Heart
Emotions, sympathy, tenderness, love, affection. Also inner feelings, desires, secret thoughts, conscience. You can take heart, and thus carry on through difficulties, or lose heart and give up. In some dreams the heart stands for worries you may have about your health. It might not be that you have heart problems, but simply that because of down feelings, your ‘heart’ is not in what you are doing, so there is no zest for life.
Your dream heart indicates your emotions, and through them your pity, sympathy, your likes and dislikes. Of course it also might point to your actual physical heart. This obviously links with relationships and their challenges. If you think it refers to your physical heart get it checked out.
Example: I experienced a degree of fear that the problem with the motor referred to my heart. I let myself slip into the fear and it dissolved and I saw that it referred not to my physical heart, but to my heart as my feelings. I could see that the problem is to do with no feeling connected with people. There’s nothing that makes me feel connected with people. I don’t feel excited about anything.
Being stabbed, shot or in any way injured in the heart may depict deep emotional hurts, but also may be a warning of physical heart problems.
Many dream about the heart are in connection with pounding or racing heart, and these are indications of anxieties or fears, sometimes of illness or death, that are pushed into the unconscious where they rattle about scaring you. Most of these are simply what they show themselves to be in the dreams – fears. Fear that is repressed can cause great tension and illness. Most of such fears are groundless and best brought out into daylight where you can see them for the lifeless, bloodless creatures they are. See: fear – dealing with.
But if your heart is often beating irregularly, or beating fast it is worth having it checked.
The dream heart also depicts your connections with other people as the following example shows.
Example: I was in what looked like huge white ribs. In the ribs was a big heart beating. Beyond that was my homeopath. I could hardly breath, struggling to live. I could hear the heart beating, but as I listened I could also hear another heart beating. It seemed to me it was my sister’s heart connected to my own invisibly. The homeopath came forward and stretching open the ribs, reached into them, took hold of the invisible heart – it was like a shadow behind the other heart – and pulled it out. Immediately I could breath again and felt I was whole. In everyday life I and my sister have been incredibly linked, even to the point of having cramps at night on the same nights, though living in different parts of the world. I had become ill recently out of this connection, but as soon as I had this dream I was well again, but my sister became ill. She has just been diagnosed as HIV positive and is dying.
In the Bible there are nearly a thousand mentions of the word heart. In modern language we might describe this as referring to unconscious intentions or feelings. This might still be the case with heart appearing in dreams. So it could relate to what you are feeling, desiring and intending unconsciously, as with the example above.
Idioms: after your heart; break your heart; change one’s heart; cry your heart out; done one’s heart good; don’t let your heart run away with your head; eat your heart out; faint of heart; from bottom of heart; have a heart; have no heart; have a heart; heart like stone; heavy heart; lost your heart; my heart’s in my mouth; open-hearted; pluck at the heart strings; sick at heart; steal your heart; take it to heart; the heart of the matter; wearing your heart on your sleeve; young at heart.

I had a dream and in that dream I saw a key on my chest I went to go pull it off and in the process my heart came out of my chest ,in the process the heart that I hold in my hand was not bleeding as I walk and look for hospital To attach it ,I looked I looked for hospital never found one I walked around then I woke up from my sleep .
Hey, so I had a dream today that I had gotten stabbed in the chest in the heart by a guy I didn’t know but I knew the other one. When I got home I was laying down bleeding calling the hospital. Then I stood up & walked to my kitchen & I looked down, I seen my heart misplaced pounding. My heart later came off & I was holding it after that. Then again I layed down & since I didn’t have no heart it made it difficult to breath in my dream every time I would take a deep breath & the ambulance had came to pick me up & I woke up. I want to know what does this mean because I’m pretty scared

Diego – Whenever we dream its images are not like real life, because a dream is nothing like outer life where things could hurt you, but is an image like on a cinema screen that even if a gun is pointed at you and fired it can do no damage – except if you run in fear. So all the things that scare you are simply your own fears projected onto the screen of your sleeping mind.
So your fear of being stabbed could have caused all the other symptoms – pounding heart, difficulty in breathing. Then of course the feeling of being scared can continue causing the symptoms.
But if the stabbing pain continues, see your doctor, quickly. If it doesn’t, it can help if you can use http://dreamhawk.com/body-and-mind/the-slow-breath/
The dream I am about to tell you happened towards the end of last year, I think, or maybe the beginning of this year. Anyways, I dreamt that a bright light was beaming/shining out of my chest where my heart was. My heart was beating as if beating four times as fast as a regular human being. I remember feeling scared and panicked just watching the light shine out having no control on how to stop it, as well as trying to calm myself down since I couldn’t move laying down on my bed. I tried to breath regularly and catch my breath to be in sync with my heart beat, but I couldn’t. This continued and felt as if I was just watching the light for hours shine, wondering when it would stop, even though I never wanted it to stop. I felt special. Like, how could this happen to a high school girl? During this, I also couldn’t comprehend if this was just a dream, if it was real, or if I was going through sleep paralysis again. During that time in real life, I had many moments of going through sleep paralysis, which scared me to the point where I didn’t want to sleep again. Nowadays, I don’t go through sleep paralysis, anymore, but still feel alarmed that I might go through it again. I’ve had a rough childhood and have grown up with many nightmares of my past. I’ve even had other dreams, knowing they were dreams and not even vividly real as this one, occurring multiple times. I may seem like a regular high schooler, almost 17, but I feel like I have an old soul wandering and wondering about life and the history of existence on Earth. I feel like I’ve been through a lot, I have, but I’m not even an adult yet. I wonder what this dream, vision, etc. means.
Dear Clarissa – What a wonderful dream.
To really share what I have learnt about such dreams I must ask you to click and read the links I am going to give you, because there is so much. The first one is http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/sleep-paralysis/
The rapid heart beat added to the anxiety caused by sleep paralysis is an effect of our normal awareness breaking through to new levels or dimensions. We have to remember that having a personality with self awareness is a very new thing and has only existed for a short time. Before that we were like animals that lived only in the Life Will – what we usually call instincts. So the development of self awareness was an immense step, and left us very vulnerable, and still does.
Many people, as their awareness reaches beyond what they feel is their normal self, feel scared. Such resistances cause us to create awful dreams and fears as a means of avoiding our own inner world and its wonders. We feel that we will be swallowed up and we will die. It is important to say that when we meet the experience of powerlessness through becoming aware of the hugeness of your Life, which we are usually unaware if, it feels like something alien or attacking, and it is a shock. See http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/extending-your-awareness/
Your dream is a reflection of a truth, but a truth from a different dimension of your being – see http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dimensions-of-human-experience/
A hard beginning in our life is often a preparation for the special life work you are preparing for. It might not lead to worldly recognition, but it gives you your needs and great satisfaction. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/going-beyond/

Really, none of us are normal “high school girls”. But you are blessed because you have seen the wonder inside you. 🙂

Argy – I wonder if you missed seeing the entry ‘Lost’. “But feelings of being lost are simply that – feelings – not facts. The only reality is what you feel is real or what you believe. If you believe you are lost, well, that is a world you are creating. Without consciousness the whole world and cosmos disappears for you. So the only reality is actually your conscious awareness of your experience.
Years ago as I started my second marriage and felt like hell I visited the local fortune teller. Her puzzled response was that she could see no future for me. It was so true I sank even deeper into the hell I felt. Then after a day of that I realised that all the fortune teller was doing was reflecting back at me what I felt. I could change the way I felt and so create a different future. I did and I have.”
Also you faced the feeling of death. It is very necessary to face the illusion of death to really know who and where we are. See http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/opening-to-life/ and http://dreamhawk.com/approaches-to-being/martial-art-of-the-mind/
My dream was about, that I was pregnant and my water broke and then I look in the mirror and I see my heart beating from my chest then I show my brother in the dream and he felt it and said that’s not good and when he touched it, it seemed that a piece came out of my chest.
Every time I realize I’m dreaming I simultaneously become aware that my dream heart isn’t beating. However, it is not because of any damage incurred in the dream, but it is as if it never had a pulse. It is intriguing, because I can bleed in the dream if it is after a tiring day, even without a pulse. Is it possible that it is simply a dream cue, much like how your hands never look correct in a dream?

Emily – A fascinating dream. For you appear to be aware of another dimension of you that most people are not, or are afraid of experiencing. For it is only the body that has or needs heartbeats. We have several levels of us, several are without any body awareness at all. See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/dimensions-of-human-experience/

It is almost certainly caused by feelings of stress or fear. But if you can, ask a doctor to check your heart to see if it is strong enough to face the operation.
I dreamt that I shot myself in my heart with a gun, it hurt but I didn’t die. In real life, the day before I got to know that the one I love since years back loves someone else, and I guess that kind of broke me.
aaj maine sapne me apna heart doctor dwara nikaate dekha.inka kya matlab hoga.plz reply my question
but jo doctor tha usme 1 ko jaanta hu wo real me doctor nhi h.dusre doctor ko nhi pechaanta.
