Faeces Feces Shit Poop

Considering that passing faeces is a natural function, in dreams it can suggest getting rid of emotions or toxins that need to be released or let go of. Like digested food, faeces can represent experience that was relevant but now needs to be let go of. Very often expresses feelings of repulsion or distaste.

Sometimes this indicates something you have produced and created; something visible that has come out of you. Apart from the meaning mentioned under Cesspool, that is, the corruptible parts of human nature that become manure for new growth, faeces can also represent money or riches, fertility.

In another sense, to pass faeces with feelings of relief means to be rid of worrying burdensome feelings, of tension, or sexual repression. While to be covered in faeces may suggest a fear of being outwardly repulsive, or to harbour self destructive thoughts and feelings.

To play with faeces is a return to infantile behaviour; but it may develop in the dream into a question of what to do with them, or how to use them. This is the beginning of using our basic, earthly nature, to creative ends and the shaping of self. Because babies often play with their faeces, and have a feeling connection with them to do with their self expression and self-giving, in dreams showing this it could refer to an infant level of exploration or self expression.

Example: One such memory that was a dream I experienced. I must have been very young because I had no feelings about it other than joy and pleasure. I was lying on my back cradled in my auntie Flo’s knickers and she was wearing them. Then she did a crap all over my body and that felt like a most wonderful and orgasmic feeling. I cannot remember anything beyond that wonderful feeling. As an adult I wonder whether the child mind does not have so many feelings about being dirty but revelled in the close physical contact and the shit.

Sex, we often feel, is only experienced when we approach adulthood, but I think that is because many of us see sex only as a man entering a woman in sexual activity. That is a very poor view of what sex is and also it demeans what it can be or is in childhood, youth and even in adult years.
Example: I remember as a child watching my younger female cousin pooping outdoors on the backdoor mat. She must have eaten black currents previously and one came out whole. She immediately picked it up and popped it back in her mouth.  There were no side effects, no sickness, although me and my other playmates all felt it was awful. Young children have not been programmed by adults to feel such subjects are not good.

Some dreams about faeces link with the body being clogged with toxins. This might show in dreams where faeces are everywhere and interfering with normal activities. Toxins might arise in the body through poor food, or through an allergy to something like wheat. So these dreams might be suggesting the physical need to have a healthy bowel.

From infancy we gradually learn to consciously control our bowel movements, and so excrement can depict either how we are controlling or the need to let go. This can link with the way we deal with money or how we give of ourselves. This is very important because we are told or taught how to control everything from our bowels, urine, anger, sexual feelings and ourselves, but we are not taught how to really let go of control and learn from life. The Inca description of gold was ‘excrement of the gods’! Shit can of course produce wonderfully rich fertiliser.

If shitting on someone or something: Expressing desire to belittle them or to feel one’s superiority; heaping unjust accusations on someone; bringing something which appeared powerful into perspective.

Last night I had a dream, that I was at my old work place and there was a bedroom in the back that I fell asleep in. When I woke up I had tiny poops like the size of a they were tan and like little piles all over me and I was flicking them off and then I would find more and I just wanted to get out of there but I didn’t want to see anybody or run into anybody when leaving.

    Karen – If you are asleep at your work place it suggests, because of the poops, that working there for you is like you feel your life there is a lot of poop. When you wake to the situation you want to leave, but you don’t want others to see why you want to leave.

Hi Tony, I really hope I get a reply. My dream was a very long one but I’ll fast forward to where things happened. My ex boyfriend and I were in this house with kids and they were arguing. I was kissing him by that time and then he ejaculated so we decided to ignore those kids that were arguing. We had sex for a while and when we had anal sex I pooped. He told me that he knew it was going to happen. I asked him not to look. He should go talk to the kids who were arguing and I’ll clean it up. I wasn’t really embarrassed about it. We made jokes about and even started kissing again, ignoring the poop.

Hello I had a dream were I was on the toilet and was going to the restroom and I was wasn’t in a restroom stall or a restroom I believe it was in a public area I’m not sure. But I was were a dress and when I went to flush the toilet overflowed and then the poop started coming out like crazy every were and getting on me from my mid body down it was on my legs and every were it was all over the floors tons of it every were then all of a sudden I had a water hose and I was washing off my legs of the poop and it was coming off.. Yet I kept walking and getting more and more on me every place I went to I was in wast deep of poop and then I was like why is this poop on my legs and feet it didn’t smell it was embarrassing I was like why is there so much and why is it on my lower body I didn’t have it on my hands and upper body just the lower like legs and feet then I would wash it off.. I was sitting calming on the toilet I was done then I flushed and it was like OMG it’s starting to over flood and then poop coming out with water and poop and water all over the floor in a large area but a lot of it… It wasnt disgusting it was like hurry get it off my legs… Lol

I have had two dreams where i have woken up and there has been shit stains on the bed, in the first dream i am the only one who sees it and i feel a bit embarassed and worried that my husband would see it, the stains are near the middle and like fleck of poo. In the second dream my husband gets up and is getting dressed, i pull the bed covers over to get up and there is big shit stains down near the end of the bed, i feel absolutely mortified and my husband just makes light of it and laughs a bit which puts me more at ease but i still feel really embarrassed.

    It may also link with the huge experience of learning self control, and how one’s parents dealt with you going to the toilet, it can also connect with holding on or letting go; control or relaxation; pleasure or guilt. This in turn could involve feelings of success or failure. Therefore it associates with your WILL. Feeling punished and treated like a child, to feelings or arousal and sexual pleasure.

    Example: The therapist encouraged him in the fantasy, and soon he was joyously lost in the slime-and the mussels had turned to excrement. No longer repelled, he abandoned himself to a search for a treasure he felt must lie within the darkness. When he came up he held in his hand a pink pearl that glowed like the clouds of dawn. Then he remembered how he and his brother had fought over a pink pearl which was to be given to their mother. The pearl stood for her.     So your difficult feelings may have been you consciousness that has lost its connections with the lost past of your beginnings. Also people are very confused about the difference between their waking life and their dream life. They believe that what they dream is the same as what they meet in waking life. In other words, we take as a truth that what is important outwardly is as important in our dreams. So, you are as upset by a dream as if it had actually happened in waking life. Such mistakes make us feel things that are ridiculous.
    This happens with the morals we live by, which may be necessary in waking life, but we try to make them fit to our much bigger and freer dream/inner life, and that causes conflict because the two worlds are completely different. So, in dreams about sex we do not have to live by the same small moral world often necessary in waking life. In dreams, we experiment emotionally and sexually, so dreams often stand in place of actual experience; in doing so we expand our mental and emotional life without any danger or consequences. Through dreams we may experiment with new experience or practice things we have not yet done externally.

I had a dream where I was walking down a dark road in the middle of the night for no apparent reason, when I turn to look behind me and see my mother covered in sticky, foul smelling poop from head to toe. I ran to someone’s house to grab their garden hose to get it off of her, and saw the person whose house it was calling what I’m assuming was 911 for help. I woke up immediately after that. I have no idea how to parse meaning from what the poop on my mom means since I didn’t dump it on her. Can anyone help?

Tony, I really hope I get a response from on this. Last night I had a dream that I was naked in a white bathtub and I had piles of poop all around me and I was squating and pooped again. Then I turned around in the tub and no more room with where to put my feet. Then I woke up. It was a very quick blurp of a dream upon waking up in the morning. I would also like to add I have been going through and awakening of consciousness for a year now intensely but slowly since 1995. Dreams went away for a while and I have always been a very lucid vivid dreamer. There were no feelings of disgust in the dream at all. Just calm and I think I remember thinking what am I going to do with all of this poop and thats it. If you can give me any insight to this dream I would appreciate it. I have also read a lot on your sight and learned and enjoyed. My totem animal is a bear.

Can you bless help me. I woke up with a disgusting dream of feaces. I was with my primary school friends in the toilets their butts were full of feaces it was even going down their legs. But they were trying to clean themselves. The worry that I have now I’m trying to apply for a permanent post at work my the evil people are trying to block me from riching my dream. But with God is love nothing bad will happen to me. I trust him his my saviour.

    Theh – I myself went on an almost fanatical search for what could be done to change my sickness – to release the unconscious problems. The clue was, as Richet says, that ‘the slight instability is the necessary condition for the true stability of the organism.’ I gradually realised that to really adjust to the many knocks and changes we meet in life, our body and mind need to be capable of a type of ‘instability’. We need to be able to move, to express freely, and to respond automatically or spontaneously. Yet all our cultural training and habits are about control and suppression. Governments also sometimes give huge threats to the people if they do not conform. All in all, we have in many ways been trained to be sick – as I was myself. And, amazingly, my doctor, to deal with depression and physical but undiagnosble pains, was telling me to take a drug, a tranquiliser, to maintain the status quo.

    Certainly God/Life can heal you, because it tries to cleanse out all the rubbish we have collected in our life – the faeces. But you need to be able to really surrender to God’s action, put yourself in His hands.

I keep having this weird dream it’s very vivid. I’ve had for 3 nights in a row. I’m in the restroom and have just had a bowel movement. I turn around and see that the stool is a pale white color. I see that sone stool is on the seat and I shut the seat quickly to smush it. I feel hurried in my dream yet very curious as to why is it white? Then I wake up.

What do you think of that?
