed. Sense perception is then immediately restored. All the time, however, he has been unconsciously aware of what was happening.

The physician can see this process quite clearly when he hypnotises such a patient. It is easy to demonstrate that the patient has been aware of every detail. The prick in the arm or the remark made during an eclipse of consciousness can be recalled as accurately as if there had been no anaesthesia or “forgetfulness.” I recall a woman who was once admitted to the clinic in a state of complete stupor. When she recovered consciousness next day, she knew who she was but did not know where she was, how or why she had come there, or even the date. Yet after I had hypnotised her, she told me why she had fallen ill, how she had got to the clinic, and who had admitted her. All these details could be verified. She was even able to tell the time at which she had been admitted, because she had seen a clock in the entrance hall. Under hypnosis, her memory was as clear as if she had been completely conscious all the time.  Quoted from Man and his Symbols by Carl Jung. See Dimensions of Human Experience

Also what they miss explaining in their statements are things that are a part of many people’s life, they usually describe them as mental or psychological illusions, and any actual experience that cannot be produced in a laboratory are either squashed of denied.

Example: It began after a father-son bonding trip to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum outside of Dallas. Bruce picked up a video of the Blue Angels navy flight exhibition team for his 2-year-old son, James, who had become instantly enamoured with the jet fighters in high speed formation. However, soon afterwards James began to smash his toy airplanes repeatedly into the coffee table screaming that the aircraft was on fire.

It was then that the nightmares began. His mother Andrea would find her son thrashing around on the bed letting out blood curdling screams, shouting, ‘Airplane crash on fire! Little man can’t get out!’ The disturbing nightmares were physical too, with James kicking upwards on his bed as if trying to kick open the canopy from inside an aircraft. It was over a bedtime story that James suddenly began talking to his parents about the nightmares, turning them from night terrors to lucid details and conversations.

James told his staunchly Christian parents, that he was flying a Corsair during the Second World War and that the Japanese shot him down. ‘Mama, before I was born, I was a pilot, and my airplane got shot in the engine and it crashed in the water and that’s how I died.’ He told his parents he flew off a carrier called the USS Natoma Bay and his name was James and that he had died during it in a horrific plane crash. The growing implications of what their son was telling them began to trouble the religious beliefs of Bruce and Andrea. When James was two-and-a-half he was sitting on his father’s knee going through a book on the Battle for Iwo Jima. Opening the book to a picture of Mount Suribachi, James exclaimed, ‘That’s where my plane was shot down. My airplane got shot down there daddy.’ James began to draw disturbing pictures of fiery plane crashes – Dr Tucker believes this kind of compulsive repetition had all the hallmarks of how children deal with PTSD. Bruce in particular wanted to get to the bottom of his son’s insistence that he was indeed describing the past lives of a downed pilot named James. He attended a reunion for USS Natoma Bay veterans under the ruse of writing a book and was stunned to discover the only pilot killed during the Iwo Jima operation was a 21-year-old from Pennsylvania named James Huston. Further unnerving research revealed that Huston’s plane had been hit in the nose and lost its propeller – exactly where James had intentionally damaged all his toy planes. As their belief in their son’s extraordinary claims grew, Bruce and Andrea began to take what he said seriously.

One night Andrea said that she was told by James that his past-life father was an alcoholic and when James Huston was 13, they put their drunken dad in hospital for six weeks.

James By now they had tracked down Huston’s sister Anne, who was in her 80s by now and asked her if these claims were true – which she confirmed. More staggering coincidences began to occur. James knew details that no four-year-old or even 40-year-old would know about the operational details of a Second World War fighter.
James Leininger with his parents Andrea and Bruce

He knew that Corsairs were notorious for getting flat tires and when handed a model of the FM-2 planes he would fly aboard the USS Natoma Bay he noted that a small antenna was missing from the side, which research by his father noted to be true. The most incredible moment though was when James attended his first USS Natoma Bay reunion. There he was stopped in the hallway of the hotel by Bob Greenwalt, a NatomaBay veteran. When he asked ‘do you know who I am?’ James replied, ‘You are Bob Greenwalt.’ Asked how he knew that by his father, James replied that he simply remembered the man’s voice. Indeed, after that, back at home in Dallas, James was sweeping the front lawn with his dad when Bruce bent down to hug his son and tell him that he loved him. James replied that when he saw Bruce and Andrea eating dinner in Hawaii on Waikiki Beach he knew that these were the right parents for him. Bruce still has no idea how his son knew about the romantic trip he and his wife went on to start their family – before James was born. After this he was invited to Japan where he was shot down and was honoured by the Japanese officials who said he was obviously a reincarnation because he knew so much about them.

A Personal Experience

Example:  I had an extraordinary out of body experience. I had suddenly felt as if I were shooting upwards and experienced a feeling of coming out of pressure and was now free – like a cork out of a bottle. Then I was awake and looking down at my sleeping body and suddenly felt terrified (I realised afterwards it was terror that I was dying). Then I remembered reading about experiences such as this and was laughing uncontrollably through release from terror. Then I was travelling across the German countryside where I was living, curled up with my knees to my chest, and found myself standing in our sitting room at home in London. It was such an astonishing experience I stood in shock looking down at my body, feeling it and trying to understand. My body felt solid and real and I was dressed in outdoor clothes not my pyjamas. Then with great enthusiasm I looked up and saw my mother sitting alone knitting, our Alsatian dog lying asleep in front of the gas fire. I felt sure my mother would see me because I felt physically present and absolutely and vitally awake in a way I had never experienced before. So I called out to her, “Mum, look what has happened.” She stopped knitting for a moment but obviously didn’t see me or hear me. So I felt if I shouted this would reach her. “Mum” I shouted, “look it’s me Tony”. There was no obvious sign that she had heard me, but two things did happen. One was that I saw or realised that she had an upstairs side of her and a downstairs side. Her upstairs (conscious) side had no awareness of me, but her downstairs side (unconscious) gave me a wonderful welcome and I had the awareness of us knowing each other in a formless love.

A-283 Then at the same time my dog must have heard me shout because he woke and came rushing to me and was so full of love for me he rushed around where I stood barking and showing his joy.

(The photo is of my dog Vincent in front of the gas fire – 1956) I later heard from my mother saying she had had been alone that night as my father was out, and she had seen the dog get up and bark and jump around for no apparent reason. I learned enormous and important lessons from that. I saw that because I was present without a physical body my mother couldn’t hear me. I needed a physicl body to make sound and so my mother needed physical sound to know I was present, but yet another part of her knew and responded. So I saw that if she had thought of me and spoken to me I would know, even though she might not be able to hear my reply – unless she was a medium or learned to listen to thoughts. The reason being that in the body most people cannot communicate via thoughts. Since then I have learned more and see that whenever we think of the dead with warm feelings we are immediately in their presence. So all you need to do is to imagine them and talk to them, as if you would if they were there physically. Talk to them saying whatever it is you want to communicate. In dreams you will be able to receive their answers. I learned also that my dog could hear and see me, and that he loved me. I know it sounds simple but it is. Communication with the dead is easy, but we make such a big thing of it. Remember that at death we have no physical organs to speak through, so it all has to be done through thoughts. Also that at the level of thoughts we create huge difficulties by what we think. So a thought such as, “I am not a medium so I cannot talk with my dead son” is like a brick wall that we have created and cannot get through. Thoughts and imagination are incredible powerful and are real at the level of dreams and the dead – and of course our own inner world.

      Dear Tony,
I read your article about dreams about dear people and then came on to this link about the inner world.
I want to discuss my dreams with you.
      Firstly
I have had dreams about seeing clear deep water and I have been afraid of it as if I would drown and die and nobody would be able to retrieve my body back. In such dreams I also dreamt about Lotus ponds. Huge Lotus ponds. I would suddenly find myself in the pond and I can see the muddy roots and long stems rising up. I see myself inside the water and unable to do anything. When I would wake up from these dreams I would be really low on energy, sad and afraid.
      Secondly
One night I dreamt about a time possibly eras ago. I felt that it was like a lucid dream. But let me give you the details.
I was a young girl, in my 20s or something. I was wear robes like the ones the Buddhist monks wear but these robes were GREY and WHITE. My head was shaven. I lived in a place that looked like a monastery with beautiful stone carved pillars and walls. In the center of the monastery was a lotus pool.
There were more women with us. We all used to be dressed alike. I was an important part of the monastery and my teacher (older to me) would always be with me.
One day, we were attacked by soldiers wearing heavy armors. The forced their way inside our place and set the place on fire. I was on the floor where the pond was. My teacher was there with me. Apparently the attack was because of me, as they wanted to retrieve something from me and destroy it. I was protecting something, which i do not know.
My teacher signals to me and I go and stand at the edge of the lotus pool facing my back to it. I see a soldier rushing towards us and before he gets me, I plunge myself into the pool. I go deeper and deeper into the water. I can see the stems around me, the water was not very clear. I see that they were killing my teacher and setting everything on fire. I struggle to untangle myself off the stems and get out of the water but a little voice in my head says, ” A LITTLE WHILE MORE….” I felt relief and within seconds of hearing this I felt that the pressure caused on my lungs suddenly released and I feel relaxed and I feel like I am made up of air. I gradually rise above the water effortlessly. With this I woke up.
Please help me understand these sequence of dreams. I also want to mention that since I was a kid, I was not very comfortable around lotus ponds. I would feel uneasy. Even when I would be in swimming pools, I would always try to keep my feet up near to my chest when I was in a deeper end. I still do that .
      Please help!

Sarah – Well, what a wonderful series of dreams, and what wonderful gifts you carry unconscious within you.

The Lotus Pond is a reflection of the Inner World you read of, although there is a lot more to understand than was written about. You awake low in energy because you are holding so much of yourself back and there is so much more of you to discover. Please read http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/questions-2/#Summing it save so much explaining in this reply.

Your series of dreams point to past lives where you where initiated into the mysteries of yourself. It doesn’t matter too much about those lives because your dreams sum it all up. Your initiation in your dreams was to see and experience the very depths of yourself – the roots of the lotus plants. The “clear deep water you have been afraid of” “as if I would drown and die and nobody would be able to retrieve my body back”. Is the key to understanding yourself and where your dreams are leading you. It means that you have the ability like the sages of old to enter the deep inner world, but you are frightened of dying.

Please follow me in this because it takes a lot of understanding. I took this path myself, and was frightened of dying. Eventually I had the courage to meet death and died – but it was only the death of my own limited view of life and the world. It gave me an enlarged view of what and who I am, and it continues to grow. You face the enormous you and are scared of it, but it doesn’t take anything away but adds everything to you.

Before I go on to other things, your dreams tell me that you are already a mixture of Eastern and Weston viewpoints and beliefs. The secret that you hold was attacked because of the worldly views which are opposed to it. But this opposition has set you against claiming your inner heritage, which was left, so to speak, at the bottom of the lotus pool.

I feel that what the most important thing you can do is to drop the fear of going into the depths of yourself.

          Thanks Tony!
This was really helpful. You are also so right about the fact that I am a mix of the Eastern and Western View points. I shall definitely be in touch with you. I really need someone experienced to guide me.
          Thanks again!
