Buildings Damaged Destroyed
It may suggest damage to your ability to work, or even a desire to end your work there.
Something that is passing away or has passed. This can refer to a way of life or a particular personality style. For instance one may be very moral and rigid at one stage of ones life and then a major change happen and one may be more mobile and adaptable. This could be depicted as a building or house that has fallen or been knocked down. It could also suggest ageing and the process whereby one loses some functioning or sexual attractiveness of the body in ageing.
Buildings can be destroyed by fire, by bombs or earth changes. Each of these suggest big changes in your life, and should be explored to find other alternatives.
Example: A woman, planning to marry, dreamed of her fiancé in this fashion: “Paul, who has five children, was pulling his children and mine on a toboggan. The children were bickering and fighting. In the next scene, I was alone. Up the street, a big fire broke out, spreading and destroying all the buildings around. I didn’t want to get caught in the fire so I backed down. Then I looked at another street ahead and to the right. I saw black clouds gathered together like a hurricane. I went into my apartment and found the children home and suffering from nausea. The hall fixture, a fluorescent light, was about to explode.” Quoted from Dreams Your Magic Mirror.
Here the building was actually the building of a relationship with the new man. It is showing everything is wrong and she should avoid any close relationship. She should as the dream suggest, back down.
Useful Questions and Hints:
Where you in the building?
Can you think of any aspects of your life that has been destroyed?
What changes are you aware of that have or are taking place for you?

I dreamt about me secretly taking my little sister onto this helicopter and there is an unknown person riding it. At first i am enjoying the view but it became faster and i was worried and put on a seatbelt. Then the helicopter created a huge laser like thing and went around the city destroying, cutting buildings in half. I was scared but i was enjoying it. Then the unknown person said dont tell anyone about this and me and my sister came home to a suspicious mom and grandma who said I was going to back to a different country so start packing.
I had a dream that I was looking at light bulb on a wall and saw that it had burnt marks forming behind the fixture. Realized it was a electrical fire forming in the wall, outside of a room my mom was laying in bed. I told her three times to wake up. The next scene we were outside and the hiding was.just burnt ashes. But a building next to it stood fine.

Shannon – The light made it obvious to see that a fire was destroying the building. But in dreams all the people, animals, places you see in your dreams, are simply your own feelings, fears, hopes and wonder projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind as images. So your mother and building are all about yourself. Many people do not realise that they have an inner mother equally as powerful as an external mother. You have taken in millions of bits of memory, lessons learnt, life experiences along with all the feelings or problems met by loving and living with your mother, and they are a major influence in your early life, and in a few cases the child never becomes independent from its mother at any age. This is true even if your mother was never there for you – you still have all the memories of her not being there for you filed under ‘Mother’. The memories and experience we gather unconsciously change us and are not lost. It is part of you and is symbolised in dreams as a person or event. Such an inner mother can appear in dreams because you are still deeply influenced by what you hold within you.
So you are going through a massive life change, shown by the fire. Each of us are immersed in a ‘river’ of constant change. If you think about it you have been carried, pushed, impelled by this current as you were moved through babyhood, childhood, teenage and adulthood. And as we passed through these changes we died to our old self in order to change to the new. It is the current of Life. This current then carries us on through old age and through the gates of death. All the time we are faced by decisions, and each decision directs us on a different path, helping to create our future. And this is a force of growth and change.
So look forward to positive change in your life. .it seems that the strength you got from your mother was helpful in meeting this change that you survived well. See https://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/opening-to-life/
Dream: big town house. We had half and neighbors shared the other side. Our house had construction happening on our side. We had a guy, I know, trying to stop us from building by threatening people with a sledge hammer. I was dropped off and I went inside. I went upstairs and started cooking. As I cooked the neighbors cut through the wall and a sliver of the wall fell towards the food on the stove. They started walling off part of the house that belonged to us saying that they let us use it but were now taking it back. I phoned my Mom to find out if they could do this.
Hi, I had a dream im on planet mars with someone staring at a fallen house not exactly resembles ours. On nearby there is a big hole but even it is deep I can see every detail inside. Telling its meaning would be a great help. Thanks.
Shanny – Our dreams use images such as the fallen house, the big hole and Mars to indicate things that are not about the waking world but about our inner world, the world deeper than our personality; the world of our seeds.
While you dream you are not in the waking world with its rules and laws, because the dream world is a totally different dimension in which things work differently. You came about from an egg/seed planted in your mother’s womb. You mother didn’t create you because the processes of Life did the huge detailed work, but your mother provided an environment and food, water and air.
You are the product of an egg and a sperm that are the descendants of other cells that began when life on Earth began with single celled creatures, so your seed is in a sense, immortal. But no plant or tree grows from a dead seed, and each living seed carries within it all the past gathered from all its forebears. So you have a very long history and of course memory.
This suggests that in fact your personality is only a small part of a huge memory, memory people call the unconscious. In fact you were not born with a personality already in you, but it develop out of the new memories and experiences gathered by the new brain in you new body, but beneath that were influences gathered by a long line of seeds, which gave rise to the miracle of your body, the memories of which are only available if you dig deep into your mind or through dreams. Okay – so Mars depicts you have left the world you knew – the waking world – and are exploring a new world of experience. You discover a fallen house – that is a picture of you when viewed from the enormous awareness you are. You are a ruin of what you can be or are capable of.
The big hole you can see in is probably the ‘rabbit hole’ in Alice’s adventures.
Example: “Then one day I was just standing around and the door opened. I went in and fell down the rabbit hole. I mean that literally. Well, literally psychologically. It was something like dreaming, only I was awake. Being awake I could appreciate and wonder about what was happening. And what was happening was that I was falling backwards through my life. There I was bumping down that long hole, knocking into events in my past that had left some sort of sharp edge in me. So I fell, dropping backwards to my beginning. Eventually I hit the bottom.
It was very quiet there. It felt so good and I wondered if I were back in the womb. There were no thoughts, no more jagged edges, and no problems. I knew intuitively that this was not the womb. It was simply the basic level of my personal awareness.
But then the process started again, and that was scary. I felt sure that if I went any further back I would disappear altogether, fall back into non-existence; and if I regressed any further I was sure I would blink out entirely. But then I realised there was nothing to be scared of. After all I did this every night when I went to bed. I closed my eyes, fell into the darkness, and lost all sense of myself – sleep! Then the immensity took hold of me and started growing me again, back the way I had come. And as the hugeness did so I realised that this was what had grown me in the first place. I hadn’t been the one steering the ship of my life through all the stages of growth in the womb, my infancy and youth. It was this mysterious hugeness.”
So if you dare to fall into that hole you will really enter the huge you that is the real you. Of course you will simply be a new exploring with a lot to learn. See http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/opening-to-life/

I dreamt I was in Angkor Wat and I destroyed ceramic statues of elephants and gods and huge pillars, then I left and felt an enormous sense of guilt, any thoughts, Tony?

Jack – Guilt in dreams is a way we say to oneself that you are sorry for your actions. Because it is your feelings of guilt, saying sorry and meaning it is a way of balancing up your own feelings. Think about it.
Guilt is a corrosive feeling that can eat away at you. It is much better to see something as mistakes we have made, mistakes that can be learned from and altered.
Example: As I looked at my impressions and rising feelings, I saw how powerful has been the realisation that within ourselves we are nothing. That our real existence is formless and beyond conception. It is the realisation that frees us from the prisons of recrimination, of feelings of defeat, of ideas and words – even of constant failure. Being formless, there is no mood, no passion, no philosophy that can hold us. So we can slip away from the agony of guilt or self judgment, we can laugh at the phantom of being right or wrong.
Please I had a dream; it rain heavy and through the rain when I got home I found my whole house Has collapse down with all my things inside. Please can you tell me the meaning of this?
Hi – The answers I give arise not out of me thinking up things to say, but from fifty years of exploring dreams in depth. So some of what I write may seem wild. This may be because dreams arise and are experienced by a level of your mind or awareness that very few people have any concept or experience of – usually called the unconscious. Life dreamt in its creatures millions of years before even humankind awoke and developed self awareness or language. So to understand dreams we need to leave our thinking minds behind and go into our feelings and reactions – a much older level of awareness.
But it would help you to understand your dreams, if you would read – http://dreamhawk.com/news/summing-up/ and also http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/features-found-on-site/ which has so much information in.

Frank – Such heavy rain is often a sign of a clearing process, a great change in your life, often leading to a better life.
But because a dream is like a seed, it is something that comes from a deep part of you; it is something that is working upwards toward being conscious. As such it often, like a seed, takes time to break through to the surface, and then it has to grow. So often dreams are not recognised for their full meaning until later – sometimes months or even longer.
Dreamt that the units at work had all burnt down and the next night i dreamt that the ceiling in my living room was falling through while I was in bed above
Any idea what this could mean ?
I’m just an employee at my workplace I do not own it ????
Hi – I am going to halt from answering your posts – the reason is that in so many of your post I give the same information to. That is because most posts do not realise the difference between dreaming and waking life. It makes a great difference.
So, most of what I put in answers is my attempt at explaining what dreams are really about. It would help you to understand your dreams, if you would read – http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/questions-2/#Summing it would help me, and hopefully you too.

It suggests a lot of change is happening, or about to happen.

I had a dream that I was in a very tall building and then the building was starting to crumble from underneath and while that is happening I am trying to hold my self from not getting hurt and as the crumbling building comes to an end I got out safely. I then looked down and saw that I was pregnant and was scared the baby was dead but then felt a kick and it was a girl. I then looked up and also saw a wreck airplane I took a picture and sent an sms to my husband to show him what I went through but he never got the message. I then remembered that I was with doctors and they were preparing me to go for a c – cection but the medicine to numb me wasn’t working but waited. Then in the meantime I saw a man in the same place as I was the doctor was cutting of his leg as it got hurt in the same accident I was but the man looked like my husband. Then I woke up.
