Crow Raven

Being carrion birds, and so often seen near corpses or roadside kill, so they are often linked with death or feelings about death; bad news; fear; unconscious feelings. Some people see them as associated with personal death, mostly because that is how they are used in films. But more often they are simply your own dark thoughts, probably about your own future, that you are doomed and on the slippery slope. So for goodness sake, realise that thoughts are creative, and you are creating an awful feeling and so you can escape from it. See Being the Person or Thing

It can at times depict the negative aspect of father. The dark intelligence in underhanded people or animals; forces in life that seem to have intelligent direction yet are not outwardly visible. Sometimes seen as a messenger between heaven and earth, an omen of death, and a seer of the hidden truth in the unconscious.

Crows also make their sound in flight, and then it is about telling their fellows where they are; a sort of positioning. Crows are a group bird and are supportive of their fellows. See Birds

Crows can sometimes mean that they are messengers from the dark or unconscious side of you. In such a role they can act as a protector – maybe even a male protector. But also they are seen in some dreams as showing anxiety and darkness in a persons life.

Example: In some ways, it felt like a death of whatever phase connected me with those who were holding me back through falsehood and imposing their ego-driven will upon me. In others, I felt the message was still to continue my work and ethic, regardless, and let these people carry on to their own kingdoms. I felt the dream in some ways reasserted this role I played in life.

Example: The other woman was also left where we slept and I saw again the same thing under her on my left. Two dead and drenched crows, either side of me as I still laid there. It also seemed/felt as if whilst both crows were under the women more than under me, the beaks of these crows had been touching, only just, my arms while I slept. I wasn’t entirely indifferent in the dream itself to this sight… the contrast, of elevated sisterly bonding before we slept, to the sight of this suffocated/drowned crows when we woke obviously created meaning..

A day that has death in it, for to go further in the road you are travelling you need to meet and experience death – psychologically – and that is part of life. I get the impression that to some extent you were partly suffocated by the love and care you received – as shown by the dead birds. That is not a bad thing, but it is now that it will leave you to develop independence. Independence is strange thing, because it is a lifelong journey, and yet we are never actually independent. But that is what the death is about and it is like an initiation into a new chapter of your life. Remember to keep the faith in our divine prosperity, and that we shall all secure it.

Idioms: as the crow flies; eat crow; Something to crow about; crow’s feet; old crow.

What does it mean if I was getting chased by a crow that’s all I remember but it was intense

Dear Ben – Anything moving toward you in a dream usually signifies that you are becoming more aware of it, feeling it more intensely. So being chased in a dream usually denotes that you are feeling something you fear more intensely and are trying to avoid confronting it. This is not usually a good policy, as you can never get away from yourself.
The way to understand what the crow is symbolising is to stop running and face it; http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/secrets-power-dreaming/

I had a dream I was in a field and there were lots of crows flying about. I flapped my arms and started flying with them.

I had a dream last night about crows. It’s a little foggy at this point, but I recall the dream itself having a very happy feeling to it. I’m not sure of the location, it seemed like a medow or even my grandma’s (who passed a month ago) yard. In the dream a rather large crow started following me. He/she let me pick it up. More showed up. We played. I would chase them, they would chase me. There was laughter all around. All in all a good feeling, but looking at what crows generally mean…I’m confused.

I had a strange dream where I was walking in a park and after every few steps I saw a mother crow playing with a baby crow. When I look back, I see around 4-5 such mother crows playing with or comforting their young ones (baby crows). What kind of message would this be?

I dreamed I was sitting on a wooden bench right outside the front doors of the Library using Wi-Fi. A very large black crow flew to my left side on the bench with me next to the doors. It was a sunny cool day. The crow chattered to me, just kinda happy. It stayed very close to me. At first I was startled and apprehensive because it was a crow and they’re creepy, but the crow was not angry, or evil-like. It was very friendly to me. I remember in the dream I relaxed towards it some while it was there. I’ve never dreamed of a crow before but where I live there are a lot of crows about. Always has been.

I really hope someone can tell me what my dream meant from last night. I was at my house I grew up in and my husband and father were there. It’s been almost exactly year since my dad passed and I’ve been really struggling. In my dream I was sitting on my dads couch and he was over to my right. I don’t remember if we spoke. I remember the bird to my left. Sitting on the top of the couch. I saw it and was okay at first and then I got freaked out. Begging them to get it. It started to fly. It didn’t scratch me but my dad grabbed it n then I woke up

I had a dream last night that there were 2 crows in my car. I started freaking out and one went out the window when I went put it down, but stayed flying right next to me. The other stayed in the car started biting at my hand, but it didn’t hurt….then I woke up. Does this mean anything with 2 crows in my dream? Or the flight and biting?!

Hello,

Last night I had a dream that a HUGE black crow is descending down from the sky coming right at me. He grabs me and I am flying with him!! The setting where he grabs me is by a dock near water. I fly around with him, he adjusts how he holds me but I feel him hurting me and bleeding form his grip. He then suddenly starts talking to me and asks me how I’m doing and if I’m okay.

He drops me off in a ware house and I see there are people who were looking for me they see me and try and come and rescue me. He leaves behind a raisin (the raisin looks just like a chilli) I eat the raisin. I am not that scared throughout this ordeal.

I really am not sure what this means.

So just lastnight I had a dream that I was hanging at the back of my house with some friends and this crow slowly flew down to my friends who were sitting together and they just started pushing it away, so I guess they showed their dark side.. then I tried running inside but it flew to me and I tried going inside but it opened it’s claws and tried grabbing me but I yanked my back and ran inside faster. So I stayed inside and tried communicating with my friends who were still outside of my house. But I couldn’t and was scared to go outside since then, so I guess I showed my anxiety. Lol

Dear Tanna – The way I see your dream is that you are becoming aware of an aspect of you that you would not put in the forefront; perhaps because you have judged it as “bad”?
    See http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/whole-2/
I reckon that you are practicing some form of self-observation – http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/self-observation/ – in your dream and/or waking life, because you were able to observe the influence/thought “coming down slowly”.
    Good for you!
Projection, if used in the right way, can become a form of self-observation as well.
So what you see in your dream friends at first “and they just started pushing it away”, you then realise is the way you approach your dark side/unconscious side as well; “and ran inside faster”.
    See http://dreamhawk.com/inner-life/the-unconscious-2/
    and
    http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/the-archetype-of-the-shadow/
You wrote “So I stayed inside and tried communicating with my friends who were still outside of my house. But I couldn’t…………”
What did you want to communicate and why couldn’t you?
It is good to realise that we are all afraid of looking at our shadow. I think partly because we are afraid of “the unknown” and partly because we have judged our shadow “as bad” and so something to get rid of as fast as possible and to never look at again.
I trust that reading the Archetype of the Shadow, will help you to understand that “Life does not work that way” and that facing “your crow” will make that you do not have to run from (parts of) yourself anymore.

-Bella 2015-08-17 17:28:13

I dreamt with crows last night. I came home and found a group of crows in my living room that entered through an open window. Then I opened the bathroom and a baby gray crow was standing on the sink flapping his wings and stumbling. I carried him out and put him on the table in the living room and he collapsed. I ran to the kitchen to find something to give him and brought a few grapes to him. I squeezed them over his beak and the juice formed a small puddle by his beak. He looked like he was dying because he wasn’t moving but his beak started to move and he drank the juice. I ran back to the kitchen to get more grapes and I came back the baby crow was standing up straight and joined the adult crows in the living room. Then I woke up.

    -Anna - Tony's Assistant 2015-09-06 11:52:44

Dear Bella – The way I see your dream is that you open your mind for supporting thoughts/feelings to enter; the living room is the mental and the emotional space you live in.
I wonder if you went to church or if you had visited friends that were supportive in some way, before you had the dream.
The supporting thoughts and feelings give you strength to feed a still vulnerable aspect of yourself that was struggling to stay alive.
Do you know which part of you was struggling? To explore you can use “Being the baby crow” – http://dreamhawk.com/dream-encyclopedia/acting-on-your-dream/#BeingPerson
You feed it with the juice of the grape and so you feed it with the love and supporting thoughts you had received yourself first.
    See also http://dreamhawk.com/dream-dictionary/grape/
A wonderful way to use what has been given you.
    Anna 🙂

I had a dream last night. In my dream I was travelling with my mom on a moped when my shoelace gets stuck to the wheel and two people wave at us to stop the vehicle. After I get down from the vehicle I try to tie my shoelace when a black starts attacking me.It tries to strike my head but I protect myself with my arms and not let it touch my head. Seeing me fight the man who waved at us to stop comes and grabs the crow by its legs and throws it to the ground. The crow doesn’t move. I’m not sure if it died, I probably think it did… I thank the man and we then we reach home.. What can I interpret from this dream?

Two years back I had a dream in which I walk out of my exam hall and a relative of mine calls my mother to tell her that I will be attacked by crows and that I should be careful.. When I walk out on the streets a crow attacks me just like the way she said and I manage to escape because of her and run towards a temple…. 15 days after this dream my grandfather who loved me the most died…

I hope I can find some help here. I really want an interpretation to this.
